Cons:
First few weeks of use will be followed by break outs. Peeling and redness. Gets rid of spots, reduce pores and wrinkles.
THIS PRODUCT WORKS!!!! Bottom line. You have to be patient and use it sparingly once your skin starts to get irritated. You must use moisturizer before you put it on. I love this product and turned my sister and my friends on to it too. They love it. I have tried other prescribed acne medications but I this is the one I can not live without.

Pros:
This is an absolutly wonderful acne medication. Cleared me up big time, and is the only thing that worked

takes at least 12 weeks to see results
This is a great drug. I used this with klaron and minocycline and is recomeded that u use taz with a anti bacterial. I'll just give a wuick sum up of what i did. I went to the derm with alot of acne, i was alergic to bp and had a rough time finding an acne med. He perscribed me taz and klaron. The first month i aw improvment and i had a derm apointment again. He perscribed me mino cause he said i was going to have a lot of breakout the next 3 weeks and he was right. taz dystors your face before it get better so plz dont write a review till the 12 weeks is up. at week 8 i had one last breakout then i was clear and had a lot of red marks. Now I dont have much acne and a little red marks but its al good i look really clear. It will probly be another month till my face will be where i want it but i am really happy about my current status.

I have rosacea and have had acne since my teenage years. This is the only product to help my acne. I use every other night when my skin is very dry. A few hints I have discovered over the years are:
DO NOT use this product with other products containing alcohol or drying astringents. Makes redness worse and irritations awful. I use Avalon Organics toner (no alcohol, ph balanced) in the morning to restore ph to my skin. Any other toner can work, but it has to have no alcohol or witch hazel. Use a mild NO alpha hydroxy acid or beta hydroxy lotion when needed. do not pick your skin. Had a friend get a nasty staph infection on their face from picking. Caused a lot of damage to their skin. NO PICKING. Make sure your skin is completely dry before applying the tazorac. I sometimes use a hairdryer on cool to make certain it's dry. The moisture + the tazorac will aggravate the skin worse. Pros:
Price. With my insurance and the rebate card from Tazorac, I did not have to pay 1 cent. I have not had any dryness, flakiness, or peeling.
Cons:
Very bad, painful breakouts. Every morning I wake up there are new zits.Big red painful zits. I'm breaking out in places i've never had issues with and the places i've always had issues with are just worse!!!!!!
I've tried everything.I'm fed up. I'm 29 yrs old and I've had acne since I was 11.I'm taking 150 mg of Adoxa, a benezole peroxide in the am on my face and .1% tazorac cream at night. My acne has gotten worse than when I started. I've been on this combitination for 7 weeks now and there are not any improvements. I'm embarrassed to be around people and I feel like I look hideous. I'm going to continue taking this combitination for another few weeks and see if there are any improvements, but right now I just want to stop.

ive been using Tazorac for about a month. I went to the derm & was told i have "light acne" he gave me some samples & a prescription. he recommended i was with cetaphil antibacterial soap (its amazing) before i started i came home, read the reviews & they super freaked me out. the side effects didnt seem worth it to clear my "light acne" i tried it anyways - def noticed good results FAST. the whiteheads i had were gone within 2 days, my skin texture is way better, i had no initial break out & havent really had any new blemishes. a have noticed that IF you pick @ something it takes WAY longer to clear up & kinda leaves a nasty mark. my skin is really sensitive now though so much im worried about getting my eyebrows waxed. also now i can see the few scars left on my face from previous breakouts so i will be finding away to get rid of them. overally im super impressed. dont let the reviews scare you. it works!

I have been using tazorac for a little over a year now, when I first got it, I misunderstood the derm. and only used it on the specific pimple. So make sure to put about a pea size amt. all over your face, I also use duac topical gel on top of that - rec. by my derm. together they work very well. The routine that I have found to work (I have very sensitive skin) is to take a wash cloth, and dove sensitive skin bar soap and lather that onto your face, scrubbing moderately. Then make sure ALL soap is off, and dry off your face. Then take a pea size amt. of tazorac and put little dots all over your face, then rub all in. Then I use duac topical gel on top of that as well, and you do the same thing, just a pea size amt. and little dots and rub in. I have noticed if I, personally use more than that, it makes me break out more. So do not be too generous with the amt. just a pea size amount. In the morning I usually feel a little dry so I use a light moisturizer to have a fresh feeling.

clears up acne pimples, makes skin tone even, makes skin glow, removes hyperpigmentation, makes pores look invisible, doesn't smell weird, a little goes a long way
Cons:
Causes occasional dryness around the mouth during dry months of the year, & is only available with a prescription, takes up to 6 weeks for adjusting.
I was on this product with Clindagel as a supplemental remedy for 4 years. Nothing, not even accutane, worked better for me. When I was using this med, people who I would meet, my friends, everyone would tell me that I had beautiful skin & that they didn't believe that I suffered with pretty serious acne. I would show pictures & people would be amazed that I had ever even had a pimple. I lost my insurance 2 years ago & tried to use Proactive instead, & for 2 years I have had a face full of pimples. Hopefully I am going back on Tazorac & Clindagel this month when I go back to the derm for the first time in years! If you are considering this product just know that you cannot miss a dose or you will have peeling issues & you may get a zit or 2. If stay on top of your doses, potentially this can give you the skin you dream of having. I can't wait to get back on it!

I am a female acne veteran. I didn't have bad teenage acne, but developed it in my 20s and it has gotten progressively worse every decade as my hormones have changed. ANY medication, wash, treatment you can name (short of Accutane, it always scared me), I have tried it. At 40, I have been using Tazorac since October 2008. It is phenomenal!! It has clear up the deep cystic bumps along my jawline and has improved the texture of my skin dramatically. I can't wait to see what it does for some of the scarring I have (too early to see results!!). Just remember, approach this medication cautiously!! Use the recommended amount'pea sized'more product IS NOT BETTER. When I first started with Tazorac, I used it once/week for 1 week, twice/week for 2 weeks, three times/week for three weeks, etc'until I could tolerate it every day. I also wash my face, wait 1 hour and apply a light moisturizer before the Tazorac. It will work, be patient and don't be overly aggressive with the amount you use.

Pros:
old acne scars are fading away, few to no new pimples show up, smoother skin, regained self esteem
Cons:
My skin did get worse before it got better. That lasted only a couple of weeks. I had some dryness and peeling but no itching.
It really does work if you follow your doctor's instructions properly. I only use a pea sized amount (which is plenty) at night only. I was diagonsed with adult acne and since then I have been on it for 5 months and my acne is 95% gone. I only get a few new pimples about once a month but they are smaller and go away faster now. It did take me the whole 12 week "trial" period to notice significant improvement but I stuck with it everyday and it worked. I had to change other lifestyle habits too. I switched makeup to a mineral foundation, use moisterizer everyday, and use gentle soaps instead of OTC acne cleaners. My face is back to normal now.
