Pros:

- Doesn't leave face shiny
- Feel it working
- Actual moisturizes AND treats acne
- Bottle lasts for a long time if used 2x a day

Cons:

- Some redness/irritation at beginning of use (very small amount)

This is a fantastic product as it combines two very useful actions into one cream! However, this cannot be used by itself as a acne treatment, it's meant to supplement/aid with other acne treatments. I have had a bottle for 9 months now and still have some left over after using it 2x a day. Great product, and would recommend to anyone!

Pros:

Cleansed my skin
Helped clear my acne
Helped prevent new acne from forming

Cons:

Left my skin a bit dry
Didn't remove all my makeup

This is an average cleanser. It didn't cause me to break up, but it helped clear my skin. However it is too harsh to use during the winter time since it dried out my skin.

Pros:

Exfoliates the face.

Cons:

Leaves red marks, scars, and peels the skin too much. My skin became super dried out!! Make-up ended up looking cakey on me due to my skin being so dry.

Very irratable on the skin because I have sensitive skin. If your skin is oily, I wouldn't worry too much. The gentle formula is still too harsh on my skin and still made it worse so I don't recommend it for sensitive skin like mine. I switched from the BP solution, which I used for over a year.

Pros:

Decrease pimple size!!!
Softens skin
Brightens face
Cleans face without over drying
Does what it says it will do!

Cons:

None! ^_^

I have officially found the face wash that I will use for life! (Now to find the ultimate eye cream, toner, and moisturizer and anything else that will make my face look good. lol) Anyway, I just want to tell a little about myself. I am a 20 year old who still has acne, with LOTS of hyperpigmentation - started when I was 12. Recently I tried to drink a tablespoon of flaxseed a day so that I could get my omega-3 fatty acids and it BROKE me out! now when I mean broke me out, I don't mean a little cluster of pimples at the side of my cheek, I mean my WHOLE face, especially my forehead. I literally hated it! I came across this product because I ran out of my Acnefree sulfur mask, and since this was a heck of a lot bigger and said "Mask" I said why not? - Besides it was for postacne marks, which seemed like a plus. Honestly, I didn't expect it to work, but that night when I used it, my face felt so soft and the next morning my pimples were smaller! So I continue to use it and it has really helped my face a lot! It feels smoother, looks brighter, and I just feel good after washing my face. As for my marks, I can't completely tell if they are fading since I have a lot, but it has been getting rid of my pimples and I only had this for a week! ^_^ I am very pleased!

A good product. May irritate skin a little if used too much, and a odd scent and some stinging, other then that no complaints. Always noticed a change for the better in my acne after use.

easy to use

Cons:

Doesn't remove all

I really liked this. I have continued using this since the day I bought it. It helps remove some of the blackheads and it smells so good. It doesn't remove all of it but the results are pretty good.I noticed many of my blackhead appear lesser and it works each day. I definitly recommend it!

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
