Pros:

Refreshing tingly feeling with the cleanser and toner, good size bottles. Less irritation, helps with red skin. It feels great on my skin!

Cons:

Hate the exfoliating gel. It makes my face red and irritated. Takes a while to put on. For some it takes longer than 4 weeks to see results fast.

I've struggled with acne since I turned 14, i'm 19 now. My mom bought be murad, because my dad got it for me when i was 16, it cleared up my skin super fast. Then I ran out of it and we couldn't afford for another at the time. I realized they change the routine, it used to be the cleanser, toner, and the lotion. Now its the cleanser, the exfoliating gel, and the lotion. When I started using it, the gel made my face red, like sunburn and the lotion was to watery for me. So what I do now, is I ordered the toner, got that. Instead of using the lotion, I bought vitamin E oil. The Vitamin E oil is excellent at helping acne marks. So my routine in the morning is: I wash my face with the cleanser, tone, and use this lotion, thats called Alba. It has natural algae in it, and its really really refreshing on the skin. It doesn't clog pores. At Night: I wash my face with the cleanser, but instead of using my hands, I use this little face buffer I found at Salley's. It's gentle enough for everyday use. Then I tone, after that I use the vitamin E oil. I use very little and gently massage it into my skin. Only when the acne marks are. Since I started using vitamin e oil, my skin is a lot, a lot better than it ever has been before. My skin never looked better. I feel confident enough to walk through malls with my head held high. Good Luck everyone :) Oh btw for those of you sceptical about the vitamin E oil, look at the reviews on this website.

Pros:

It works! Love the moisturizer.

Cons:

It takes awhile (6 months) to clear your skin.

I've suffered with acne for 18 years. I decided to try Murad because I was tired of ProActiv bleaching every fabric it touched and it didn't get my skin 100% clear. Murad did! It took several months, but my skin is smooth, glowing and totally blemish free. So stick with it! It will eventually work! The Murad oil-absorbing sunscreen is wonderful too.

Pros:

Smells great & it actually works for me

Cons:

A lot of products to use & it's becoming expensive--have to budget for this

I've been using this since the summer and I'm happy w/ the results. I had acne on my back, chest, and face and now I have none. Amazing since I've had acne since I was 11(i'm 28 now). I still have minimal breakouts but that's hormonal. Having clear skin 3 out of 4 weeks deserves 5 stars from me! I would recommend also using the clarifying toner since that seems to work great w/ the system. The system is a little drying but if you use a good moisturizer you should be ok. It's worth a try esp. if you've been playing the guinea pig all of your life w/ all of these other acne products. Good luck b/c having acne can really put a damper on life.

Pros:

CLEARED MY SKIN! Smells good, lasts a long time, afforable, get it at sephora(online or at store)....super love this product

heals acne fast if i pick at it

Cons:

made my skin breakout the 2nd-3rd week of using it and brought them to white heads that i had to pick at but the moisturizer and spot treatment heals it fast

also the gel stings the first couple weeks but it lessened as my skin got clearer.

I LOVE THIS STUFF! i used proactiv for years but it stopped working for me.. murad got rid of all my little underground bumps on my forehead and cleared my chin up. the first week it did some clearing, but the 2nd/3rd my face was bad (also because i break out before my period) so i was expecting it to anyway. i had gross white heads on my chin that i had to pick at- but the sulfur spot treatment healed them within 2 days. its the 4th week and i am so happy with the results. my skin is clear and i cant believe. i recommend this to anyone with skin that doesnt take to benzoyl peroxide. murad uses sulfur (love it) and salicyic acid. try it and give it atleast 4-5 weeks. i hope it works for you :o)

The price , but if you get the 30 day kit it will last you a long time.

This stuff is AMAZING! I can't live without it. My skin is BEAUTIFUL thanks to Murad. My skin is so smooth and clear! And I have amazing confidence knowing that my skin looks great without makeup! I have been using Murad for about 4/5 weeks and I saw results in 10 days. I would definitely recommend Murad acne complex to anybody that is tired of using stuff that doesn't work. I'm 14 years old and I have had sooo much trouble with my skin and now I have finally found something that really works!!! Yes it is a bit expensive but if you get the 30 day kit that will last you a long time. I TOTALLY RECOMMENDED THIS!

Pros:

Smells good, feels good, has a cooling effect.
The spot treatment definitely gets rid of any pimple I get virtually overnight! The cleanser makes my skin feel soft and clean, and the lotion is my favorite part! The exfoliating gel is refreshing :

Cons:

At first the exfoliating gel is harsh and burns but only because I accidentally used it twice a day, when they advise you to use it once a day for the first 2 weeks... The purging process sucked but worth it after. Doesn't do too much for blackheads.

I recommend this with no hesitation. It works, it gets rid of my breakouts, I don't have any bumps on my face period and nothing else worked for me. It's definitely worth a try!! It's easy to get at Sephora and online on the website it's even cheaper.

Pros:

I bought MURAD from Sephora on July 27, 2009. I've had it for less than 3 weeks and I don't even wear makeup anymore! I had used Proactiv for about 3 years, and wouldn't go back to it if you paid me (and I used to love it!) I love Murad!

Cons:

Nothing. Sure it's $45.00 but you barely use any. Proactiv (and most other acne facewashes) are comparable in price, and don't last as long.

I am a huge lover of makeup. I am very girly and love having fun with it, but I have struggled with mild acne (a few blemishes here and there) for about 10 years, I'm 23 years old and often times even non-comedogenic makeup made me break out. Since using Murad I now only wear MAC Powder (more to mask a few freckles on my nose :)) and some blush. I am thrilled with the product in every way. Thank you Sephora, you're amazing for showing me this product! I am the happiest with my skin, I've ever been!

Pros:

The cleanser is really nice. It doesn't wash away essential oils and doesn't leave your skin dry. You also don't have to use a lot to get a good lather.

Cons:

A bit expensive.

This is a very good product. I use it twice a day everyday. If you can't use it the way it needs to be used, then it isn't worth the expense. As far as the purging period goes, it was only about a week for me. This is the only product that has worked consistently for me. It doesn't dry out my skin and it has a moisturizer built into the system!
