Tea tree oil is defined by international standard ISO 4730 (2004) (“Oil of Melaleuca, Terpinen-4-ol type”), which specifies levels of 15 components, which are needed to define the oil as “tea tree oil.”

Among over 98 compounds contained in the oil, terpinen-4-ol is responsible for most of the antimicrobial activity.

Pros:

My acne is almost completely gone.(:&it only took a few days.

Cons:

stings a bit at first.but no pain,no gain.

My acne is pretty bad.I get cystic acne(acne under the skin.) all the time.It had recently gotten to the point where I would cry because it hurt so bad.I was at Trader Joe's when I noticed their Tea Tree Oil face wash, cleansing pads, and Blemish Stick(Also from tea tree oil.). In about 3 days,my cysts were pretty much gone.I've also been taking Omega 3 fish oil pills. This might be helping too. My skin feels great now,&I can't wait until school starts. (:

Pros:

Makes your skin feel smoother, works FAST, affordable, TRY IT!!

Cons:

If you had previously popped pimples it will make them look worse at first...so don't pop them! Other than that..nothing.

Im 15, and this is the ONLY product that has worked. I use the tea tree oil pads which is not just straight tea tree oil because I have sensitve skin.Everything else made my acne worse and I got allergic reactions. I have been using it for about a week and my acne is almost completely gone. I used to be so embarrassed because almost everyone I know has completely flawless skin. School starts in a couple of weeks and my face is almost completely clear, I hope this continues to work so I can show my new beautiful skin off!

Pros:

It started to dry up my pimples almost as soon as I applied it. Works especially well on blind pimples. Takes the redness away and reduces inflammation.

Cons:

None

I've had acne since I was teen (now 40) and was on antibiotics for years. I've tried so many remedies (i.e. chinese herbs, infrared sauna, shea butter, etc). The first time I tried tea tree oil was years ago from the Body Shop and it didn't work (made my acne worse). I started using New Co. brand yesterday and I can already see an amazing difference.

Pros:

I started useing it this morning and just applied some before bed, so far it seems to be helping already and its only been like 12 hours. I like the fact that the pain I usually get from my acne is gone right when you apply.

Cons:

I have very fair and sensitive skin, I'm Irish so I have to be very careful what I use, so far the only con is the strong scent which kinda grows on you, it's very herbie.

I have adult acne, started around when I turned 18 or 19 so I've only been dealing with it for about 5 years and it's very light acne but I get the pustual acne you know the really gross kind that turn into white pus balls on your face gross right? Well I've tryed Pro active, Nutrogena, clean and clear, noxema, clearasil, cetaphil, toothpaste which dries out acne but is only a temporary solution, the only thing that has ever worked for me almost completely is Nature's Cure the pill and cream kit. I am using it along with the tea tree oil. I've been using natures cure for two month's now but 2 years ago I was on it for about a year then like an idiot stop using it because my acne cleared up lol.

Pros:

I have been using dermatologist prescribed meds. for years and i'm only 14, i use this with some other stuff i have, and although it isn't completely gone, it has definately improved my skin tone, scars, and lessoned my breakouts!

Cons:

It smelt disgusting at first, but i kinda like it now, it dries out your skin so i use an oil-free moisurizer

Use it. if you have geneticly terrible skin like me, u may need to use other things with it. Otherwise i think it could do miracles for others with mild acne. (i got mine in a small bottle at trader joes)

Pros:

Makes my skin glow and dries out pimples pretty quickly.

Cons:

Does cause some whiteheads to appear initially, but apparently that is the oil being pulled up from your skin by the tea tree oil. The do go away with continued use.

Try it at least! Here is some scientific data: [link removed]

Pros:

Cleared up the majority of stubborn pimples and stops new ones from forming.

Cons:

Smells a little strange, but it's kinda nice smelling once you get used to it. It can react strongly with your skin at first. Stings a bit in the beginning.

I had my doubts, but this stuff has really worked for me. If you get 100% tea tree oil, which I recommend, be sure to get a damp tissue and then apply. Do NOT apply full strength directly to your face, it will burn, trust me. But my mild scars are starting to fade, and my acne is definitely clearing up!

Pros:

takes care of scars for good as well as any discoloration
treats mild to moderate cases of acne

Cons:

did not treat cystic acne had to resort to prescription drugs for that
leaves an oily film on my skin which surprised me

i was suffering from moderate to mild acne since my teens and had tried various things from prescription to home remedies and this was one of the best deals.i just use the body shop tea tree oil at night on my cheeks and acne prone areas and it seemed to work.however it is useless on cystic acnes that comes once in 2 months. moreover i also used the tea tree oil masks, scrub but it was not as effective as the oil

Pros:

Really tightens the pores! I'm currently using the Body Shop Tea Tree Oil line as a daily regimen and it's great! It has a fresh, natural, clean feeling when I use the foaming cleanser and the tea tree oil is slowly drying out all my pimples!

Cons:

I paid $50Aus for a cleanser, toner and moisturiser which I think is quite expensive. But I only use about two drops of each product and it still works. I got a tester of the cleanser which I used in about 4 days and it's a tester in those little bag

After about 3 years on Dan's regime, my pimples reappeared and were stronger, faster and just damn annoying! So after I read the reviews for tea tree oil, I decided to go to the Body Shop and they got me on their regime and products. Their staff is so well advised and even the consultant was telling me that he also experienced a bad time with benzoyl peroxide and he too was on tea tree oil and the seaweed range at the Body Shop. I have been using it for a few days and it's been going so well, I'm going to say goodbye to Cetaphil and benzoyl peroxide. I have mild acne and I'm trying to kill two blemishes at the moment and tea tree oil is making it dry up but it's not as red and as angry-looking when I use to put benzoyl peroxide on it. I'm going to buy their masks, exfoliators etc. I hope my skin gets better to the point where I can 'upgrade' myself to the Seaweed range. I recommend this for people who have mild-moderate acne, oily skin and asian, as my mum is a natural herb freak!
