Unfortunatley not (yet?), I am just on my third week of it, and have yet to see much change to be honest. Some people early on in this thread said they found it a very gradual improvement though.

I got really mild acne and quite a lot of closed comedones. Anyone else with my kind of skin (a bit oily in the t-zone) tried the vitamin-A topical from [Removed] ? I just hope I won't have to deal with a huge breakout in the beginning =/

I've been reading posts and getting ideas from this message board for the last month or so but never took the time to actually join and participate. About two weeks ago i fell across this topic about Topical Vitamin A and just had to try it, so i did. Its been about a week and a half of use. I apply it at night before bed and in the morning as a moisturizer. I had very mild acne so i thought this would clear up fast. I still havent noticed a reduction in sebum (probaly cuz i always have the Vitamin A on my face and it iself is very oily), not only that but I am experiencing the biggest break out i have had in about 2 years. I hope this is a sign that it is working cuz its pretty bad. I am coping with it but my self esteem and patience is dropping rapidly, i start school in a couple of weeks and i dont wanna go looking like this. Ill keep yall updating on how im progressing over the next few weeks.

Sandman8324, I applied the Vitamin A both night (6-7 drops) and day (1 to 1.5 drops) like you and I started to break out. I stopped using it entirely and went back to Proactiv and the breakouts subsided. Recently I used it just in the evening and it seems to be doing better.

I've only been using it at night as well (about 12 drops). It didn't give me any breakouts. I'm on week 5 and my oil is completely gone biggrin.gif

so does this treatment help aid in the reduction of scars?

and will i be able to use tca cross while on this stuff?

this stuff is basically like "liquid accutane" right? you cannot do any kind of scar treatments while you take accutane.

Most of the time, I just apply it at night. I dont really have time to apply it in the morning for 20 mins or so. I wonder if this would slow my progress?

Personally I put a drop under my tongue and put a dime-sized portion all over my face. Doing this and spot treating with Neosporin has definately given me an improvement.

I think all the advice is NOT to take it internally, it's far too high a dose and could be dangerous.

Itselectric, you might not have visable side effects yet, that doesnt meen its not going to cause problems internally. The dosage you're taking of vit A is far far higher than the RDA. I strongly hope you re-consider! Just a friendly word of warning, dont take offense!

Allright guys...I am finally seeing some results. After the initial breakouts I discontinued use for about 3 days and went back to washing and applying bp during the day and at night to clear up the existing breakouts. See I think the thing is that the vitamin A is there to stop the sebum production which will in turn eliminate breakouts but i dont think that it is exactly the best treatment for existing blemishes. bp would be the best thing i think to take care of these early breakouts and once they subside then start back on it. I just started bck on it today and my face is looking much clearer, not a big diference in oil production though. It only my third week so i will keeps my fingers crossed.

Ok guys first application was last night and ive done a few drops this morning and washed them off after 20 mins. It does have a slightly weird smell but i dont find it concerning. Oil seemed to be less when i woke this morning and the special oil in the product obviuosly helps cool down redness.

Im confident this is the stuff to cure our acne, all we need is time for it to work. Even if it doesnt stop spots its very likely that after some usage it will cure oiliness, so dont complain, its still a miracle product!! Good luck to all those using it!
