Looking for some advice on how to best treat this scarring. Derm recommended micro-needling but Im wondering if I should opt for a more aggressive treatment (lasers / subcision) instead and not waste any time/money with micro needling. Has anyone had similar scars to mine and found success in treating them?
It looks like you're still breaking out a bit to me. Most important is to get that under control so you're not creating new scarring.
Then, you can try microneedling, but you're right, the results are usually less impressive than other treatments. You can learn more on the scar treatment pages.
These look like mild rolling scars. Rolling scars are definitely tethered. If you want the best result you'll need subcision. There's also atrophy of the dermis. RF microneedling and fillers work for that. But first, it's important to find a professional in the field who can help you.
