Pros:

Reduce acne size; cause of blackheads to become smaller.

Cons:

Takes a while for it to work.

I would recommend this to anyone with acne. Easy, affordable, and functional :)

Pros:

When paired with Tretinoin Cream .1% it works.

Cons:

Have to use it every single day. If you stop, the acne comes back. Also, after 1-2 years of use, my acne developed a resistance to this, and I had to switch to another medication.

I used Clindamycin gel by applying a thin film to my face in the morning and at night I would apply a thin film of Tretinoin Cream 0.1%. It took about 3 weeks to see results, but eventually all my acne went away. I was clear for a period of 1-2 years, but then my face started building a resistance to the medication, and the acne came back. I find that with these prescription medications, they will work for about 1-2 years and then they stop working, so I have to switch from one to the other. All these dermatologist prescribed medications do work, but they do not cure acne. They just temporarily mask it. You have to use them on a consistent basis every day, or your acne will come back. Right now, I have stopped taking all these and I am trying natural methods such as taking probiotics and fiber supplements to see if I can get to the root of the problem.

Pros:

Makes Blackheads smaller, leaves your face feeling cleaner, Easy to pack, use and works pretty well on short notice. Diminishes redness of T-zone

Cons:

For me, at least, I find the pledglets smell unpleasantly, and they make my face red and somewhat sting if I've overused them. I've switched to a different brand of pledglets, and all of the above is nicely diminished.

The pledglets are good; a bit rough if you have sensitive skin like me. If you do, you can use it once a day, or once every other day. They make your face shiny, and clean, so I use it at night. If I feel a breakout coming on, or my nose is getting clogged with blackheads, I use it, and by morning, it's shrunk the spots. I've been using it for two years, but consistently for a year. My acne used to be pretty severe sometimes-- I also use Differen and pills, so I'm not sure what part the Pledglets play, but I do know that they are handy and convenient to have.

Pros:

Benzaclyn is the way to go and now they give you more with a attachable pump. Absorbs well in the skin

Expensive if no insurance, but worth it,

I have used this med for about 3 years consistently and NOTHING I mean nothing worked better. I was on everything from Ceplex, to drugs to treat TB! All of this for a breakout on my chin! I still have minor breakouts in the area, but using Benzaclyn daily keeps them from actually forming. Now I do not have to "pop" anything. I have less scars, because of this. Benzaclyn is truly the best and I suggest using only the Brand name and nothing else. I love this med!! I just purchased my refill yesterday!!

Pros:

Cheap, odorless, light weight, destroys bacteria that clogs pores and causes acne

Cons:

Wish I had this a year ago!

I love Benzaclyn! It has cleared all of the little bumps of acne on my cheeks and forehead. I have hormonal acne and breakouts, but this stuff does the job. Works way better than Retin A, and I've even stopped taking oral antibiotics because it's helped so much. Although I still have scars (which are fading), I do not always feel the need to wear concealer whereas before I wouldn't go to the gym without make-up on. Before my acne was moderately severe, but now it's down to light/moderate.

Pros:

Definitely keeps the acne at bay; takes a couple of weeks to truly kick in, but that's how our skin is!

Cons:

If used too much it causes redness, dries, and if using too much it irritates the hell out of your skin!

It is a good prescription to get, but I'm running out, so I won't know what will happen when I stop using it...

I've used clindamycin on and off for the past few years. When I initially started using clindamycin, it worked great and cleared up the vast majority of my acne. I stopped using it for a while because my breakouts stopped, however recently my acne has returned. I began using clinda quite frequently, 2-3 times daily, with no results. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW, that clindamycin is an antibiotic, and like all antibiotics, must be used in moderation. I was using clindamycin so often, that I developed an antibiotic resistance to its effects. Do not use the medication too often. Use it once in the morning and once at night for about 2 weeks. Then stop for a month or so before trying again.

Pros:

Inexpensive
Cleared up my face REALLY WELL. Nothing else was working and I had really stubborn acne before it.
DOES NOT damage skin or change its texture... no flakiness or long term side effects

Cons:

It takes time... I used it for about two months when i noticed the pimples were'nt coming back. No difference overnight.
Felt sweaty and greasy at first but even though I have REALLY oily skin, it balanced out within a week.

I would DEFINITELY recommend it. I've had acne for 10 years almost and nothing else worked as well. This time, I had the WORST adult acne ever and this worked awesomely even though nothing else was working. I use Skinoren for a week every month and I'm using Clearsil's super fine scrub (forgot the name) with Acne-Aid liquid facewash. The results are AWESOME. I was literally sinking into depression before thinking nothing's going to treat my stubborn acne but its almost gone now. The inflammation has all but disappeared.

Pros:

Clindamycin pledgets 1% topical antibiotic on a pad leaves my skin feeling clean. Even after you wash your face and then use these pads, you can still see residue that it takes off. it doesnt clear up my skin completly (nothing does), but it does reduce the amount of blemishes.

Pros:

Made acne lessen and redness is still disappearing. a little bit of dryness but not a lot. but i use the clindamycin lotion so it doesn't try up.

Cons:

not very fast at reducing the redness but its better than anything i have ever used :)

use it once in the morning and once at night and it should work. don't over use it or you will get itchy or dry skin.
