wow, week 5 already ...time flies fast!
okay, a few days ago i was frustrated cause of all the cyst developing on my face.
i shouldve known better than to stop using my beloved panoxyl 10% bp wash....its drying as hell but it gets the job done.....
i stopped using it, because i didnt want anyting to interfere with the vitamin a treatment.
but the vc labs was breaking out so bad, i had to go back to my bread and butter(panoxyl)
now those breakouts are clearing up.
the oil is still here but my skin hasnt really been all that oily since accutane...im really using vc labs as a way for me to stop taking bp which isnt 100% effective and makes my skin look lifeless and dry.
my scars seem to be improving somewhat as well too.
Thanks Mr. Wally
After taking Accutane, not only did the oilness and pimples come back but I had real dry skin too. The lime cure on that site was a friggin godsend. I put it on right after I got out the shower in the morn and it hurt like hell, but I stopped peeling all day. I would've ate glass to stop that.
Then I ordered the A+ skin solution, and used it at night for the about 3 months now. The oiliness didn't stop all of a sudden but decreased slowly. The first month was sort of rough, but now that it's over, I can't wait return this semester and show off. Also, I think the vitamin A has stopped the peeling. I could quit the lime cure but think it's good for my skin too.
I've been using Vit A for almost 2 months now.. My skin got better (not so dry and oily at the same time) and got a more natural color.
Last weekend I got an outbreak...not cysts but big red marks on few places on my face. What is that? They're not hard and there isn't really anything inside..
Anyway, I keep using it every night to control oil.
I have now used this topical Vitamin A for at least 2 months now. I must say that it does reduce the oil amount, but not to the degree I was hoping for. Just one hour after I applied this I am allready oily at the areas I applied it to. And it certainly doesn't help in reducing blackheads at my nose, they are all over.
Also im getting same side effects as Accutane. Not to the same degree, but its certainly there. Headache, joint pains, dry eyes, dry skin. So I guess I am living toxified constantly at least to some degree.
I have no other choice than using this or accutane. My derm took me of accutane due to all my side effects, so now I use this which isn't much better but at least it helps me with avoiding new scars to form.
any updates from anyone?
where is everyone else that was using this?
me, well its approaching week 5, and im still breaking out.
but i think the oil has decreased somewhat. the breakouts i get are no where near as bad as that initial breakout i got (which i am still recovering from!)
these bumps take a long time to go away as well...i swear ive been busting the same bumps(i cant help it, theyre whiteheads which are very obvious when you go out) for weeks!
not even bp is clearing this stuff up...its like this stuff is invincible! i will continue to remain optimisitic and continue to use this, i mean its gotta get better.
its real funny cause i took some before and after pics and my freaking before pics look better! my skin looked way better when i first stated then i do now!!! i look back at the old pics and go "this is what i was so upset about?" now im much worse!!
im sad to say but there has been no. improvements so far...none.

well good luck to you, I wish it was a faster process. i just got my topical today in the mail, and Im scared to try it. My face isnt that bad at all right now cause I was on accutane not too long ago so its not as bad as it could be after the tane is all out of my system, Which, is why I thought trying the topical now, before my skin is bad again, might be a good idea, and I might have less of a initial breakout. I hope that is the case, even if I do break out, I hope that in the end, it will be worth it and we'll really end up with clear skin like it says on the website. Has anyone actually talked to the guy that makes this and asked for any before and after pics, or some sort of proof? What if its a bunch of crap? I just dont know, but I did buy it. BTW- it smells bad, I put on drop on the back of my hand earlier just to see what it was like, and my mother in law was like "whats that smell, it smells strong like licorice" and that was just from one drop! I cant imagine what my bf is going to say tonight when I have 10+ drops on my face!!!!!!!!!......I'll will definately start posting my progress ok? You continue too please!!

Well I'm on this so I might as well offer some input.
I've been doing this for roughly... 2 1/2 months. I had a pretty bad breakout to begin with but it cleared already. Now I typically get very small bumps and white heads, but the marks I get last for ages in comparison to before. I have a few red bumps on the side of my right cheek. They're still active marks, I can feel that everytime I touch them. They never get any bigger, or any smaller, and these ones were part of my initial breakout. Rest assured anyone that wants to try this, despite having these marks, my face is several times better than before I started. Also on the noteworthy side, the amount of oil seems to be decreasing. I'm using the word "seems" because if it has decreased, it has only been a trace amount. Still progress is progress.
However what I like most about this is how soft and smooth is has made my face. I used to get little bumps all over my cheeks whenever I shaved (from irritation of course), but after starting this, those bumps just don't appear anymore. Also, I have no need for moisturizers anymore as this seems to keep my face well hydrated.
It may be worth noting that I am doing Botchla's Regimen, however I started this well over a year ago, so I think all the progress I'm seeing now is a very accurate representation of what the topical Vitamin A can do.
I manage to stop the breakout by using Panoxyl 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide
My regime is as follows
AM
Nicotinamide Solution 20% in Ethanol - leave it on the skin for 5 minutes
Copper Peptides - leave it on the skin for 15 minutes and then wash it
Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% - leave it on the skin for 15 minutes and then wash it
PM
Ascorbic Acid Solution 17% - leave it on the skin for 20 min. then wash it off
Pantothenic Acid Solution 20% - leave it on the skin for 20 min. then wash it off
Retinyl Palmitate - leave it on the skin overnight
Well I've been using this for over 5 weeks, haven't noticed any change to be honest.
I was on retin-a (isotrex gel) for about 2 years about 6 years ago and never got any benefits from that so I doubt this is gonna work for me.
I was gonna just use what I have and not re-order but Im disturbed that someone is finding their red marks healing more slowly with this, red marks are my main problem now, so I may stop this sooner, are other people finding this too?
I think it's fair to say that this is not the miracle the website would have you believe.
Anyone disagree with the above statement or is it pretty conclusive now?

Guys, VITAMINCURE.COM wrote me some info on the topical a. Here it is:
"Here's some background:
My boss had his Ph.D in chemistry and worked in the pharmaceuticals for ten years. Currently, he owns a semiconductor equipment supply company. When his nephew got a bad case of acne three years ago, instead of going on Accutane, he synthesized several Vitamin A analogs and tested them mixed with various oils vehicles. Together they found retinyl palmitate with olive and sunflower oil worked best to stop the oil. Clove oil was later added as disinfectant and to discourage ingestion. A business major, his nephew was keen on marketing the product so he recruited six fellow students at the University of Texas willing to test (plus they had free health insurance and they didn't need to pay for blood tests).
All had cystic acne and either wanted to or would have gone on Accutane as no other choice. Two had been on Accutane already and were helpful to encourage the others through the purging period of the first month. The acne purging can be alarming for some at first, but this is evidence it's working to extricate the scars, and by the time one finishes the first bottle, purging will have subsides and smoother skin evident. Only one dropped out by the end.
Side effects were our greatest concerns and the worst reaction is dry lips. After the first 12 weeks, the scars were generally purged but their may be a few acute periods after that depending on severity. Within six months, even the worst case was substantially improved, and by year's most looked as if they'd never had a pimple. Four still use it for maintenance, not everyday. The oil should diminish at first application, but glands will take time to shrink. However, as some oil is always needed to lubricate the skin, and eventually the face will become overly dry with constant use, so after one gets clear, occasional application is all that's needed to keep sebum in check."
Well I've been using this for over 5 weeks, haven't noticed any change to be honest.

I agree, this is very a very slow and at times laborious effort. I'm pretty frustrated with my results, as I'm seeing very little, if any, oil reduction. I'm tempted to not purchase a third bottle, but at the same time, I want to keep going through the 6th month point to see if it will pull through in the end. Atleast it's keeping my skin soft and smooth, that's one incentive to keep using it.
Well I can't be bothered with this anymore, I've cut this and the hibiscrub and Im working on healing myself from the inside. My skin is looking good anyways and Im trying not to piss it off with using anything more than I have to, I started this vit a to help with oil and I think if after 5 weeks it has done absolutely nothing for this then it's time to pack it in (especialy since retin a never worked for me and that was a stronger version of this).
