Hello everyone,
The skin below my hidradenitis incision scar got wrinkled due to improper scar healing (no stitches).
What would be the best treatment to fix that? Can laser help in this case, or the only way is to remodel the scar with surgery?

Honestly, this doesn't look too bad. You might want to practice acceptance. Nobody is perfect!

Thank you for the response! Yes, it might not look that bad, but it looks a bit worse in real life.
If I decide to try some treatment, do you think there won't be any significant improvement? Would you recommend laser or I had to go with surgery? I got mixed advice from different doctors.

I would think a bunch of ablative fractional laser treatments (with PRP) would probably help reduce it's look, but usually you have to get a bunch of them. Excision (surgery) sounds interesting too as long as you can find someone really good to do it. In that case you could be left with just one small linear scar. I can see why you've gotten mixed messages on it. You really could go with either way depending on how comfortable you are with risks and benefits. If you do get it worked on, please share your progress.

Thank you!
To clarify, my main concern is the wrinkled skin below the scar, do you think that laser could help with that as well?

Lasers are made to increase collagen, which can even out skin texture, so yeah, probably would help. But keep realistic expectations.
