Pros:

I didn't had a problem with acne but i have old small spots i use elicina about 4 months and the resolts are extraordinary the spots are not visible anymore any small wringles are gone and my face is perfect without any makeup it's like i had a lift.

Cons:

You have to use a moisturizer after 20 minutes until it absorves because it dries the skin.

The perfect treatment i used estee lauder's advanced night repair day and night and resilience lift extreme day and night cream for years i'm 31 and i was using them from my 20 something and i haven't see any resolts and with elicina after 4 months i've seen wonders.I'm not going to use another product in my life.

Product used: Emu Oil

Pros:

Non-irritating, moisturizes well, smooths out fine lines, diminishes undereye circles, heals skin injuries and scars, makes your skin glow

Cons:

The price.

When I used this my acne basically disappeared completely. It also got rid of the purpleness under my eyes and healed a chicken pock scar that I've had since I was 8 (I'm 24).

Product used: MaMa (Lotion)

Pros:

Evens out your skintone, fades red/brown marks, prevents new acne, removes blackheads, and prevents congested pores.

Cons:

Kinda pricey, but a little goes a LONG way with this! I bought 3 sample tubes (for $6) and got a free one with my order-its been a month and I am not even through one tube yet!

I think the main reason why some people are getting different results with this is that they are using it either incorrectly, or not taloring their use of it to suite their skin type. For me I cannot use it more than every other day right now and that is plenty. Also you should only be applying a pea sized amount to your whole face-you can't layer it over just one part of your face otherwise you may cause peeling. I only apply a tiny amount each time I use this and my results have been fantastic! I think that within 3 weeks from now I will be comfortable not wearing makeup in public (so excited!). This stuff has improved the texture and tone of my skin drastically. My skin is glowing right now! I look fantastic! At this moment I have NO active pimples on my face and I am PMSing! This is the first time in the past year that I have felt confident and good about myself. Make sure to only add a tiny bit, use it as a lotion not a spot treatment, and don't use it more that 3 times per week.

Product used: MaMa (Lotion)

Pros:

It is currently more or less the only topical treatment that gets rid of acne scars, both pigmented and pitted scarring, and it does so very quicky.

Cons:

Irritates the skin like mad. Expect a massive amount of peeling and redness. If it interacts with red, inflammed pimples it can cause a breakout.

My pigmented scars faded in two weeks and one pitted scar I had was significantly reduced. Only use this every 5 days or so, or until the lotion from the last application has peeled off completely. Trust me on this. I would strongly suggest not using this if you have active acne. If you do, do NOT apply it to the pimples.

Pros:

I just started using mederma 2 1/2 days ago, so can't really say yet.

Cons:

ITCHY!! REDNESS ON CHEEKS!

Does anyone have the same situation happend to them using Mederma?? I'm using it on my cheeks for acne scars that were left from when I was in high school. I'm 24 now, so the scars are pretty old. Anyhow,I've noticed that my cheeks turn red and after awhile my cheeks begin to itch. I try not to rub but when I do it,the mederma lotion comes off like in flakes. IS THIS NORMAL?? Someone help me please I want to know if I should stick with the itchyness and redness or should stop using it. Also, I've noticed alot of people have commented on the odor, but mine doesn't have any odor. I'm wondering if the company of the product fix the odor problem or if my something is wrong with my mederma??

Product used: Emu Oil

Pros:

calms skin
reduces redness overnight
makes crows feet appear less noticeable

Cons:

none

Emu oil should be white and creamy with no odour. If yours has an odour, it is not of good quality. Spend the extra $ for the good stuff. Also, a little goes a long way. Only use a tiny bit at night. My face is never greasy when I go to bed because I massage only a small amount into my skin using my ring finger for my whole face, not just around my eyes. I had redness and peeling from doctor presc. acne medication. The stuff was too harsh for my sensitive skin. My face was raw and tight. I used emu oil for one night and my face was significantly better. Also, after only 2 nights, my active lesions are a lot less "hot". I'm hooked.

wtf? YES YES YES
I wrote a review on here previously (and I do not review anything ever) - about my sister and her cystic acne/scarring. She and I both had extremely bad acne in highschool. SUPER BAD. I am talking, embarrassing abnormally big pimples all over. She used this for abotu a month and a half on her scars (old and new acne scars). She and I both had huge holes from acne. Her scars disappeared! I was skeptical about trying it because everything breaks me otu and this is expensive. BUT !!!!!! I am so happy I am crying. I use this nightly (EVERY NIGHT, NO SKIPPING OUT) on a clean face, and sleep. And it has been three weeks. My scars are gone, gone, gone! I still have 3 or 4 on my right cheek (the deeper ones) , but they may take more time. But my whole face in even, no holes, no scars. The ones that remain are def almost gone!!! Another few weeks, I am sure they too will vanish. I know this is pricey guys but my review is sincere. As I said, I do not review much because nothing has worked before now. I made an account here JUST FOR Mederma.

Use only high quality emu oil

I get mine on [Removed], it is high quality, best price and free shipping. Avoid cheap emu oil, it is greasy and does not penetrate skin, it is not effective.

Copper peptide from ebay by ActiveFormulas 2mL ruin my dented acne scars!
I bought it from ebay for £8 and diluted it in 120mL of pure hyaluronic acid (from Amazon £19 if I am not mistaken) so that makes it 0.1% Copper peptide. I used it for the first time on my face during microneedling procedure (my second time treatment) to lubricate my skin. I noticed the difference from my first treatment (using Pure hyaluronic acid as lubricant). I found that using 0.1% copper-peptide-HA makes my acne scars more visible (the dented scars!) My first microneedling treatment gave alot of improvement at least my scars were not noticeable in a bright light room but now after copper peptide application, my dented scars are more visible. So, after a week and my scars still visible, I throw my copper-peptide-HA mixture in a toilet bowl (Such a waste! especially the 120mL HA). All those ads saying it improves scars are fake! I am not sure if it takes some downtime or whatsoever, but I know that copper at 0.1% destroy collagen and induce the collagen remodelling. So maybe my scars now undergo collagen breakdown? then later on proceed to collagen induction phase? But, now I need to avoid that risky process, I rather stick to my first microneedling prcedure: Numb cream > Clean it> Hyaluronic acid gel> microneedling 2.0-2.5mm> leave overnight > T3 face wash (body shop)> human EGF serum> Vitamin C cream (body shop). And of course SPF30 sunscreen. Btw, I am using an automated microneedling not the roller one. It was £56 on Amazon uk. It at least improved my dark scars after I mistreated my face with 50% TCA! now those purplish-dark scars are gone and getting a little bit fade red. But for me red is fine rather than dark purple. dont get me wrong, this review is nothing to do with the CP product by CLEAR SKINCARE. this review is for Copper peptide by ACTIVE FORMULAS on ebay.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
