Acne.org’s Real World Take
Easy to find and with low side effects, but don’t be surprised if you are left wishing for better results after using it for a while. Any acid on its own is unlikely to dramatically clear acne.

Worst product for acne
This product is not meant for people with acne . I am using chambor cleanser toner and moisturizer since last 1 month and my skin has recovered a lot. After that one of my friend suggested me to use these acne pads from clearasil to reduce the acne from inside so I ordered this product from ebay and as all you know ebay services it took them so long to deliver this product . Then I used this pads for 2 days all of sudden my cheeks started getting red pimples big one with full of blood not even with pus.. Irritation started my skin started looking so red and irritated in just two days then I stopped using this and continued my Daily routine my chambor cleanser toner and moisturizer ..twice a week himalaya neem face pack .and putting coconut oil on my dark spots every night before sleeping. .and now everything is fine my skin is looking perfect like before . Well moisturised .clean .. I would not recommend this product to people with red blood filled pimples and oily skin .It will make your skin worse .dont use it. Thank you

Pretty in Pink this maybe, but my face was anything but after using it..............................................
Tried this just the once and did disliked it as much as my skin did. Applying just a pea sized amount to my damp face was enough to leave it extremely dry and irritated just a few minutes later. I am relieved that I did not use it more than once as I've had the same experience with other products and ignored the taut, dry feeling thinking the product must be working. For Neutrogena to state it this product is a daily addition to your skin routine is surprising. I have extremely oily skin yet it totally stripped my face of natural moisture using just a pea-sized amount and on one occasion. I would not recommend this product for any skin type.

Only One That Works for Me!
All the other products mess with my skin WAY too much, but this is perfect and works fast! Just in time for my pictures too! :D

Worked well
Usually when I use an acne product it works for a certain amount of time and then just stops working altogether. However, out of all the products i've used, it has worked consistently for the longest amount of time.

Way too Drying to use during the Winter
I think I'll go back to using this face wash to during the spring/summer months, because this makes my face feel like a dried-up sponge after I wash my face. The Benzyl peroxide is already drying my face, i don't need this face wash to re-enforce that. On a nicer note, this face wash feels soo refreshing on the skin while you wash it. I only use this face wash now to remove my makeup.

It's okay
I use this on my nose for blackheads. It leaves a shiny residue that I'm not fond of, however, I have noticed that I have fewer blackheads.

Great for removing makeup
This stuff doesn't really work great as a facial scrub, it dries out the skin so bad and just doesn't do anything to the acne or blemishes. On the other hand, it's an amazing makeup remover. This stuff literally dissolves any and all makeup, including on brushes and sponges. Will dry out the skin, though, I'd recommend using a heavy duty moisturizer if you're gonna use this often.

Best Toner Under $10
This is one of the best toners I have ever used. It leaves your face feeling clean and refreshed without drying your skin out. This toner is part of Neutrogena's Microclear ® Technology product line and at just under $7 per bottle it's an absolute steal. Microclear ® is a patented technology composed of three ingredients acting in synergy to prepare the skin to receive salicylic acid under good conditions: so, that it can act deeply in the pores and release all its efficiency to help get rid of spots.

Amazing results...
I have very pale sensitive skin. I have been using this product with fantastic results. I do notice a bit of a sting when I apply this, but it's very strong stuff. 2% salicylic acid and 10% glycolic acid in the same product is going to be all business. I don't recommend using something that strong every day...use your head. If you haven't used any kind of AHA or BHA regularly, expect this to trigger some purging from the glycolic acid. Not only has this helped tremendously with getting my acne under control, but it's also helped with my laugh lines! Bonus! Plus, the texture of my skin is greatly improved. I will never buy drugstore acne pads again. They just can't compare. I take one star off because it is such a harsh product--used every day (don't even think about twice a day! ) would certainly result in dryness and could cause over-exfoliation.

Not good
It did nothing for my marks and definitely nothing for my pimples. Smelled bad as well.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
