Pros:

Does not bleach materials like Proactive does.

Cons:

Everything! The formula is very rough on the skin, it hurts to put it on. And it makes your acne worse!

AWFUL! Do not waste your money on Murad. I tried it for a month and my skin was horrendus. I had used Proactive and my skin was relatively okay, so I thought I would give Murad a try to knock out the rest of my blackheads and the few white heads I would get around my period. Instead I completely broke out, worse than when I was a teenager and was prescribed Accutane for severe acne. And it never went away. They talk about a purging period, which is ridiculous. My skin is awful, I have tons of bumps on my neck, forehead, and chest (all where I used Murad). I have switched back to Proactive and am getting monthly facials to help. I wish I never tried Murad. It will take me months to fix what it did to my skin. Save yourself some money, time, and heartache over bad skin by staying far far away from this product.

Pros:

it calmed my acne down a tiny bit

Cons:

My face was so clear when i used proactive, but the infomercial really got to me so I tried and my face got worse and now and still breaking out in places I've never broken out before. I also see the murad estitican once a week and FOR WHAT??????

It is a waste of money they my estitician said it will get better but I still have ugly breakouts it has been over a year and a half and nothing so this is a sign to get the heck off of murad......I agree with others when you stop you break out fast and bad........MURAD SUCKKKKKKKKSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! I CANT BELEIVE I USED IT FOR THAT LONG......BUT THEY KEPT TELLING ME IT WAS NORMAL AND IT WILL GET BETTER WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY......

Pros:

It is too soon for me to tell!

Cons:

I DON'T KNOW YET!

I have very pale, sensitive skin! I started getting this rash-like breakout on my chin, cheeks, and nose and I've had it for a week or two and its not going away. I've had the Murad stuff for two days...and when i woke up the individual spots where bright red and wasn't looking too pretty. The packet said it could get worse before better so I'm going to try it! Oh and there is a 60-day trial so you can return it if you hate it!! Some say it works some say it doesn't, to me it sounds like Proactiv all over again but worth a try cause my face is disgusting!

Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Made skin very sensitive, dry, irritated, and MADE ACNE WORSE than before use

This product was terrible. I never had sensitive skin but after using Murad it was so dry it was flaking it and my face hurt. The breakouts were worse than before I originally started using the product. I am trying to get my face to recover from it but I had to calm all the irritation down first because everything I used on my face would hurt it. I used Aveeno Ultra calming cleanser and night lotion and it helped make it less sensitive. Don't try Murad it's a waste of money and makes your skin worse than it was before using it. Also makes your skin look dull and lifeless. If you've used it and want the glow to come back to your face try using Aloe vera, it helped get my faces natural glow back I'm using that currently and will start spot treating, these regimens just seem to make the skin worse.

Pros:

sales pitch makes you beleive your buying something great

Cons:

it is extremely irritating

even though i had used proactiv for 3 years, this stuff burnt me! it literally felt like a chemical burn! i thought my skin was tough, but appearantly not! it even made my exsisting acne turn into bright red scars. and i have not used it in over a month.

Pros:

The packaging it arrived in.

Cons:

Everything else.

It made me way worse. Cystic acne began to pop up all over my face. I'm faired skinned so it scar even though I didn't pop my pimples. They say it gets worse before getting better (Plurging Process), it's a scam.

Pros:

CAN clear skin ( although that doesn't necessarily mean it will for you )

moisturizer leaves skin feeling nice and soft!

Cons:

I hate how the bottles are made, the stuff just oozes out

CANNOT clear skin ( it depends on the person i guess)

so i have been using this product for about 2 months, i would use it morning and night. my acne is probably considered to be moderate. This product really didn't help me, but i didnt have an awful experience with it like some people on this site have. It made me a little bit more red, but it did not sting and it did not make my face worse. The problem is it didn't really make my face any better, in the places where i didnt have acne or where i would get acne every once in a while i stopped getting pimples, but in the problem areas there was no change. so i would only recommend this product if you have light acne ( although im sure there is something cheaper you can buy to treat light acne).

Pros:

nice smell, nice consistancy

Cons:

i have so many more tiny zits in places i never used to break out in. Also, my face is kind of itchy. However, it has only been 3 day since i stated Murad. I hope this works! I am concerned that this is making my skin worst though.

I'll give it another week and i hope that the so called "purging" process ends. I am skeptical about his product right now. However, ill keep my make up close for time being. My skin is the worst is has ever been since i started using Murad. Perhaps it is purging all the years of abuse and nasty products i have been using. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
