This thread shares my scar treatment experience with Dr. R* in San Diego, CA. I did not spell out the full name to claim I was not paid for any unreal positive reviews or advertisement.
Overall I'm very satisfied with the effect so far after my 1st treatment, and I would definitely do more sessions for further improvement. I would like to share with you the experience, also as a thank to this great community (acne.org).
Background: I have moderate acne scars (mostly rolling and boxcar) on my cheeks and temples. These scars result from my scratching acnes during adolescence.
Day 1: I got the Quattro treatment in the order of: filler, CROSS, subcision and Erbium laser. The entire treatment lasted for about one hour.
Day 1-8: See the attached files for how it's recovering, and how it is compared with before treatment. (order: left top -> right down)
Dr. R told me it might take 2 months for the collagen regeneration, so I've scheduled a consultant in 2 month for the next step. Would keep update on this thread on how it goes.
looks great! scars were not bad before but you can definitely get good improvement. subcision will def lift up those tethered scars. I've heard him say he has had good results with just phenol cross and erbium laser. I had an issue with hypopigmentation.
Remember to wear sunscreen.
