Pros:

None so far

Cons:

Unbelievable allergic reaction. Sore throat, rash, itchyness especially around my eyes, neck and genetil area. Definitely got the flu symptoms.

I took it for 5 days and had the most severe allergic reaction. Never had an allergic reaction before. Went off it and the doctor prescribe Predisone to combat the reaction. Suddenly my skin was perfect. I suffered from alot of whiteheads / black heads and large pimples. Then a week later my skin went bad. Doctor prescribed Doxy and then my skin went worse. Monocycline does not work for me. Doctor then said try the Bactrim again and the reaction has been less, still get the sore throat and flu symptoms, sore lower back (kidney's) and some itching. I have been on it for 5 days now and have not seen any diference except the side affects. Personally I don't recommend this product and I am thinking of taking Accutane now cause nothing works!!!

Pros:

none!! but I did learn I am allerergic to sulfa. (my first allergy ever)

Cons:

huge pill, hard to go down, very bad allergic reactions

this pill was HORRIBLE for me. I started it 3 weeks ago. about 1 1/2 weeks into it I had a fever of 103 and had swollen lymph nodes and a severe migrane and chills. I went to immediate care but the idiot on call doc. said it was the flu. So now 2 days ago I started getting a rash. Today i went to the doctor with a rash on my legs, arms, hands, and worse of all it traveled from my legs to my butt to my back. I also have a sore throat and a bad hedache. My doc. said its good i came in as soon as i did b/c it could have gotten worse if i didnt stop the pill.

Pros:

None found.

Cons:

Gives you rash if you are allergic.

Turns out I am allergic to this stuff. After about 9 days of taking it I started to get a rash. sent to E.R and given benadryl and tagamet. Hopefully this stuff will clear the rash, but I know when I had an allergic reaction to minocycline, benadryl was not enough.

Cons:

I took this pill for about 2 weeks, without any noticeable results. Then I suddenly broke out in a horrible rash all over my body! My doctor just told me to take Benadryl, which didn't work, and a couple of days later my lips, hands and feetswelledup

I recovered once I received antibiotics, but it was terrifying to react like that! Turns out I am allergic to sulfa drugs, but pretty much the only way to find out if you're allergic is to take the drug, risking a reaction. I always thought I could just watch the effects, and be careful, but these symptoms sprang up over night, even though I had taken Bactrim for weeks!

Cons:

Be CAREFUL!!!!!!!!! I had an allergic reaction after taking this drug. I began with a fever, headaches, and chills. I thought it was a cold. Then one night by face started getting splotchy and tingling/prickly all over. Spread to my entire body.

Had to be hospitalized and shot up with steroids to decrease the swelling and rash. I hear this has worked for clearing up a lot of people, but be careful and very attentive your body's condition when you first start it.
