Usefulness in reversing wrinkles and acne scarring is mostly theory, but based on its effectiveness with wound healing, results can take several months to appear
Pros:
Gentle
Natural
Excellent substitute for eye cream
Cons:
Worsened acne!
Expensive
Hard to find
Pros:
- Cheap
- Available in chemists, pharmacies..etc
Cons:
- Did not lighten scars
- Did nothing for stretch marks
- Oily
Pros:
heals burns, reduces marks left by acne, moisturizes dry skin, evens out skin tone, goes great under mineral makeup
Cons:
can be a bit oily and I dont fully trust it yet to not cause more acne
Pros:
light, not bad smelling, clear, works
Cons:
not as good results on acne scars v. regular scars... then again, the acne scars are older and I am not done usig mederma...
Pros:
None
Cons:
Didn't work
Pros:
I use Concha Nacar de Perlop. Lightens scars & actually helps them fill in
Cons:
If you leave it on any longer than you're supposed to, you will get a crazy amount of blackheads. Blackheads are more of a tragedy to me than to most people because mine turn into cysts
Pros:
lightened skin, helped with acne scarring (ice pick)
It does not smell bad and absorbs very quickly.
Cons:
stings a bit, skin flakes excessively at first
Pros:
Moisturizes without clogging pores. Reduces shine on forehead. Makes my skin feel smooth and soft. Makes my complexion rosy. Works really well under mineral makeup. Great for men and women as there's no overpowering aroma. Reasonably priced.
Cons:
none. maybe b/c it's an oil people think it will clog pores, it totally doesn't. i've tried a ton of other "face oils" that all have clogged my pores in the past...but this one doesn't
Pros:
I used concha nacar de perlop cream that I purchased at the drug store. It is a bleaching cream that is very inexpensive (about $6). Takes away acne pigmentation/scarring and helped with my acne.
Cons:
Have to leave it on the affected areas for 30 minutes to an hour. It's like a mask but doesn't dry so its feels kinda goopy.
Pros:
Backed by scientific evidence from independent studies proving its efficacy in wound-healing and cosmetic skin improvement, a natural anti-inflammatory, easily tolerated on the skin
