I am also adding a 20% Topical Calcium Pantothenate on my Topical Retinyl Palmitate thrice daily. There is also a small study about the Sebum reduction ability of Topical

Vitamin B6 or Pyridoxine.

this cyst on my nose is ridiculous. its about the size of a freaking grape. my mother told me to go to a derm today...i will not go. hell, the way i see it I AM A DERMATOLOGIST. ive been dealin with this crap for 15 years and doing intesive research on this subject. i probably have more knowledge about acne than these quacks who had clear skin their whole lives or maybe just had it in their teens and grew out of it.

the only thing i will go to a derm for is for them to give me accutane and thats it.

but my skin is doing better so it was kinda messed up she told me to go to a derm. i know that the internal vitamin a is probably whats clearing me up..to bad i gotta stop taking it.

hopefully the topical vitamin a can hold things at bay when i stop taking vitamin a internally.

i am on 5 weeks on the topical Retinyl Palmitate and i can say that there is no significant reduction in oil but i am 200% sure that my skin texture and smoothness is indeed very very good. my problem is only the red marks and scars. FYI, i am not using the Retinyl Palmitate from V.C. Labs, my retinyl palmitate is coming directly from a chemical supplier.

okay, this is week 6 and a half. and i know ive been telling people to hang in there and keep going, but the toll that this is taking on me is too much to bare.

i have become a hermit. i am extremely anti-social now. on my days off i dont do anything. i dont even call or instant message anyone. this has probably caused me to lose friends and miss out on opprotunites with the opposite sex. all my friends are always gung ho about going out and here i am the guy always coming up with excuses on with how i cant go out. i know going out may seem small to you guys but for me its important for my well being.

and my skin is still irritated and broken out. i hate to be a quitter but with all the social gatherings about to come up with thanksgiving, christmas, etc. i can no longer experiment with things that MAY work.

im afraid i have to go back to my bread and butter. which was bp and b5. it wasnt 100% but it was pretty damn close. thats if i took the 10 grams a day.

its a very hard thing to keep up. taking twenty grams of that stuff a day is very incoveinent i did it for almost a year and a half and most times i couldnt keep up with getting the 10 grams a day. you have to be disciplined!

i think the main reason b5 stops working for so many people is because they drop to a maintance dose. screw the maintance dose! 3 or 4 g's of b5 isnt going to do anything.

i know 10 grams a day or more is the only thing that will keep me clear because the maintanance dose didnt work as the acne always came back.

another thing i loved about b5 was freedom to eat whatever the hell i wanted. because b5 metabolized the fat and cleaned up the mess, i was able to eat what i want... im sorry, but to hell with eating grass and raw veggies! screw that shit.

i may try this vc labs thing again. i dont know when though. i think 6 weeks wasnt a long enough time to determine whether or not it worked. so i cant say for sure whether or not it does or doesnt work.

when b5 clears me up(and i know it will, as long as i take 10g's and up) i may start using vc labs again. but the main thing is to get CLEAR first. i cant live this hermit life in front of my computer anymore.

im currently taking pictures of myself and in a few months(hopefully weeks) im going to show you guys how effective b5 and bp are. i call this the "b method" lol. i feel the b method works becuase b5 limits the sebum and bp kills the bacteria that may feed on whatever little sebum is left over. so its like a double whammy for acne and that son of a bitch doesnt stand a chance!! evil.gifevil.gif

but for now im done with all this vitamin a stuff.

yeah unfortunately vitamin a is still breaking me out...i figure that eventually i wouldve gotten over this hump, but like i said with so many things coming up, i ran out of time to experiment and i needed to go with a sure thing. i will try this again and i have no regrets in taking it, because i sincerly think it will work but it just takes alot of time.

i wish the rest of you good luck with this product.

Only accutane or oral isotretinoin is able to shrink the oil glands. There is NO existing topical product that can shrink oil glands except lasers that does controlled damage to oil glands to prevent overproduction of oil.

I don't know if this would work with you but ever since i combined Topical Vitamin B5 with Topical Retinyl Palmitate i have been able to drop off the benzoyl peroxide and niacinamide to control the breakout.

I don't know it this is only a coincidence but i think Topical Vitamin B5 is also helping to control the breakout. I never had a breakout for maybe about 5 days even without the use of benzoyl peroxide.

Perhaps you might want to try using Topical Vitamin B twice daily just like my regime. I would report in a week or two if this combination is really effective.

Ethanol, you mentioned you are getting your topical vitamin A direct from a chemical supplier...could you give us details ie who, how much, what form does it come in etc. do you mix it with something?

thanks

Just get 12 pieces of 500mg Pantothenic Acid tablets and dissolve it in 30ml or 1 ounce of water and apply the mixture to your face at least 3 times and ideally 5 times a day. Be sure to remove first facial oil before applying the topical B5. This was the formula used by Dr. Lit-Hung-Leung on the B5 study.

To combat inflamation just buy Metazene which is just Topical Niacinamide or Topical Vitamin B3. The effecacy of topical niacinamide is the same as with 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide gel. Topical niacinamide never dries the skin but it increases the ceramides of the skin causing the skin to retain more moisture.

I have been having great results with Tretonin at night, and 50 mg of minocycline twice a day. By great results, I have 3 small pimples on my face, but these are pimples that are really small and dont come to a head. Thats about it. And those are practically gone now. I have been so clear like this for about 3 days now. AND IM LOVING IT!

PS It will be 3 weeks I am on this regimen this coming wednesday.

I have some left over Panothenic Acid tablets so i'd be interested in trying this, just a couple of questions- whats this talk of inflamation, should i expect a break out from this method? What excatly are the benefits, reduction in subum perhaps?

I've seen mixed results so far.. where I use it for oily skin, it hasn't helped much.

Where I have outbreaks, it has finally calmed down..but I've got very dry skin instead. I don't understand why it didn't help me with sebum production.. BTW I've used it for roughly three months.

The topical pantothenic acid is supposed to reduce sebum production in the same way that megadoses of oral pantothenic acid does. In the original study of Dr. Lit-Hung-Leung on pantothenic acid, it actually involved 10 grams of oral B5 and 20% topical B5 cream applied 5 to 6 times daily.

Topical pantothenic acid hydrates the skin and also promotes healing. Some products use the provitamin B5 or Dexpanthenol because it is absorbed more easily in the skin. Topical Calcium Pantothenate or the common Pantothenic Acid in stores would also to the same, promoting skin healing.

Topical pantothenic acid does not cause breakout. Topical Niacinamide reduces the redness or inflamation associated with acne. When you apply topical niacinamide twice daily, the redness or inflamation will be reduced to the point that there would only be whiteheads instead of red pustules.
