Acne.org : Treatment (Benzoyl Peroxide - 2.5%)

If you want to succeed in this treatment, you have to be PATIENT. It won't clear up acne overnight and it's not a cure, so it's not gonna 100%.clear your acne. I've been using this for about two and half months now and I definitely suggest all of you to give it a try

I love this stuff. I have used many different products through the years and Dan's benzoyl peroxide is one of the highest quality products I have encountered. It is as good if not better than many prescription products (like benzaclyn or benzylmycin). It absorbs well and doesn't leave a nasty white residue like may over-the-counter products. I've had to modify my morning routine a little to allow drying time between each step in the regimen, but its a small price to pay for something that works so well.

I think this is a great product. Before using this I knew benzoyl peroxide works for me. I was using BP in a cleanser and for spot treatment, but had a really bad breakout over the summer and decided to look for something that would be more effective. But not harsh on my skin. This fits the bill. I have light acne with an occasional bad breakout. My breakouts always occur around my mouth. I've been using this for about a month and my skin looks and feels great. No breakouts! If do get something they go away quickly and usually now without coming to a head. My makeup goes on smoother. Also it's helped to reduce shine. I don't use a full finger's length though and i only put it on at night. Occasionally I'll put it on in the morning if there's a small breakout. I've been using this with Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser and Neutrogena Health Skin moisturizer w/ retinol. I recommend those products as well.

I am in love with this formulation! I've used BP before for my acne, but could never deal with the product during the day because most are a thick white, dry to a chalky film that almost seems to suds up if you try to put moisturizer over the top. Initially it dries out your skin but just stick with it as your skin adjusts. I still apply it morning and night and my skin is not dry or flaky at all like it was in the first couple of weeks. My breakouts are gone and my skin is the clearest it has been in over a decade! :) I actually have the pump top bottle of this product and it lasts a long time. :)

Bottom line, this product is G R E A T! It got rid of my acne! Must try!

I have been using Dan's BP gel for 4 years. It really does work. However, I don't do the full regimen, I only use BP at night, because I can't stand the fact that it bleaches your clothes. That's probably why I still get zits sometimes. But it definately makes my skin much better. I hate hate hate the fact that this bleaches fabric, so my pillowcases and sheets always end up with bleached spots. I feel bad when I stay over at a friend's house so I won't use BP because I don't want to ruin their sheets. When I visit my mom I bring my own pillowcase... of course this isn't Dan's fault, any product with BP will do this. But... it works!

GET THIS PRODUCT! Ive tried everything Benzaclin accutane proactiv neutrogena tuff johnsons. This is the most effective and most cheap. im not sure if the BP is good by itself i reccomend getting the whole regimen set cleanser bp and moistureizer. Thank you Dan you are a life saver

I told myself I would write a review once my skin is 100% clear & it finally is after 9 months of using BP. My skin has been clear for months now with an occasional pimple maybe once a month or so. When I first started the regime I used one full finger lengths of product & it did not cause any irritation or redness. The first day I used it this pimple that had been under the surface of my skin for MONTHS came to a head. I knew from then that this would work for me. My skin only got better, never worse. The only side effects was it was drying but nothing horrible like I have heard others say. I didn't even use moisturizer because I didn't think the peeling was that bad & I welcomed the new skin & I think the peeling helped fad scars. This has been an answer to my prayers. I had pimples everywhere on my face & used retin A but it was horrible for months before it got better & it was only clear for a year before the acne came back. BP was a lot gentler on my skin than retin A & my skin has never been this clear & nice in 9 years. The BP actually made my skin soft from the first day I used it & I started using the Aha+ a month after I started the regime & it has faded my acne scars so much! This stuff has helped me gain my self confidence :) I use to never want to look in mirrors & There was days where I would cry because my skin was so bad or I wouldn't want to leave the house. Now I feel & look great :)) I wish I found this stuff a lot sooner. I wish I could tell everyone about it because it's amazing!! I finally get to wear makeup which I never good because my skin was so bumpy i didnt even think off trying it because I knew it would look horrible plus my skin is so sensitive. Now wen I go somewhere special I can wear makeup. Bare minerals is a great natural brand that doesn't break me out of anyone is looking for a great makeup for acne prone skin. :) of u are thinking of trying the regime then please give it a shot & stick to it. I noticed changes slowly over time & by 2 months it was a lot better. At first I thought I don't want to wait that long for clear skin but instead of trying products that don't work or make acne worse u can be on the regime & before u know it u will have clear skin. No product will give u clear skin over night trust me, I have tried many things. It feels great to never worry about waking up & seeing a new pimple. Stick to the regime & I promise u will not regret it. I actually found the regime while I was researching reviews for a prescription drug my dermatologist prescribed me & it had bad reviews then I came across dans regime & I am so happy I did because that day changed my life :)

These products work. Been using this for the last 3 months and my acne has cleared. My skin did get worse and dry at first then it cleared. Since then its been really smooth sailing. I do get a pimple or two but it does not last more than two days. However, I am dark skinned so I have a lot of acne scars from years of breakouts. I have been using glycolic acid for a month but there is not much difference in terms of the hyperpigmentation. Overally for acne, this is the best I have come across.

I never take the time to review products online because it's so time consuming but since this product literally fixed my skin I feel the NEED to review it and urge people to try it! I've never really had acne problems. I had some acne here and there when I was a teen but nothing major. About six months ago I started breaking out badly. I never knew "adult acne" existed until it happened to me. My skin became a mess. I developed horrible acne all over my cheeks and chin. I was so very desperate to find a solution to this problem that I asked my friend how she fixed her life-long cystic acne. It was then that she recommended to me this product along with the AHA+. When I looked at the prices online I hesitated since it's pretty pricey but I was so desperate to get rid of my horrible acne that I decided to buy it and give it a try. The first two weeks I used it I honestly saw no difference; I continued breaking out. My friend and the reviews I read emphasized patience, so even though it was difficult I tried my hardest to not give up. After about a month of using it I FINALLY stopped breaking out. No new pimples were coming out and the pimples that I had were quickly disappearing. It was at this point that my skin started drying and peeling horribly. No matter what moisturiser I tried, nothing seemed to stop the drying and peeling. Yeah, I had no more breakouts but my skin was peeling way too much. I was about to give up on the product when my face suddenly stopped peeling. It is now two months since I started on this product and a month since I started on the AHA+ and I could not be any happier! My face is finally break-out and peeling FREE just like it was prior to developing adult acne :) Bottom line is this product REALLY WORKS! I followed all of the Regimen steps meticulously (though I used my own face wash and moisturiser) and it fixed my skin! Use it in combination with the AHA+ and it's even better! Don't let the price of the products or the negative reviews discourage you. This treatment really works! It truly is worth your money. I will definitely repurchase.
