Cons:
Makes your skin dry, so only use it where you need it.
I have been using Differin for about a year and a half, along with Tetracycline. The Differin was okay, it made my skin heal faster, but it wasn't doing anything to help with the bacteria that was contributing to the acne in the first place. So about a month ago my doctor told me to start using Epiduo. He also told me to take the Tetracycline more frequently (2 in the am and 2 in the pm) I was really surprised at how fast it cleared my breakouts. My skin breaks out because of my hormones, so I can't do much to prevent the acne ( I still get a few pimples here and there) but they are small and are gone within a day, thanks to Epiduo. I never had the "purging" effect either, probably because I was already using Differin, and my skin had already been purged with an increase in breakouts. But I'm glad I went through it because now my skin is so much better. It took a while to figure out what my skin needed. And I learned what irritates it and what helps it. Be smart when you try products to help your skin, a little goes a long way. I also found that eating right, drinking lots of water and exercising helps too. I ONLY drink water and I make sure to eat plenty of vegetables. I also run every morning I get (nothing too extreme). Sometimes you can't just sit back and expect a little cream to do everything for you. Take care of your body, inside and out, and you will be beautiful :)

I've tried EVERYTHING to clear my acne. I had taken antibiotics for a month and endured stomach problems (and the acne still didn't go away). This stuff actually works! Right away my acne cleared up. The stinging of the gel (for the first 15 minutes or so) is definitely worth having clear skin for a change! Especially since I'm 43 and really shouldn't have acne!!!

I've had acne severely for the past 3 years and nothing I have tried has helped. I've been to the dermatologist quite a few times, she wanted to put me on accutane but my mother read reviews and well... that's just not going to happen. So she gave me these samples of epiduo(so I could see if it worked before we paid $200.00 for it) that I have been using for the past 3 weeks every night and I have seen a big difference in my skin. It's slowly but surely going away it's just taking its sweet time. Hope this helped!

Cons:
-Skin a little bit dry.
-You can't go out without sun block, because you can have burns.
My skin was terrible. I didn't know what to do. So, I decided to go to my dermatologist and see what I can do to improve my skin. When I buy this product and I started to use, I can saw clearly an improvement in my skin. I bought make products without oil too, because we have to use products to our tipe of skin, and skin with acne problems usually are oily.
I really recommend this. My skin know is pretty good and I improve my self steem again.

This product has saved my life. Before this product my skin was breaking out like crazy, I had bumps on my skin and pimples on my face and tons of old acne scars. I started using this product every night and noticed results immediately. My skin got pretty dry, so you MUST have a good moisturizer, a gentle cleanser, and a face exfoliator. (I use oil of olay sensitive skin moisturizer, cetaphil or oil of olay cleanser, and Dr. Denese Microdemabrasion scrub) I have tried everything from plain old benzoyl soap, spot treatments, zeno, clydimiacin in pill and topical form and NONE have worked the way this has. It has been a miracle for me..I realized it is pretty pricey for such a small tube but think how much you will save on other acne products..just get one that works! I never write reviews on sites, but this product has astonished me to the point that I have to write one. Your skin will get pretty dry with this product so sometimes what I will do is use it at night for two nights in a row and apply moisturizer in the morning, and then on the third night do not apply the epiduo and put aloe vera gel on my face (I use banana boat...even though it has a fragrance and alcohol in it it works better for me than the pure one)..Hope I have helped any of you thinking of trying it!

slow moving process...
so when going to the dermatologist she told me it would be a slow moving process, that it will take time to see results. i didn't really believe her, but shes definitely right! it makes you break out like crazy a few weeks into it and skin is a little red. i had a horrible month where i had huge pimples and i was constantly breaking out. that was really discouraging, but the doctor said thats normal. the medicine is designed to get all the dirt thats built up and surface it.... basically you break out until you can't anymore. i started my treatment in february, and by april my pimples were much smaller, less red, and fewer with every breakout. as time went on it got less and less. and now i hardly have a pimple. every now and then i'll have a small one, but definitely worth it in the end! i have a few post acne marks now, but the cream also helps fade the hyper pigmentation. figured i'd share my experience with it because i know how frustrating it can be, but seriously stick with it. the ending result is so worth it :-)

I cant put moisturizer immediatley on after, it burns
Easy to use, apply pea sized amount to each area (nose, chin forehead, ect...) after washing. It is drying, so use a moisturizer! But it can burn if applied directly after, so I put moisturizer on in the mornings, this stuff on at night. This AND bc pills and Bactrim has kept me spot free since I started so I cant say which is doing the most work, but its great! I put severity as light since i dont have acne anymore!
LOVE IT. Free so far with my samples, but I'm filling my prescription next week. Hope its not too pricey!

I've been using this product for about 3 weeks now and I haven't seen any results yet. Right now all it does is just dry my skin out and it my face sting really bad! I can't even put anything on it cause it'll make it worse. I also take 100mg minocycline as an antibiotic 2x a day and I use Cetaphil face wash. Being on this pill has reduced the redness and pain of my pimples so that's the only Pro to my treatment right now. So far Epiduo isn't doing anything I just hope it kicks in soon.

I used this after I came off accutane and started breaking out again. has really done nothing for my skin, and I think my skin is ACTUALLY WORSE! Not for me I guess...

I was prescribed this to take with my Accutane.I've been using this for about a month.My skin is sensitive,so I only use it every other night cause it dries skin out.I recommend moisturizing every other night and every morning,cause it is drying,and this is coming from someone with very oily skin.I mainly use it along my jawline because that's where I get cystic acne,and it has helped,I have broken out,but not as bad and it dries up my breakouts and has definitely helped my blemishes lighten.I recommend it,just moisturize!
