Cons:
scared off by all the bad comments on this thing.
It worked fantastically. No side effects. no acne worseing, no ichiness, no redness. i had over 40-50 small white and black heads on my forhead, not very noticable and very small but i put this on just a veeeeery small dab. about 1/4 the size of a pea. and spread that on my head after using Acne free products and then i put on aveno lotion then this product. the next day i woke up scared to see if it would end up like the people on this say. and it completly cleard it up. amazing. i dont know if i has something to do with my age. im 14. i dont know if it has to do with the combination of the poroxide. or what but. it worked.

Pros:
Much less irritating than Retin A (for me). Less redness. Much better results. Improvement of scars over time. No medicinal scent.
It comes in two formulations so you can use the lighter one when you have a busy social schedule.
Cons:
Daily exfoliation required. That's just how it works. Use an aspirin mask, lots and lots of water and cetaphil lotion as needed. Use textured pads and hot water to gently exfoliate (in one direction!) - downward so you aren't clogging hair follicles
My doctor said that it can take as long as 18 months to see optimal results. I've been using it for about a year and I did have a mild flair up at first that lasted about 6 weeks. Bottom line - I am so thankful for this product and my doctor for recommending it. At 40+ I can finally count on my skin. I used to break out in cysts at the most inopportune times. I've used Retin A since I was a teenager and my face was always red. I do experience some rosiness with Tazarac but it's nothing compared to how my skin reacted to Retin A. I've had three rounds of Accutane, but I still would get periodic cysts. Not any more. Steaming in a hot steam room once a week for 45 minutes while loading up on water also helps. I learned about the aspirin mask, tazorac and cetaphil on this site so I want to say thank you to this community. It also might pay to get an allergy test. I found I was allergic to formaldehyde which is a common albeit toxic preservative used in skin products. Good luck!

Broke worse than before...alot worse. Face is peeling like a mother. Extremely Dry.
I'm not really sure what to say, I was on Proactiv and that was working decently, but i wanted all my acne gone so i went to the derm and she prescribed Tazorac. She did not tell me it would get worse before it got better, but after reading the comments on this website I am relieved because I only had mild acne before, and now im getting moderate. Its really the worst my face has ever been. I'm gonna give this the benefit of the doubt and stick with it for 2 more weeks or so, but if my face only keeps gettign worse, I'll have to try something else. I don't recommend this if you can;t handle having the worst acne you'll ever have for a while.

Pros:
It WORKS; skin is smooth; shrinks pimples/inflammation very quickly
Cons:
horrible initial breakout, peely/red skin -- you must be very good about moisturizing
I've always had problem skin, but within the past year, it's broken out like CRAZY. Huge, painful cysts; breakouts on my cheeks (where I've never had them before). Ive been using the 0.1% gel now for about 4 months and my skin is 98324982744382 times better. It took the full 3 months (like the manufacturer says) for my skin to start showing any results. Before that, I definitely experienced the infamous initial breakout. It was bad, but I'm so, so, so glad I stuck it through. It's not an overnight wonder drug, but if you have the patience, the end result is absolutely worth it.

Pros:
Makes my skin smooth. Less zits.
Cons:
Expensive, the first 12 weeks are a bitc*. I mean real bad. You have to stick with it, I am glad I did.
This is an update, I think it had finally starting working. I no longer get zits-my skin is near perfect and clear. It was a rough 12 weeks though. It made my skin look worse then it ever has when I started using it, but now it has never looked better. I also use finacea cream and take Bactrim antibiotics. I really think though that the combo of the taz at night, and finacea during the day is what did it. I highly recommend doing this combo. I bought finacea online for 25 bucks a tube. My doctor recommended it but I could not afford it as it is $$$-my doctor also gives me a box of taz samples at a time since the taz is very $$$ and I can't afford that either.
AM:
Washing face with cetaphil.
Use Neutrogena sensitive skin facial lotion.
Appy finacea Cream.
PM: Wash face

Pros:
So far clearing acne!!

Peels a good bit at first but will eventually go away.
I've been on Tazorac before and it does work! My skin looked the absolutely best when on this medication but I got off and it eventually turned worse due to several different factors, stress, hormones, etc.. but I am now back on Tazorac. I have been on it two weeks and have already seen a difference. I put it on every other day because i don't want a bad bad intial reaction again. So far its just been peeling and my skin has been getting clearer and smoother!! I'll update again in a few weeks!!

Pros:
1st week pores were minimized, 2nd week breaks out dont last but 2 days and pimpes flake off
Cons:
itching really bad, dry lips and skin more pimples 3rd week skin feels like its burning off and sore red more pimples deeper in the skin along the jawline im really dissapointed proactiv didnt have this bad of side affects.will update later
i used differin gel in the past and now im trying taz 0.1 i really want this to work so im going to suffer for 3 months. im hopefull but all the comment say that one u get use to the product side effects and bring all the underlying acne youll see results so ill just cross my fingers,

Pros:
It does dry up my breakouts and I can see a slight difference.
Cons:
As everyone has said it makes your skin peel alot. I wear makeup and by the end of the day, I look as though my face is coming off. The initial breakout was horrible.
I have been on this product for 8 weeks and I have not quite yet seen any improvement. I will stick with it and see what happens. If this does not work, I have no idea what I will do.

havnt seen any yet but this is my 4th application of the product to my face.
Cons:
obviously the dryness, peeling, increase too pimples and redness.
but this will be worth it if it does help in the end...
i have suffered with acne since i was 11. over the years, ive developed underlying acne so even though my skin looks clear on the outside, in certain lights you can tell that i have many small bumps that are just beneth the surface of my skin. i went to see a derm and he told me that he wouldnt reccommend taking them out by needle extracions since there would be a possiblity of scarring so he prescriped the Taz. im just hoping that it peels off the layers of my skin so that it can get to the real problem that is under my skin. i have noticed though that my skin has gotten worse but i am trying my best too stick with it because i figured i can survive a few months of horrible skin if it will get rid of my bumpy face in the long run. i just wouldnt reccommend wearing make up while on it which really sucks for me since i hate leaving the house without it on. my derm told me that it was ok for me too use makeup while on the taz as long as it is non-comodegenic. Pros:
so far not too many, but from all of the other comments it seems like i should stick with it.
Cons:
MAJOR initial breakout. my acne is twice as bad as before i started using it. I'm almost on the 4th week.
My skin has become a lot worse, and i'm more embarrassed than normal to go out. I haven't had as much of a problem with dryness as everyone else, i've only been slightly dry. But i'm really hoping this miserable initial breakout will end soon!
Pros:
cleared up acne the next freaking day.
