It sounds like it would be kind to the skin while still doing the job.

I buy from mankind on a regular basis...so if they sell it ,it must be good,or else they wouldnt/

Plus its the only acne bar they sell I think .....besides the WU cleanser.

Do you think it would have a bad reaction with the BP, and create more irritation? Does it come completely off, or leave kind of a film? I'd be apprehensive if it didn't come all the way off.

I couldnt be sure.....usually bars like that rinse off well.

The thing is if u are happy with the cleanser you are using then stick to it.

Personally the best Cleanser I've used is Zirh Clean and I've tried so many in the last 15 years n that is the best by far.

Its so effective that you dont even need a moisturiser.

You see, I use the Cetaphil Bar, and I really like it a lot. It lathers great and cleanses very well. The only thing is that it dries me out like a mofo. I don't know if that is contributing to Dan's regimen working about 90-95%, and not 100%? I moisturize right afterwards and it's not dry for too long, so I don't know. I really like it though, if it weren't so drying I'd love it. Do you know if there's anywhere to get that bar you're talking about (not the zirh stuff) in the US?

Im not sure about that bar......I guess just type the name into a search engine n see what u get .Im sure its out there somewhere.Mankind post to the US I think but its expensive with the currency exchange :S.

Whats drying you out is the BP....you see when you applied that and then when u go to wash next time, after washing the effects of having the BP on are seen and the face dries out like a mofo.

If you want something thats very kind to the skin the Zirh Clean is excellent and can be got in the US

http://www.zirh.com/

Zirh Fix is also meant to be great at nuking spots.

Circle, is your skin really crappy where it just dries out with only water? That's how mine is/was, well before using bp, even when I wasn't using any topicals. Quite strange.

Well water only will keep the skin in balance but as I saw it didnt work as regards keeping acne away.

BP is very drying on the skin and especially after washing ,it really drys out then.

I was never a fan of BP for that reason and havent used it in over 10 years.

AcniDazil on the other hand did contain BP but didnt dry ur skin out!

It cooled it whilst killing everything in site.

This is a link for it ....but if I recall the box that I got it in was blue.....

jcp9- Very tired.. i'll write better tomorrow, and this will be quick. I think you're stressing too much about your skin.. I know that's how I was, and I stopped.. because who cares? It's skin. I'm sure yours would look just fine to me. I find it odd that your skin itches from the two C&C products. I don't think that's good. Maybe switch from your cetaphil bar to a dove bar. Dove is verrry mild on the skin. Also, Mary Kay has a toner that balances the ph of your skin.. the purifying toner (blue).. that helps with the dryness before applying moisturizer. I think you should try only using the bp at night, and during the day you could try Dalacin T solution.. it's clindamycin (sp?) which is antibacterial stuff (I THINK.. i'll get back to you on that one for sure.. my mom's a pharmacist). You know, i'm thinking that maybe the C&C products aren't for you... I don't think they should make you itch. How long have you been using them? I think you should try for a day using one.. then a day using the other.. to find out which one causes the itching. Do you use both of them twice a day? Maybe you should stop. I only use them both at night. I use neutrogena oil-free acne wash in the morning. Excuse me while I go pass out once again on the couch.. so tired. lol I'll write better tomorrow.

I've been on this regimen a while...almost 3 months, I think??? I'm on my 3rd set of products anyway. My skin looks better.  I'd say about 98% clear, with monthly breakouts of course - I'm a girl. O:) But even those are smaller than usual and clear up faster.

I also wanted to suggest a moisturizer: Archipelago...see the full name in my signature as I forget what it is right now. Anyway, it's not at all greasy and hasn't broken me out at all. (Be sure not to get their face cream...not goof for acne prone skin.) It's very light and works well to make my dry skin feel better and not look gross and shiny. And my make up goes over it well.

In fact, my skin is finally clear enough that I can see my scars ...until this morning I was in denial thinking they were just red marks...nope. My red marks are sinking into rolling scars and I AM NOT HAPPY about it one bit. But I am terrified of all the scar treatments I have read about...my skin is way too sensitive for what I have seen so far.

startzt:-

So your skin is always very sensitive and dry...even before u were on the CnC regimen?

How did your skin react to the products when first on it?

It wasnt overly dry was it....or somewhat better or similar to other cleansers?

Yes Botchla did before he started the combination of both and it was a success with him.

Its just a matter of reading through the posts that have already been posted.

Use the facewash you have been given,it wont do any harm.

also will this get rid of red marks?

Well your face should get red from using the 10% BP so therefore I would advise using a suitable moisturiser to combat the dryness and prevent any possible scaring in the long run.

Its very important for acne sufferers to use a moisturiser and something with vitamin E in it will prevent scaring.

Im not sure of the severity of the red marks u are talking about.

Are they raised marks, acne legions? or somewhat like scar marks?

Circle -

Yes, my skin has always been very sensitive. When I was younger it was much oilier (I had to have spelled that wrong...looks funny). But once I hit about 25 it started getting dry on my cheeks and normal, instead of oily, in my T zone. Oddly enough, my major breakouts were always on my cheeks and so is where my scars are starting to pop up.

I tried the Acne Cure just prior to using this regimen...so my skin was already getting pretty tough. This regimen is MUCH more mild than the Acne Cure or Dan's. (I tried Dan's for about a week and my face felt like it was going to fall off. I'm sure I did something wrong...maybe should have started slower?) The beauty with this regimen, for me, is that you wash everything off so you don't have any powerful chemicals on your skin for extended periods of time...and yet, it seems to be working great!

I wish you the best of luck. I know not everything works for everybody...but I sure hope this does the trick for you.

forgot to mention:

The only negative I have noticed with this regimen is that when I get the products in my hairline, I get MAJOR peeling. Looks like an awful case of dandruff! #-o So, steer clear of saturating your hair line...

ok this regimen has been great for me so i'm updating [again]

i'm a teenager, w/"golden" undertones... ie darker skin that is more prone to hyperpigmentation... and w/pretty much industrial strength skin. no irritation from from products, just nice clean feeling. i've had acne since age... 12. it got increasingly worse, been on about a dozen medicines (both over the counter and prescription). tried dan's regimen with about 80% succes... this has now cleared me 99% after 6 weeks

morning:

CC Blackhead Clearing Scrub

CC Continuous Control

Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera Gel for moisture--> [Edited link out]

night:

CC Blackhead Clearing Scrub

CC Continuous Control

Fruit of the Earth Vitamin E Cream for moisture---> [Edited link out]

i also use neutrogena on-the-spot just to spot treat. i'm hoping that the aloe and vitamin e helps my hyperpigmentation and skin tone, but even if it doesn't, my skin is now super soft

Does anybody know if both of these products are available in Canada? I'm pretty sure the continuous control (BP) one is but it's only 5% BP. Not sure about the Blackhead scrub though. And has anybody had success with this regimen using the 5% BP?

Here is an excellent clean and clear tip,and probably most acne products.

I notice the only tight and dry, flaky places occur on the cheeks.Well this makes since, because your face produces more oil in the t-zone area i.e. forehead, nose chin area's.So is what I have started doing is after mixing the scrub or BP on my fingers I start with the t-zone area forehead then nose followed by my chin, then after what ever is left on my fingers I use on my cheeks for no more than 10 seconds.

I have notice less tightness after use.And over use on the cheeks area may cause a breakout on your cheek area.I used to always start with the cheeks. But it's the t-zone that you want to focus most of the product on.good luck.I know there are more tips!Lets keep posting.thanks.I hope this helps someone.

Hi. Really looking forward to trying this regimen. I went to the shops today but I could only find the blackhead stuff. Is it worth just using this for now until I find the 10% BP, or should I wait until I get both? Plus I am really not looking forward to breaking out like most people describe. Would it be the blackhead stuff that does it, or the BP, or a mixture?

Thanks
