I guess it depends on how you use it. I dont apply it to my entire face just certain areas. Its funny because I also have sensitive skin too. What I am finding is that my skin reacts better to The SA as opposed to the BP. I say all of this to say that the moisturizer helps with my problem areas a bit, thats why I use it.

Stampy, What do you use for your eczema? Also whats your whole regimen? Is it hard to find products that work for ya?

Lady Bug:

I'm lucky I only get the occasional eczema breakout on my face, but I've got a medicated cream for that. It's not too difficult to find products, it's all pretty much touch and go. Here's my regimen:

1) cleanse face with Spectro Gel for sensitive, problem proned skin

2) wipe dry and apply Ginseng Skin Toner by Caryl Baker Visage (excellent stuff, can be ordered offline at http://www.carylbakervisage.com/ I highly reccomend her products! )

3) wait 10 min and apply BP gel

4) wait 5-10 apply Dove sensitive skin day lotion with SPF 15

well ive been on this regimin for about 6 days and it seems to be going pretty well

but my question is when is the initial breakout period supposed to end?

in the 6 days ive used this regimin (sa in the morning shower, sa and bp at night from a sink) my lower face is pretty clear and the only new acne taht has formed have been maybe a few tiny white bumps that appear that go away very quickly and have no pain....unless you're studying my face closely in a mirror you wouldnt be able to see it, its weird....kinda like miniature whiteheads....is this the initial breakout of stuff under my skin that would of been whitehads, but are just smaller because im treating my face with this regimin? well anyways, my lower face is pretty clear. my forehead just has alot of small tiny flesh colored bumps that eventually turn white that were there before this regimin but maybe just a little more.....is this the inital breakout?

anyways, what im trying to get at is i havent really had much new acne since i started this regimin so im wondering why cause i thought i was supposed to get a bad inital breakout...only thing ive gotten is small bumps....can my breakout still be coming?

also, for some reason my upper neck, bottom of chin, lower ears have started to itch a little after starting this regimin even though i havent put any of the stuff on those parts of my body......what could be causing this?

final question: can you use this regimin on your chest/back? i dont really have much acne there but there are some small bumps...

anyways thanks

hey,I saw that you were using Botchla's regimen for awhile. I was on dan's regimen, which seemed to work very well for awhile but I think it sort of lost its effectiveness after 6 months of use...my acne isnt that bad, I'd say mostly comedonal--like from far I look fine, but up close or in bad light I look real broken out. Anyway, I have a question for you, I'm just starting botchla's and I wanted to know how long your intiial breakout lasted? I think mine is coming on with a vengeance! The large number of little flesh-colored bumps around my mouth seem to be alot more noticeable, so I can only hope (pray) that they are just being "flushed out." And also, did Botchla's work out for you in the end? Please let me know.

Best,

I shall give this regimen a shot. I have a lot of other regimens ahead of this one so I just popped it in the line. If none others work, I shall give this one a try. Thank you for the product reccomendations.

I've been on the regimen for a little under a month, and I have seen amazing results, I'm basically just down to some red marks now, which I hope will heal soon. I use the BP+SA wash in the morning and night, since my skin takes these products well. I would highly recommend this regimen to anyone who has not tried it. But, the key in my opinion is to be consistent and do not give up if you do not see instant results. I wanted instant results, but I had to wait, and its a good thing I waited. However, I doubt it will work for everybody, but it worked for me and it seems to work for a lot of people.

Great thanks to Botchla, you the man!

hmm ive been on this regimin for about a week now things seem to be going okay but lately ive seen some red spots on my chest.....there was a little acne there (very small amount, a few bumps) before i went on this regminin, but lately they're been a few more red bumps and they are kinda itchy.....is this regminin causing me to breakout on my chest? i havent used any of the stuff on my chest, but it still seems as though it increased when i started this regminin....thanks in advance

Hey name-

Don't worry, anything you apply to the skin on your face will have zero effect on the skin anywhere else on your body

I hate to break it to you, but if you are a allergic to something that you put on your face, it will affect the whole body. It gets into your system through your skin. I've had this happen to me. For example, a few months ago I put this natural cream stuff on my feet and it made my whole body itchy, even my face. My mother was an allergy nurse and made me aware of this.

I'm not saying for sure that it was an allergic reaction on your chest, but they could be hives, especially if you said they were itchy.

Anybody tried this regimen on their back or chest? I'm curious how it has worked if anyone tried.

Well, I found this topic through a Google Search. After reading all of these positive replies, and seeing how long the topic has lasted, I think this might be my answer. I just went to Walgreen's and bought the Blackhead Clearing Scrub and Continuous Control Cleanser, and I'll be starting the regimen tonight.

If this works, you will be my hero.

Well, I just applied the products to my face, here's my thoughts:

1. The Blackhead Scrub felt awesome. It cleaned out my pores and left my skin feeling smoother than a newborn's ass. Loving it.

2. The Continuous Control Cleanser felt very good while I was applying it, but it did make my eyes water a bit from being near the cream. When I dried my face off, everything felt rather cool, like my head was in the refridgerator. The towel felt cold as I dried my face off. Yet my face was warm to the touch, oddly enough.

Anyway, this stuff FEELS like a winner, but I guess we'll see the answer within a few weeks. I just hope I don't get the dreaded initial breakout. There's a certain female who I really don't want to see my face in a Saving Private Ryan-like state, if you know what I mean.

I have been using this method for around 1 month know, & it does seem to work. I was wondering if taking vitamins would help some? I am planning on getting the GNC Men's Mega Men. I will put a link to them to see if anyone can help me out here.

[Edited link out]

Day One

Well, here is my current status after using the combined products at night, with only the Scrub in the morning.

My face has broken out in small, white, insignificant bumps, just as expected. I'm not worried about it, no one could tell, I'm sure. Anyway, I love this stuff. I can feel it working. Hopefully I'll begin to see some results within a few days, after the initial breakout fades.

I just found this site the other day and was thinking about going on Dan's regimen till i found this topic. I think this regimen will work better for me because i have more blackheads than inflammed acne, and it seems that Dan's regimen is better for inflammed acne. So tomorrow i'm starting this. Wish me luck!

Day Two

The small pimples are almost completely gone! While I still have a few remaining pimples and some inflammation, I have definitely seen great improvement. I think this is my answer, finally!

Where are the people from the first couple of post? I know this thread is almost a year old and was just wondering if the people who first posted on this topic are still around or have left because they are totally acne free. It would be great if i could get some testimonials from them.

I was wondering the same thing myself, when was the last time Botchla posted?

Anyway, here' my stats:

Day Three

My face keeps getting better, though I still have small pimples rising. I'm not worried though, it isn't too bad. I think it's pulling all of the forming pimples to the surface, which would explain why they are so small.

ive now been on this regimin for three weeks

hopefully the initial breakout period is over (isnt it three weeks?)

it seems to be working well and i havent noticed anything new in the last couple days...maybe its finally clearing up completely....prolly like 2 whiteheads right now is all i have...one on each side of my head

at week two a bunch of whiteheads appeared on my chin...maybe it was the final stage of the initial breakout because i havent gotten anything new since.....ive started putting 5% bp cream on at night on active pimples

anyone know what should be done if you miss a day of the BP wash/SA wash at night? should i just start the next day again and forget about the missed night of BP/SA wash?

anyways, thanks blotchla for the regimin .. seems to be going good

I got clear in 5 days. I scrubbed for about 45 seconds to a minute in every problem spot, which sometimes took me 30 minutes to just do my forehead, but afterall it worked and I suggest this to anyone with moderate acne.

Thank you Blotchla.

hi me again, i just wanted to know if there is a third piece to the puzzle, i mean i use these two products and nothing else? cause i still have little zits on my chin and forehead, what do i put on those? i wanted to leave some bp on there but it just burns my skin. i guess what i'm trying to ask is what do i leave on my face all day to kill the zit since these two products are an apply and rinse type of thing.

please reply, thanks!

They work after you wash them off, I can vouch for this, I got clear in less than a week.
