Pros:

Doesn't contain BP which is so bad for skin. Might have worked- I couldn't use it long enough to find out.

Cons:

dries your skin out like the gobi desert. Is pricey with expensive shipping. Makes your face fall off. Contains hydrogen peroxide which is a known carcinogen.

I was attracted to the idea of the product at first because it has no BP and claimed to not dry out your skin. What a joke! I used it for only 3 days, by day 2 my skin was SO dry and was literally peeling off my face like a snake shedding it's skin! I thought "this can't be healthy" and after reading the reviews here and on other independent sites I was too scared to continue use. I just couldn't see using something that harsh long term. It would burn slightly and make my skin red when I applied it. I had to apply moisturizer like 9 times in one day and it still didn't help the dryness. Hope I can get a hassle free refund. My skin is normal to dry, never oily so maybe for people with oily skin the drying aspect would be a good thing, I don't know. Maybe it would have worked to clear up acne, I didn't stick with it long enough to find out, but it just didn't seem healthy for my skin. Sort of like pouring bleach on your face twice a day. Oh yea, and the website does not give a list of ingredients so I found out after receiving the product that it contains hydrogen peroxide which damages skin cells.

Pros:

The clarifying cleanser makes my face feel very soft.

Cons:

After 2 weeks of use the clarifying toner and exfoliating gel make my face burn and become red. The burning only lasts a short time and by morning, the redness is gone
DRY, DRY, DRY SKIN - by far the worst part for me

I will be 30 this yr. I have suffered from acne since being a preteen. I have used proactive, neutrogena, clearasil, along with every other over the counter product available. It is true, products work for some people and not for others. I am 3 weeks in to trying Murad. Because I have sensitive skin, I am only using this product 1 time a day. I am a little disappointed because my face has become VERY dry, like when I used Proactive. The doctor said dryness would not occur. And that has become the worst part for me. I will keep with it, I know it will get worse, before it gets better. The medicine has to draw out all the dirt in order to heal. I'm expecting to have more breakouts. I am hoping that by my birthday in August, I will have clear beautiful skin, as this product advertises! The paperwork I received when I purchased Murad said I would have clear skin by March 22....we will see and I will update my review as things change.

Pros:

leaves skin soft and clear, use the product with the vitamin C lotion and maybe ill work

Cons:

not using the gel every day only once a week can stand the pain

After reading all the comments i am not sure of the results, but i don't want to go back to neutrogena or proactiv i am only 13 and that stuff was leaving my face full of red spots i am only in my 3rd week so i guess i will stay another week to see if it works

Wasted 5 months and wads of cash
Background first: I consider myself a hippy (obviously) and really wanted to go down the "natural" path when it came to my acne. Tried that for years to no avail. Finally got on Murad after my cousin professed his deep love for it. I should have known better because I dislike him and pretty much everything he stands for. Ha. Anyways, got the kit, was warned that it would take a while to get all the existing forming pimples out so I was mentally prepared for it not to work overnight. I followed the instructions to A T for 4 months. Sure, I got depressed when I didnt see clearing but I just kept with the mantra "slow and steady" and "Patience". At around 4 months of dedicated use, I got the worst cystic breakout I have ever had in my life. It was one of those "shut yourself in the room" type of breakouts and it didn't get better for... well weeks. I remember being blown away that after having shelled out so much damn money on this miracle product, I would not only not see any clearing but actually find it to be getting WORSE. It was then that I just went in and threw the entire product line out. They were almost full and I am not flush with cash so it was definitely a big financial loss but I just felt like I was doing more continual damage to my skin by even finishing what I had. And I lost patience. I started the search for new products. Went to my dermatologist - they wanted to put me on drugs again (NO WAY!!!). I contemplated R&F but had heard bad things. I actually just was using Clearasil for a while... HAHAHAHA. What a joke. Four months or so ago, I read about Ninja Skincare on Amazon - random place I know. I had never heard of it but it had great reviews so I gave them a call, pretty deserate for a solution and pretty dubious. Had an amazing, life-changing consultation with one of their estheticians and got on their product stat. Remarkable stuff. Not since I was on Tetracycline in high school have I had such clear skin - and without the terrible side effects of Tetracycline. Only reason I gave Murad 2 stars is because the cost for it isn't as exorbitant as some other treatment plans out there but overall, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone - other than people I dont like, like my cousin. HAHA.

Pros:

Tingled. Kind of cleared my face.

Cons:

Acne came back. Painful. Drying. Too expensive.

I used this product for the four weeks it suggested it would take to clear my face. Well, it kind of cleared my face, but it left it dry, red, and in pain. The acne wasn't really going away so I returned it when they sent me the larger samples. BOTTOM LINE: This product is TOO expensive for how poorly it performed.

Pros:

Lotion felt good; easy to use.

Cons:

Made me breakout more.
Gel burned even after two months of use.

Prior to using this product I had very light acne, only on my right cheek and occasionally on my forehead. After the first month of using Acne Complex I had acne like in places that I never had it before. My left cheek was covered in red spots, white heads and tiny blemishes. My right cheek was disgusting and the acne seemed to have migrated down closer to my jawline. I decided that to keep going, to try it for another month. I continue to break out and my skin looks 10x worse than when I first started. I'm going to stop using this product and go back to my simple OTC brand that seemed to keep my acne under control. So much for being clear and staying clear.

Pros:

My skin felt a little softer

Cons:

Didn't help with acne

My parents bought this for me because I am in college and broke and have been ignoring my acne for years now. I tried all the antibiotics and stuff in high school and nothing at all worked. This didn't work either but my skin does kinda feel a bit softer so maybe if your acne isn't bad it can give you nice skin.

Pros:

-Made skin a little smoother
- Didnt dry out skin

Cons:

- Didnt make face clear in 4 weeks
- Face looks super oily and gets really oily throughout the day

This stuff does not work. It definitely doesn't work as fast as they say it does because I have been on it for 7 weeks and still see no improvement. My skin is constantly oily, I am getting more and more pimples, and my face just looks horrible! it's really embarrassing to show my face around people.

Pros:

The facewash makes you feel refreshed, the lotion is nice and light but does a good job of moisturizing.

Cons:

Its extremely harsh. It make my face feel dry, at first i thought it may work, then my face exploded and i am now 2 months after discontinuing use am still trying to clear up the pimples that it "purged" this is an exteme system. It will literally make your face explode!

Even tho the only thing i still use is the Skin Perfecting lotion, i will never use this system again. The gel they give you just burns your skin off and makes pimples more inflamed. Id rather use BP anyday than SA. If you want to try their lotion, go to Ulta, they sell their products seperately, Sephora too. Otherwise, stay away, you can go ahead and asume it may work for you but then you will come back and cry cus it didnt. Do dans regimen instead!

Pros:

My acne cleared up a little bit in the first few days.

The clay mask is easy to apply and the lotion is nice.

Cons:

-My acne came back and is still here after almost a month - I have never had this many white-heads in my LIFE!
-The second step's bottle is as hard as a rock (how do I get stuff out?
-IT BURNS!! OH GOD IT BURNS!! ICE, WATER, ANYTHING - MAKE IT STOP!!

Don't get it - you would be better off buying a bag of raw bacon and rubbing THAT on your face than getting this crap - at least bacon won't BURN. Seriously, you don't even know how much this stuff burns. Oh, it's not so bad for the first few days, but it builds, and builds, and BUILDS, until you're eyes are streaming with tears from the pain and you need to wash the stuff off again. I don't even CARE if this stuff works - nothing should hurt this much. Also, this stuff causes immortal white-heads. They would come onto my face for a visit, then invite friends, until a whole colony had made themselves a very painful home on my upper lip. I got sick of it, and tried to pop them - BIG MISTAKE. They GREW BACK the next day, bigger than ever, except now they were crusty. I haven't been able to shave for 2 weeks now, and I am afraid to talk to people face to face. I have used all of these ingredients before, and NEVER had this awful of a reaction.
