Is the Phenol Peel good or bad?

Hello everyone, after careful consideration I am planning to do the Phenol Peel this summer.

I have done 3 CO2 fractional ablative. 4 TCA Crosses. 3 subcisions. 4 syringes of bellafill. 4 Punch Excision. 1 Sculptra. 6 RF microneedling

All of this has led me to maybe 30% improvement and -$20k.

I have one of the most severe forms of acne scarring. Therefore it seems phenol is the only choice left for me. I am also thinking about doing verteporfin but unsure as of now.

I would like to know if anyone has done a phenol peel and how were their results. It would help me truly decide whether or not to do the treatment. How much did it improve your scars? Did anyone's face get botched from it?

Thank you.

Unfortunately, your story isn't rare. Scarring can be super hard to improve, as you have seen.

I will be very curious to see your results if you do in fact get a deep peel. However, you want to approach this with caution, as you are, so that's good. See before and afters, and only go with someone you absolutely trust.

Verteporfin is also interesting, but I haven't seen it with deeper scarring. Have you seen before and afters on scars like yours?

You can search "phenol peel" on this site and see people's threads who have gotten it. It will give major improvement but not 100%. You will have to decide if 50-75% improvement is worth it.

It was life changing for me. Healing is long and embarrassing if you have a job, but doable.

There are risks, as in everything. Do your research and go to Dr. Rullan as he is the only one who specializes in doing it for acne scars
