Hello!
I have some scars on my chest that are about two decades old.
I had bad cystic chest acne in my teens and the cysts kept on getting reopened by my football pads so thats why the scars are only in the middle of my chest.
I am in my mid-thirties now and I'd like to finally be able to go swimming without being selfconscious about my scars and I'm willing to take the plunge on medical costs to get this taken care of.
Looking at these scars, considering their age, what do you all think would be the best treatment?
I'm betting subcision (doesn't work great on its own, but can help a bit), plus maybe fillers and maybe fraxel laser might be a combo you'd hear suggested. Maybe even a punch excision or two on a couple of those big ones.
But...it depends. You want to get under the care of someone really good.
And...you're gonna probably have these forever, so look for some improvement but don't look for super dramatic removal. If you do move forward, let us know how it goes.
Educate yourself on the options first, and something tells me to make sure you educate yourself on punch techniques the most.
