Pros:

Hydrates my skin and clears the acne with regular use.

Cons:

Expensive, sometimes made my skin too dry but you have to know how to control the doses of Sulfur which is present in the SPOT TREATMENT & MUSK.

The treating gel has bit tingling sensation but I guess its because it battling so many bacteria's at the same time. The Moisturizer is the best... I usually use the full recommended dose at night as it is a bit oily and only half the recommended dose during the day time. The acne spot treatment is a life saver... I use it regularly at night and it also helps to fade away previous acne mark. I hate those ugly black spots... Overall it has been a dramatic experience because on the mark of 2-3 weeks my skin broke out like crazy but soon I got to see result... The trick is to be patient and sticking with it... I hope my remaining acne clears out... still working on the damn black spots...

Pros:

The cleanser felt cool and fresh to the skin.

This package cleared my skin.

Cons:

The toner stung a lot. I can only imagine the active ingredient cleaning out the inner walls of my every pore. It also had a strong smell that needs a bit of getting used to. My theory on this is that no fragrance-inducing ingredients were used on the formulation. NOTE: Most fragrances can cause irritation, which results to acne, to sensitive skin.

The Murad Acne Complex cleared my skin. I had been on Roaccutane therapy. After the second therapy, acne and excess oil returned to my face. Worse, it was even more severe than before I had undergone the Roaccutane therapy. My skin is clear of acne now. Sometimes, one or two pimples still pop out, but with continued maintenance, the problem is controlled and the skin maintained. My skin also felt somewhat firmer after a month of using Murad. *From all the acne stories I've heard and from my own experience, treating acne involves compatibility with the active ingredient. The active ingredient of Murad is salicylic acid. I have a friend who told me that Salicylic acid was not compatible with his skin, and it could not control his acne, so... Results may still vary.

I started getting acne when I was around 11, I'll be 16 in about a month. I've tried countless products, I really have. Most cleared my skin a little for like 2 weeks, then made it worse. Clean & Clear, Neutrogena, Acne Free, and so on. This coming Wednesday will be my 4th week on Acne Complex and I'm really happy with my so far results. Instead of waking up and praying I didn't get a new zit over night, I wake up to find my face glowing. I had moderately severe acne when I got the product. Now it's light, but as I stated, my four weeks aren't even up yet. I have a lot of faith in Murad, I really do. A few weeks before I ordered, I swear I went through every bad review on this webpage. The ones who said everyone's skin is different, that you SHOULD TRY IT, JUST TO SEE IF IT WORKS FOR YOU, pushed me. It also helped to read the details of what their acne looked like. So here's my details I started wearing makeup at 11, that's what I believe triggered it. I can't exactly remember when I got the "brail" bumps, but I've never used anything that made them go away before Murad. My acne looked like a mixture of Sammi's and Deedra's. Very occasionally I'd get the huge painful bumps like Brian. Right before I started using Murad I broke out around my jawline, like Sammi's. The "Brail" bumps were all over my face, at least a couple hundred of them. The acne on my jawline itched. Usually I popped my pimples then stopped for a while and noticed it got better on its own. I have sensitive skin, most people with acne, especially bad acne do. If you do then I suggest you use it only ONCE a day. I know what my skin's limits are. I used the exfoliating acne gel every other day. After two weeks I started using it every day and my skin's fine since it's used to the products. At first I didnt want to try it because of all the bad reviews, so I tried EVERYTHING from store brand to expensive brand at the mall and most of the products at Sephora that I can afford. I even went to the dermo and that didnt work. I was browsing through Sehpora and one of the workers told me to try the $10 trial, and I was thinking, I had nothing to lose but $10 and even so, if I didnt like it I can return it. Boy was I glad I tried it. My face almost cleared up completely and i just went back to buy the 33 kit. Dont think I need everything in the kit, but I will try it..and may just use only the face wash, lotion and treatment. Sorry, this is pretty long, but I am soo happy, I finally have clear skin. I was sooo depressed before, now I dont have to hide my face and I smile alot more without my face being hurt from those crazy zits. Good Luck to all of you, I know not everyone skin is the same. Just because it worked for me doesnt mean it will work for you. But its worth the $10 try....

Pros:

It worked 4 me INSTANTLY! Better than Proactiv. Like the infomercial says! Made skin feel very smooth after 1st use and noticed a difference of clearer skin within 1 day! Only used the 3 steps and its changed my apperance. The spot tx seems to work very well overnight too.

Cons:

Gel does burn at first. Toner does too, so no longer use the toner. It reminds me of rubbing alcohol on my skin. But the cleanser and gel seem to do the trick. Now waiting for old scarring to fade but have clear smooth skin now.

Highly recommended! Nothing esle worked, especially this fast before! Wish i would have tried it sooner instead of listening to negative reviews. Im glad I found something without BP in the product because this is whats working for me. And only paid $29.99 online 4 intial shipment. Or now they have a $33 kit at Sephora that i buy instead of waiting on shipping! This price is very good considering that Proactiv used to be $49.99 before all the generic brands hit the market like Clean n Clear and all the other products i tried from the store!

I have tried clearsil, oxy, neutrogena, setafil, acnefree, everything! Nothing really worked, up until this past school year I only had a few zits, then puberty hit full force and my face broke out! After trying many products, with no success, my parents saw a commercial on TV about Acne Complex. We gave the 30 day kit a try and I was sold. After a few more breakouts during the second week, like the product information warns because the system is purging your skin, was the only time I had doubts. But then the third week came around and I was down to maybe 3 blemishes on my face, and considering the acne treatment was fighting against hormones, it worked great! Then after the fourth week I ran out, ordered the full system with the toner, WHICH I RECOMMEND you get, the system works much faster with it and it helps stop more acne from forming, and your over all skin tone improves. Now it's been about two and half weeks since I ordered the full kit and my skin is looking amazing! All that's really left is acne scars, which continue to vanish, in fact its working so well, I recommended it to a friend who tried it and is loving it too! I know some people say it's terrible that second week, but if you have moderate acne, and your face isn't overly sensitive this product really works! *OH tip: it doesn't work to well if you adjust climates, I went on a vacation from Colorado to LA and broke out a bit, most likely the humidity! Overall, this product is wonderful, after 3 years of Acne, I was so ready for clear skin, and murad helped me get there! By the way, normal cost is 29.99, toner adds $10.

I have hormonal acne. I have tried many products in my life, just like any other person who suffers from acne and nothing seems to work. I have tried the Neutrogena acne treatment set but it ended up over drying my skin. I also went to a doctor and was prescribed tretinoin, but that was too strong for my skin as I felt my skin was becoming over sensitive even with mild sun exposure. Nothing seemed to work and as I was on the verge of giving up, I remembered the informercial on Murad and thought I'd give it a try because I had nothing to loose. It worked wonders during the first week. I am on my 3rd week now, although it "purges" but I could see my skin cleared up and I am very happy there are no new breakouts. This product works for me and i would recommend it. I bought mine at Ulta by Willowbrook.

Murad is the only product I will EVER put on my face, for any issue I ever have with my skin. they have an amazing line of products, and I am indebted to Dr. Murad!! They have the best customer service, and I am a member, so I receive a kit every 60 days of the acne regimen. live chat with a REAL person, they go out of their way to ensure you are satisfied, and I know that from experience. I know this product may not work for everyone, but I am agitated by the comments I am reading! It takes more than 4 weeks to tell if a product works for you, It takes about a month and a half. You can't wash your face with a product one morning and that night and expect to have a clear complexion! Your skin has to regenerate, and that is where the "purging process" comes into play. Pimples can take a while (2-3 weeks) to actually reach your skin's surface, and everyone's skin is different. My face didn't clear up in 4 weeks as advertised, but it did in a month and a half! Murad Ance Complex and Murad's team of experts has changed my life, and the way I treat my skin. My experience with this product is top-notch, and I achieved the results I wanted and then some. My acne is gone, and now I am working with the Murad team to ensure my skin care regimen is right for me, for whatever my concerns are now, which ISN"T ACNE! I would recommend this product to anyone who loves their skin, and wants to GET CLEAR!! I suffered with hormonal cystic acne, red, irritated, itchy painful skin. Please give it a try, and if you have tried it but quit or didn't follow the regimen as directed, don't write a negative review because you didn't get to experience the full cycle.

I've been using this product for about 2 years now. It works great for me. I love this stuff. But I have very oily skin all over so bad I have to use an oil striping shampoo. Dryness has only been an issue if I don't use the lotion after. When I 1st started using it I purged really badly and thought about stopping with this regimen but I had spent so much money on it I figured I should at least finish the bottles. I'm glad I kept it up. My face cleared in three weeks. And has been that way ever since. Yes, this product is expensive. Yes, I use almost every product they have in their acne line. Yes, If I stay over at someones house on a whim and don't have it, I have a new zit the next day. I'm completely dependent on this stuff. And everyone once in a while when I'm on my cycle I get a zit or two but they go away after a day or so. Bottom line I love this stuff, and won't use anything else on my face or body but it doesn't work for everyone.

Can irritate skin at first.

I didn't see any results at firsts and the "purging" process made me inscure but after a month I started seeing results fast. I have been using it for a month and a few weeks and my skin keeps looking better every week. :)
