Well... I've been using this a little over a month and a half. It cleared me up completely in 3 weeks, than at the 5th week, I broke out like hell, all at places that my existing acne ceased to exist, and I got huge red cysts on my neck, where I usually never get them. It's slightly calming down now, still using this regimen religiously and we'll see how it goes.
When you guys said you had an initial breakout.. Was it like mine:
Im getting big red bumps that come up and slowly reduce in swelling.. Is that the stuff thats trying to come up.. but than BP zaps it ?? I dont know.. i havent shit like this since a year ago.. I guess you can call them cysts.. but they never come to a head.. but they seems to be reducing in swelling..
Yeah, I've still been getting those big red bumps you a talking about and I'm at the end of my third week of the regimen. But the only places I get them now is on my chin and jawline area. I'm hoping a few more weeks on the regimen will clear it up.
The only thing is that my face always feels tight and dry. Does anyone else experience this? I want to use a moisturizer, but I'm afraid it will break me out. Any suggestions???

Hey cjgallen, your regimen for the face is similar to mine for my chest/back. I wash with clearasil total control deep pore cream cleanser (2% SA) then immediately with oxy max (10% BP) Only been doing this for a couple days and haven't really seen results yet, no new pimples but my main problem was red marks and dots... I'll see how it goes.
Ok...it has officially been over 3 weeks for me and I can say that my cheeks, forehead, nose and chin are at 99% clear...a vast improvement. I feel like my pimples are completely under control at the moment. Something I have not felt in a long time.
I was reading some of these posts and noticed that people are getting cyst-like pimples on their neck or jawline...I got one of these a couple of days ago and it totally freaked me out...it didn't hurt at all, so I thought maybe a bug bit me...SOOO wierd..the swelling is reduced now and it never came to a head, never experienced anything like that before. I wonder why we are all having problems around the jawline.
But as for active pimples...I think I might have 2-3...that's it...the rest are all red marks around my jawline (maybe 5-6)
the only vitamin I'm taking is a prenatal vitamin.
I do the SA and BP at night...and just the SA in the morning.
update after 4 weeks:
2 active pimples. it's annoying only because they're on my forehead so it's hard to hide them
4-5 very very very small bumps on my cheek.. i don't know what it is but they've been there for a long time
blackheads haven't gone away but i think botchla said it would take until around week 12? so that doesn't bother me
and of course the red spots. i'm asian, and asian skin is more prone to hyperpigmentation.. and the hyperpigmentation also lasts longer so i think that's why they won't go away
for 2 weeks i just did the SA in the morning.. but pimples started coming so now i'm switching to both SA and BP in the morning and night
even if my skin doesn't improve from this point- i'll stick with it since i got the same results with 3 months of dan's regimen.. and this is much less hassle
Ok I just bought these two products. My skin is rather sensitive from using tazorac/minocycline the past few months. But I also have this acnicure gel that I love because it really helps immediatly with dry skin. I was wondering if it would interfere badly with the treatment? The ingredients are water, emu oil, aloe vera, MSM, jojoba oil, niacinamide, green tea extract, vitamin b5, tea tree oil, grapefruit seed extract, lecithin, xanthan gum, manuka oil, alpha lipoic acid, olive leaf extract, vitamin e, citric acid, vitamin a, and rosemary extract.
Ok so this is how you do it:
Morning
Wash for 45 secs to 1 min with Clean and clear continious control.
Wash off.
Pat dry.
Night
Wash with Clean and clear Blackhead clearing scrub for 45 secs - 1 mins.
Wash off and pat dry.
Apply Clean and clear continious control and wash for 45 secs to 1 min.
Wash off and pat dry.
BTW do you wet your face for the second wash? like you wet ur face for the blackhead control and wash off and pat dry, but then do you wet your face again or do you apply on a dry face with Clean and clear continious control ?
...
Can you add moisturizer? from the clean and clear products the "dual action control "oil-free" moisturizer"
Also on troublesum place can you apply nutrogena "acne on the spot" BP, not on full area but on the pimple/s itself?
-- If i could get these answered a.s.a.p i would appreciate it!
jdhooghe85,
Hello there! Are you using a moisturizer on your skin after you wash? These products are drying agents and your skin is rebelling by over producing oil to lubricate the area it thinks is being unduly dried out. Spray rose water on afterwards or use an oil free moisturizer so the skin thinks it is still hydrated. It is like when you go on a diet and your body thinks you are starving it so it will store every bit of fat you give it. Olive oil does not clog the pores as rose water does not so you are not in any danger of getting blackheads or zits from these two products. Your own oil production should adjust when you help the oil glands think the skin is plenty moist. Rose water is found in a health food store possibly in drug stores. Hope this helps. Linny
It goes like this:I now spread the blackhead clearing scrub on my middle finger, then spread the continous control on index finger, then mix them together on my fingers on both hands, then wash my face for 1 minute.I mix them together.and wash only one time.I find mixing them and washing once helps prevent tight and dry skin.
Rab after I wash the SA scrub off, I don't dry my face. I just apply the BP when it's still wet. I think that's what it says to do in the initial description as well.
you sure about that because if you read carefully he saids to pat your face dry after the first wash and use the second product. I think, i wish he would answer so i know if im doing it right ](*,)
lern how 2 reeed
wet my face with warm/slightly hot water. wash with the C&C blackhead clearing scrub (salicylic acid), massage around/into my face for about 45 seconds to a minute. wash it off. immediately apply the C&C continuous control (benzoyl peroxide) and GENTLY massage that into your face for about 30 seconds to 45 seconds, then wash it off. pat dry with a clean towel
