Pros:

Saw a positive difference within 24hrs.
Blemishes beginning to not be as noticable.

Cons:

Smell

I was leary at first but after using it for a week - I've found what my skin needs! I would recommend that you use 3 parts vinegar to every 1 part water until you eventually have the two liquids break-even. Also...while your skin may clear up using the combo twice a day - I would recommend that it only be used once because it is harsh on the skin and could dry it out. I go back and forth between the vinegar/water combo and Clean & Clear for sensative skin and haven't had any issues. I'm glad to see something so simple and inexpensive could clear up so much! I love it!

Pros:

- It helps fade away scars
- It helps decrease break outs

Cons:

- It smells terrible
- It tingles
- My eyes are sensitive to it (I guess it depends the more you dilute it though, the less of a problem this is)

I have suffered from acne for years. (I am now 23 yrs) I drink 8-12 glasses of water a day and still I was getting break outs. I realized that I had a hormonal imbalance, so I am on tri-cylcen along with that I am using the apple cider. It significantly helped fade my scars and changed the texture of my skin (smoother now). It took about a month before I saw results. Be patient, educate yourself (ph balance, poor diet, not enough water, hormones, allerigic reactions, product reactions (i.e. costume earings that touch your face), lack of sleep, stress, products that are irritating the skin ect.) Good luck you guys, hope this helped a bit!

Pros:

-Cheap
-Balances skin pH level when used with Baking Soda

Cons:

-Stinky

After washing my face with Baking Soda (mixed with Cetaphil), I use Apple Cider Vinegar as a topical toner. It works great! There are many recipes online for the toner, some adding extra ingredients just to alleviate the pungent smell. I would not recommend using ACV by itself - it can be pretty harsh. I use a mixture of 1/3 cup ACV, 1/3 cup green tea, and 1/3 cup water. I keep it in a leftover olive oil jar with a twist-on lid. I also keep it in the fridge.

Pros:

smells horrible (but goes away in a few mins)
unpleasant taste

Cons:

natural, cheap and effective

Not everything works for everybody sense we're all different and have different body chemistry but it can't hurt to try it -- you might be pleasantly surprised. I'm a 30 year old black female and have suffered from ance breakouts since age 13. I've tried every acne product on the market and spent thousands of dollars on weekly spa facials. Nothing to this date has completely stopped new breakouts from happening but, I've been using BRAGGS ORGANIC ACV both INTERNALLY (2 teaspoons with 8 ounces of water twice a day) and EXTERNALLY (as a toner mixed with purified water) for going on 2 weeks and my complexion has never looked better. I'm glowing and I have had very minimal (one pimple on my brow line) breakout since starting my new regimen. I drink the AVC mixture first thing in the AM, I wash my face with DDF Blemish Foaming Cleanser, tone with my AVC mixture and then apply my mosturizer with sunscreen which, I've added a few drops of pure vitamin E oil to and repeat again in the evening. So far so good -- Wish me luck!

Pros:

-curbs appetite
-fades scars

Cons:

-HUGE breakout
-didnt cure any current acne

I started using Braggs ACV on my face and the next day, I had broken out worse than ever before. I thought they were just purged and would go away in time. Nope! I continued using ACV for weeks and they never cleared. ACV has only worked for me on body acne scars, fading them more and more each day

Pros:

it seemed to work for a while when i was using it with baking soda

Cons:

gave me a load of tiny pimples, which piss me off the most, then didn't do anything to clear them

i used it for a week, then stopped not only because i wasn't seeing much improvement but also because i realized it's too harsh and the smell was just too much to handle for everyone in my house. i was using it with baking soda, which gave me a sore, so now i have about 3 large scabs on my face from baking soda, a bunch of little bumps, and some red marks from my impatience. i should have never started this to begin with, it's regrettable. originally i was using emu oil with vitamin e and rubbing it into my skin which kept my skin VERY even however didn't get rid of bumps. i guess everything has its pros and cons.. now i'm in desperate need of a facial and an AHA peel to get rid of all my stupidity. it's not worth trying it, it may be a miracle for some. but it's much too strong anyways, and once it ruins your light to moderate acne and makes it moderate to severe, youll regret it. i promise.

Pros:

-helps acne go away
-can help acne marks fade faster
-cheap

Cons:

-smells nasty
-will not prevent future acne from coming
-dries out skin

After hearing such great reviews about ACV I finally started using it and in the first couple weeks it did work great on existing acne. Pimples would go away within a couple days which didn't happen as quickly as using BP cream. Also marks left from old acne started fading way. At first I thought this was a miracle and replaced using BP with this. It worked well until I noticed that it doesn't work well to prevent future acne. During my time of the month when I break out a lot, it was really bad, so right now I'm back to using BP. I think ACV is great if you have a pimple or mark you really want to remove because it works a lot faster than BP, but ACV doesn't help to prevent future acne. It also will dry out your skin :/

Pros:

Lightens acne hyperpigmentation, evens out skin tone, fewer breakouts (especially the pustule kind), slightly reduces oil production, makes skin glow

Cons:

Smells bad, but tolerable when diluted and used at night. May also dry out skin, so you might want to test out a ratio that's right for your skin type and use moisturizer.

I am Asian with olive, light-medium skin tone. My skin is extremely oily and usually produces oil about 20-30 minutes after I wash my face and apply makeup. I have mild acne and tend to break out on my cheeks, jawline, and around the mouth area, especially during that time of the month. I've been using Bragg's organic apple cider vinegar for about 3 weeks now, and I can see a tremendous difference it has made on my skin. I am mostly concerned about the brown hyperpigmentation on my right cheek that's about a quarter-size big (has been there for almost a year now). ACV has lightened that spot up by about 20%, which is a HUGE improvement, considering I've tried every OTC hydroquinone product in the book that all have failed to work. When using ACV, it's IMPERATIVE to use sunscreen because it makes your skin more sensitive to burning, plus you want to protect your skin from further hyperpigmentation. In the mornings, I wash my face with a sea salt water solution (1 part non-iodized Morton's sea salt mixed with 4-5 parts warm water), leave on for about 5 minutes and wash it off with plain water. Then I use Olay Complete Moisturizer for sensitive skin SPF 15. I hardly go out in the sun, so this is sufficient for me. Use a higher SPF if you are outside for longer periods of time. Please buy the Walmart Equate brand because the ingredients are similar to Olay's OLD formulation! The new one uses avobenzone as an active sunscreen ingredient, and I find that this breaks me out. However, Olay will be releasing the old formulation again by April 2010 ^_^). I don't usually use the ACV toner in the morning because of the smell. I also use foundation with SPF 17 for more sunscreen benefits. In the evenings, I wash with a mask of 1/2 tsp of baking soda and 1 Tbsp of honey for 3 minutes (do NOT scrub!). Rinse off with warm water and use ACV toner (1 part ACV to 3 parts water). I only moisturize the dry areas in my skin with jojoba oil and spot treat with tea t

Pros:

cheap and easy to purchase.

Cons:

the smell, its effectiveness, and it actually made my acne worse.

I decided to try this product after seeing the great reviews on this site. I have oily skin and severe acne and have for years so I was really hoping this would work. I used this as a toner twice a day full strength for about 3 to 4 weeks. The first 3 days my skin seemed to be clearing up and I thought this might be THE product to end my horrible acne. After the 3 days my skin became much worse and instead of just getting the normal big/deep pimples I started to get tiny bumps around my face also. I finally got to the place where my acne looked so bad I could not take the product any longer. I only kept at the product for so long because I read on here that it took up to a month to see a difference. This did not work for me at all but I think it is about finding that product that works for you. I feel like I am out of options right now but am going to keep trying and hope there is something out there that can help my skin. I don't know if I can recommend this but I think it is worth a try. It is not super expensive and seems to work for a lot of people so what is there to lose? a couple more weeks of bad acne?

Pros:

Surface of my skin became a lot smoother, even and old marks faded away quickly.

Cons:

Smells a bit.

I started diluting this in the beginning, but after a while just used to apply this neat, with a cotton wool pad, before bed time. I was skeptical in the beginning but was prepared to try anything. It's very cheap (compared to many other products) and worked. For a while (I've had another bad flare up and have new scars at the mo.) my skin was completely mark free and I'm sure that some of the more minor indentations had improved as well. I'm not sure how effective it would be with very dep scarring, but it would still help with red marks etc.
