Pros:

You put in on b-4 you go to bed. You only need a little bit

Cons:

If i didn't have insurance, it would be too exspensive for me i think. And it's kind of greesy feeling.

I think this stuff works. I have only been using it for a week, and i can tell it's getting rid of thise bumps that would never go away, no matter how much i washed my face and didn't touch it. It's drying out my skin alot, but i have just been putting on more lotion than i normally would b-4 i got this stuff.

Pros:

Isn't smelly and can provide some help towards acne control with extended use. And, I didn't find this product to really be irritating to my skin at all.

Cons:

This is a product that provides real results after quite some time. As, there are some acne products that you see results with after a week. However, this product is definitely one that does not work that quickly at all to provide results.

If you are someone who has moderate to severe acne, then you are better off not using this product. As, I have mild to moderate acne and this product took quite a while for me to see changes in my acne with this product. So, overall, if you have mild or sometimes moderate acne you can give this product a try. But, definitely be prepared to have to wait things out to any noticeable results from this product. This isn't a product that I plan revisiting. As, I honestly don't find it to be aggressive enough towards providing consistent acne control.

Pros:

It pretty much cleared my face in about three weeks, I'm talking about clear skin!!!! my face was finally clear, it was even looking, i had gorgeous skin.
It worked for me 120%

Cons:

The first couple of days maybe the first week my face broke out with pimples everywhere it was nightmare, I looked like hot mess I think for the whole time my face was a mess I didn't go out, but after the first week my face started to clear.

The Bottom Line is that MY FACE GOT FREE OF ACNE!!!. Now the Only other con I had was the price with insurance i only paid $15, with out the tube is $225 = ( So for about six months My face got so much better Like I got compliments of how good my skin looked and so soft, and it was Like i wish I could show you guys pictures. Now this is a life style always washing your face EVERYSINGLEDAY!!!! and not touching. Now i did get pimples once in a while but but just by putting some extra Differing on the actual pimple by next day It was gone. I said for about Six months because after that I quit my job so I don't have insurance right now so i haven't been able to buy it so now the pimples are coming back, but eventually i'll go buy it again. IT WORKS! BOTTOM LINE - WELL TO ME IT WORKED.

Pros:

Takes about a month to see some results but it deffinetly works. I mean you guys have no idea how my self esteem improved and I'm just so happy THAT IT WORKS!

Cons:

Nothing really the first week I used I had peeling but not nearly as bad from when I used Retin-A and I used Retin-A for 3 months and the peeling NEVER went away. If you have good insurance it'll cover it.

It deffinetly works and if you wear make-up ad worried about peeling this is probalby your best bet. I read other reviews of their skin getting worse before it gets better but for me it got a lot better but I had a couple of more breakouts on the chin but the big ugly red bumps went away. And for me it really didn't last long...

Pros:

I found that if you globbed it on a zit it would get much better overnight, it cleared up all the ance on my cheeks.

Cons:

Doesn't get rid of all the acne. I didn't see the same results as everyone else did, at all.

Differin is expensive. ($30 for a tube) I've tried everything, and nothing has worked. I'll have clear skin one week, the I'll look like a pizza the next. Maybe that's just the way my face is. I've tried Acne-Free, The Wave, Stridex, Clearasil, and the Stress control stuff. I've yet to try Proactive or Skin ID. But, the pink grapefruit stuff worked pretty well. I'd try that. (:

Pros:

Cleared my skin after years of embarrassment and whiteheads. I tried everything! This with the combination of antibiotics cleared me in a few weeks. Now I can go make-up-less and I NEVER thought I could do this!!!

Cons:

Price. Dry skin patches.

Just try it. You will soon be zit free. It has changed my life for the better.
February 12, 2009

Pros:

Skin is alot smoother and the pimples seem to have become smaller and less inflammed.

Cons:

Within the first few days of use my skin became red , peely and dry. But although this disappeared within a few days it still meant that my self esteem had a hit when i went to school with a red face.

Good for clearing acne if you are preapared for the side effects.

Pros:

EASY TO USE, EFFECTIVE WHEN USED DAILY. IT MADE MY SKIN CLEARER, PRODUCT THAT WORKED FOR MY TYPE OF SKIN>OILY/COMBINATION< I HAVE USED PROACTIVE AND OTHER OVER THE COUNTER TOPICALS BUT THAT WAS A BIG MISTAKE.

Cons:

TAKES A WHILE TO HEAL UP ACNE SCARRING

PROCRASTINATING TO GO THE DERMATOLOGIST WILL COST YOU MORE $$$ BELIEVE ME. THIS IS MY REGIMEN: -CLEAN FACE WITH OLIVE SOAP(ALL NATURAL) IN THE MORNING -THEN A MILD SCRUB -AND DONT FORGET TO MOISTURIZE- AND PUT SOME SORT OF SUNSCREEN -AND AT NIGHT I WASH MY FACE WITH THE OLIVE SOAP FIRST AND THEN A BPO WASH 6% AND PUT ON THE DIFFERIN 0.3 GEL. I ALSO TAKE A ANTIBIOTIC MY DERM PRESRIBE DAILY. I KNOW THIS SOUNDS A LOT BUT IS MUCH EASIER THAN USING THAT PROACTIV ON YOUR FACE

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
