Maintains, BUT...
Skin type: Sensitive and Oily. Disclaimer: I only used the acne.org BP. I used the normal to dry skin Cetaphil cleanser, and kept trying different moisturizer to combat the dryness the BP left me with afterwards. Let's get straight to the point: It maintained my skin's clarity, hence the 3 stars. I still had the occasional chin pimple around my period, but other than that; clear. This all came at a price. I followed the acne.org regimen of gently applying a thick layer of the BP on the skin and letting it dry for about 20-30 minutes. While I waited for it to dry, my eyes would burn and water, my skin was extremely irritated, itchy, and it stung. After it dried, I found that a normal moisturizer would not do. It would be hard to spread around my face, it seemed like it would skip over my skin and I would have to use more force in applying the moisturizer (which i really didn't want to do). I never found the perfect moisturizer to use after the BP. I found that I wasn't producing any oil during the day, which was very different for me, and it was nice not having to worry about how shiny I was all the time, but then I found that I also looked like a lackluster zombie. Also, my neck started becoming extremely dry, itchy, irritated, and flaky. I later found this was because when I would apply my moisturizer to my face, I would drag the remaining product to my neck and I'm guessing the BP would also get transferred, irritating the delicate neck skin. User error I suppose. But for me, having to literally sit still for 30 minutes in pain, with my eyes closed to avoid the burning and stinging, and not being able to use a regular moisturizer afterwards to combat the dryness was not worth it. With my skin if something doesn't feel right, it probably isn't. I stopped using it and my acne and oil have returned. I use it as a spot treatment for active pimples in combination with Clindamyacin lotion now, and I know if i'm in a pinch it can be relied on. I know that some people will do anything to improve their acne condition, and have different skin situations, and that's why I still wanted to give it 3 stars. I say give it a shot.

I can't wait
I suffered from acne since I was 14 years old Nothing bad, but I thought it was bad I used the things dermotologist prescribed, antibiotics (doxycline) , spiroctone however you spell it lol accutane, birthcontrol pills and bezoyl peroxide gel from dermotologist. The pills would work while I was on it, but onces I stopped acne came back. Now I have almost 2 years suffering from hormonal acne and it has messed me up so bad my confidence went from 100 to zero. At times I feel like crying I have tried everything aloe vera, face mask, I drink alot of water I tried 3 weeks of cutting out dairy and I didn't see no difference. I recently promised myself to get this BP try it for about 3-4 months with my cerave face wash. I have super sensitive skin, who has seen results with this product that had severe acne? And how long did it take you to see results?

I once had a severe acne when I was 16. I tried literally everything and nothing happened. Before, I was using clindamycin and after a year my skin got immuned to it and made my acne worse. I thought nothing’s gonna help my skin and I was about to give up but then I saw the acne.org regimen kit and I gave it a try. After a month, it made my face really dry and flaky but I noticed that there were no new pimples forming. My pimples are also drying out which is a good thing but even a lot of moisturizer won’t help and I was freakinggg out. But after two months my acne is gone, only pimple marks and dry skin. I bought the AHA and it made my skin smooth and moisturized. After that, I only put BP every night and it’s still working out the same way. March 23, 2017 was the day I tried it out and now it’s been a year already and my face is all cleared up but there are still some pimples whenever I’m about to have a period but atleast it made my skin pretty good. 3-4 months is the month that everything would turn out fine. Don’t freak out at first and don’t stop using it you just need to be patient. :) that’s it. Good luck!

Wonderful at clearing up acne but I just can't make it work
it won't stop peeling me which is IMO even worse than the acne (sometimes) because people have acne all the time but I never see someone with alot of flakes on their skin

I'm not sure..
When I first started using these products my face was itchy and irritated. So I stopped using it. I just started back using it for 2 weeks now and my face is flaky but not irritated. My eye lids are also flaky but I never use the product in that area. Any suggestions?

Continue using if you want to see results. My skin got disgusting flaky everyday but I continued and I eventually got rid of all my pimples. Also I wouldn't use the moisturizer they provide I use a heavy duty night one like philosophy which has really made a difference.

Shipping takes forever
Im just commenting on the shipping time I havent tried the product yet. I ordered on 4/17 and didnt receive until 04/25. To come from California to Illinois the shipping could be better. I will be testing the regimen for 2 months. Will come back and update. 5/10/17 Ive been using the treatment now for about 20 days. So far I have seen a reduction in whiteheads, not much for clogged pores but I still have hope. I use the treatment day and night and always be sure to use spf in the morning. Im still on the hunt for a good mineral spf that doesnt leave a white cast since I am darker skinned. I do break out close to my under eyes however I try hard to not it close to my eye area because it can leave the skin raw, red and burning (been there done that). I will be adding the aha+ as a nightly moisturizer once I hit 30 days on the regimen to hopefully help with my hyper pigmentation issue.I do experience some dryness no flaking skin. Im hoping this regimen clears my skin and keeps it clear, I spend so much money on product. I will update again at 2 and a half months. 5/22/17 I'm not longer using this product since being prescribed Benzoyl peroxide and clyndimicyn gel from my derm. The combination of the two works alot better for me vs just BP alone. Since using ive seen a reduction in clogged pores and white heads. I've also seen my skin is alot less oily. My skin While on the acne.org BP I never had an issue with prolonged excessive dry skin. My skin dried out for about a week before it went back to normal. If you can get a prescription from a derm for treatment this does work just slowly. I also only have to use my BP/CLYND gel once a day so way more convenient and since I have insurance its alot cheaper than acne.org as well.

3 Months in - noticeable improvements.
I've had moderate to severe cystic acne all my life from puberty (I'm 21 now). I've been on the regimen for 3 months now and I do see an improvement but I'm not breakout free yet. Pimples that I do get seem to be going away faster and stubborn cysts are definitely shrinking. The downside is that this regimen takes a really long time to work and the dryness is excessive - I've even had to quit wearing skin makeup (not even a tinted moisturiser). I do intend to continue using this for about a year. If I'm not clear by then, I'll quit and head back to the dermatologist.

Could anyone help?
I have just recently started using this product. I heard many great things so I decided to give it a go. I have been using the regimen for about a little over a week now, and I have started to acquire a lot of dry skin. It has gotten to the point where it is all over my face and looks crusty and awful. I read some reviews on the treatment and realized some others have been experiencing this also. Does anyone know how long the dry skin on my face will last? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I have only been on it for just less than a week but am also experiencing crazy dry skin. I think im going to try just the cleanser and moisturiser in the morning and include the BP in the routine in the evening. Good luck! x

Are you following the whole acne.org regimen? Even though my skin is extremely oily, I always follow up bp with moisturizer: in the morning I use Cerave pm facial moisturizer mixed with a drop or 2 of jojoba oil. In the evening I follow up the bp with the Cerave mixed with acne.org's AHA lotion (following their instructions for adding it GRADUALLY or it will sting like the dickens! Following all acne.org's instructions worked great for me!

NO DRYNESS
I've been using BP for a couple if days now, it's early to tell if I'm getting results even though I think I am, but I'm not experiencing any type of dryness, irritation, flakiness.. at the point that it feels useless to apply moisturizer. Guess I'm lucky!

Always add a moisturizer, your skin may begin to dry out over time

How long to keep the BP on my face????
This is my second week in the regime. I am breaking out a bit .I have very very extremely oily skin. I was wondering how long I have to keep the bp on my face before I could wash all of this oil out. I try not to wash my face too much but twice at day doesn't work for me, I have to do at least 3 times with paper blotting in between washes. I know I am not suppose to reapply the second doze before 9 to 10 hours aparts. But I feel that my oily skin is makin me break out more. How many hours I have to keep the bp on my face for it to work???
September 10, 2016
The BP doesn't suppose to make u oily! Did u apply it all over your face and with two pumps??
September 16, 2016
Yes i am following exactly the instructions. Is that I have naturally extremely oily face and not washing my face at least 3 times a day is almos impossible ... I am using the blotting sheets but still I think that the oil in my face is making me brake out
September 17, 2016
:(((( that's crazy!! My face used to be super oily too but when I first started using the BP it's started to dry out and my skin doesn't provide any oil anymore. I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe it's the regimen that's working? Bc it did say that you will break out later on!

regimen on for a week
I've been using this treatment for a week now. And my face is peeling a little only at the chin and my left cheek. On my left cheek, after the skin peeled, i had 3 breakouts that have whitehead,is this part of the process? I also noticed that other areas(forehead, right cheek and temple) are still dark and showed no signs of peeling,is this normal? Will they peel soon? Im afraid that they will stay dark. Please help.
September 1, 2016
It takes quite a while for any regimen to show actual results, assessing after a week really only makes people crazy. Peeling is normal and should reduce once your skin gets used to the treatment. If not, increasing moisturizer or use of jojoba oil helps. Or reduce application of the benzoyl to once per day. As for the whiteheads, those are typical at the beginning of most regimens and is typically referred to as purging. It tends to clear quickly.
