Pros:

nice texture, nice smell

Cons:

can over dry and a good moisturiser is required even on my very oily skin

since having clearer skin due to use of roaccutane, i have used this product i feel it has over irritated my skin and caused the breakouts on my chin, it leaves an excellent clean feeling but that is not worth the acne.

Pros:

got rid of my acne quickly!

Cons:

face is a little dry.

Both of these i assume are from this. I'm using a few and only one other is for acne in general, other ones are for dryness, blackheads, etc. but after about a week of this, my face has hardly any acne. I love this product.

Pros:

Nice feeling scrub.

Cons:

Does not actually work.

This product felt great and made me think that it might work but it was another waste of money and did not help clear my face. Also the tube looked cool... that might be half the reason I chose it. At least I know to never buy it again in the future.

This is amazing when paired up with the 4 hour vanishing cream. It's like my own skin care army! I LOVE it! Trust me, if it worked on me, it'll work on you. NOTHING works for my skin, that is until I found Clearasil Ultra(: Thanks Clearasil!

Pros:

makes skin feel so soft and fresh, rids of acne (tho i have mild-average acne). no redness

Cons:

leaves skin a little dry, but a moisturizer takes care of that.

LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!! clean & clear didnt work @ all for me. pro-active is too expensive. st.ives is too abrasive. and another product that i can even remember the name made my skin EXTREMELY irratated. i tried this product and i absolutely love it! though if i dont use it for even a day sometimes, i have some blemishes come back.but i love the product so much, i cant stand not using it, haha.

Pros:

skin doesn't feel dry after using it. skin feels soft.

Cons:

I'm not really sure it it helps acne.

I've used this product for a year and a half now. My skin is soft and I still get pimples and such, but when I don't use it, my skin feels dry and itchy. I switched to another moisturizer about five months ago and that triggered my acne. So, I guess it prevents most of your pimples.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
