Pros:

Cleared my acne very well.And my skin looks healthy too.My dark spots were also faded.Now I am almost acne free.

Cons:

It was harsh at first.

Pros:

This is the first product that has been able to keep my acne under control.

Cons:

I don't find the Acne Spot Treatment as effective as products that use benzoyl perozide. My face does get a bit shiny during the day.

I love this product. I tried Proactive, but it did nothing for me. Murad works great for me. I love the alpha hydroxy Exfoliating Acne Treatment Gel - that has been the key to keeping my breakouts at a minimum. The Skin Perfecting Lotion makes my face feel hydrated, although makes my face a bit shiny. Still, it's nothing like the oil that I had prior to using the product. I also use St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub a few times as week, and Smashbox Anti-Shine mattifier every day to keep the shine down. I still break out around my period, but get 1 or 2 zits vs. the 30 I got before. Even dealing with Murad has been great. I don't use the products as frequently as they are mailed out, so I requested a hold be put on my account - and have had no issues. Trying to quit Proactive was a pain in the ass - they kept sending me more products, expecting me to pay for them, or pay to ship them back. The price-point is fair, as well. $60 for two months worth (which last

Pros:

The spot treatment is good at soothing blemishes

Cons:

Neverending purging

The cleanser is fairly well however I have seen better results from the Neutrogena oil-free acne wash. The exfoliating gel makes my face feel nasty and is probably the cause of my neverending purging. The skin perfecting lotion makes my face way too shiny and I only squeeze a pea sized amount of lotion out. Basically, I would not reccomend this regimen.

Pros:

has massively controled my skin and 3 weeks on it im almost completely clear except for small whiteheads on my forehead but their going away. the only thing that has worked for me so far. i didnt go through purging stage.

Cons:

using the acne treatment gel once a night still dried my skin out so i only use it every other night.

IF YOU WANT CLEAR SKIN WITH MURAD READ MY REVIEW! started using murad 3 weeks ago and prayed that this would work for me because ive tried so many diffrent products and none of them worked to my standards. im 15 years old and i dont care what i have to pay to get clear skin , i just wanted clear skin because i was tired of hearing "oh you should use proactiv it works or other acne products" when in fact i had been using it and it was not working. i tried acne free didnt work, neither did model acne cream, juliets all natural face scrub, clean n clear, neutrogena, carleys clean and smooth. over a period of a year. murad i started using it 2x a day and the acne gel only once a day i was seeing clearer skin in 3 days and on the 6th day 4 new big pimples showed up. so i started using the acne gel only once every other night and the cleanser and lotion twice a day every day. wala i havent had this good skin in a long time. i think people get bad results because they overuse the acne gel.

Pros:

Cleared up acne
Skin looks glowing
Less oily skin

Cons:

Irratated sensitive areas of my skin like my neck and jaw

I have tried so many products the last being a 3 month course on roaccutane and nothing has worked as well as this. My acne cleared up within days, and even around my monthly when my skin usually flares up my skin was completely clear. I have severely oily skin and now this has reduced so that I only have to blot my skin once a day instead of every hour. I have also noticed my scars are fading too which I was very concious of. Definitely reccomend if you have severely oily skin with moderate acne.

Pros:

Got read of my mild acne, Lightened my acne scars and made my skin smoother and softer.

Cons:

So expensive.

I needed an acne treatment to clear up my breakouts that I would get once or twice a month ( only about 3 or so pimples) so I decided to give this a try because the sales woman at the store swore by it. She said her kids use it and they have really bad acne, and if i didn't like it I could return it and get my money back. So I said hey why not, since day one of using this product I saw an improvement in my skin tone, and even since then I have not gotten any pimples or blackheads. I love this product, everyone skin is different and what what works for one person may not work for someone else. I would and have recommended this product to my friends. I only gave 4 stars because of the price being so expensive. I love it!!!

Pros:

works!

face has cleared right up, i dont have to take antibiotics anymore, no redness, no dryness like proactive, and my skin is smooth!!! my face looked just like the 'Sam' they advertise and my results have been just like hers!! this stuff is a miracle!!! i do the 3 step acne kit once a day and that's it. :)

Pros:

The Cleanser smells good!

I am not done using this system. My mom ordered the 4 week kit for me. The first week, as it said, it started to clear up, I am on my 2nd going on 3rd week and behold the purging process. I am actually getting less pimples, but the ones I currently have, it really must be cleaning out the pores because I can pop the same pimple over and over. Things I like about it: the cleanser doesn't make my face red, only when I have to rub all the other stuff on does it turn red, which is just from me rubbing my face because I have sensitive skin. The 2nd step serum smells icky but it's tolerable. The spot treatment doesn't really amaze me, but I like the mask, and the moisturizer is ok. At least it's not greasy or irritating. I have been to esthetician school and I see a lot of people on here saying they have had really bad experiences but NEWS FLASH: MURAD CONTAINS SULFUR, AND A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE ALLERGIES TO SULFUR WHO PROBABLY DON'T KNOW IT.

Pros:

Smells good and makes my skin feel good!

Cons:

Expensive - but good skin is worth it!!

I had been using Proactiv for 5+years and my face was starting to break out so I decided to change my regiment. I have to say that in the first two weeks I noticed my skin was softer and not as dry as it used to be from using the repairing lotion from the Proactiv kit. Then from about week 3-5 my face went through the purging process and all I can say is thank goodness for makeup!! I had major breakouts but, by week 5 I was cleared up and looking great. I am now only left with the red acne scars which I hope will eventually fade by using the Murad products. I am sooo glad I gave this chance and I think it is important that people realize everyone's skin is different. What may work for me may not work for you .... or it might!!!! Try it !!!

Pros:

I started using it about a year ago i was always worried about my acne but now i hardly ever breakout.

Cons:

I cant use the lotion my skin is very sensitive to it.

I would recomened this to anyone that worrys about there acne. I got the 6.75 oz bottle of cleanser that has lasted me almost a year now and i wash my face at least once a day but sometimes 2 or 3. Its totally worth the price if you use the right amount. I dont think i'll go back to any other cleanser.
