Pros:

It has cleared my acne (although not entirely, but from severe to light acne, still amazing nonetheless)
Large amount
The gel form is easy to apply.
It dries quickly.

Cons:

For some reason, after using it for so long, I can use this BP like a moisturizer. Weird right? I know.

It sucks hard if you misapply this on sensitive areas. The BP used to (oddly) dry the skin area to the immediate right of my lips.

Anyways, when I first started off with this BP, things went only moderately well. There was no immediate skin renewal, no insta-scar-b-gone. But, actually, now that I think about it, I'm glad I stuck with this treatment because one's skin can only heal so quickly over time. So over the course of a year, I gradually went from severe facial acne to light. My skin's way smoother than before, plus, it's somehow gained an anti-BP-dryness ability. lol.

Pros:

Clear skin for the first time in 10 years!

Cons:

Time consuming
Pump broken in shipment
Wrong directions on number of pumps to use

I first read about the Regimen several years ago. At the time my acne wasn't very bad - I was mostly concerned with a couple cysts most months. Long story short, my acne got much worse over the years (PCOS, I eventually learned) and I finally got fed up with my it during my second year of university. At this point I hadn't worn my hair pulled back in literally years trying to hide some of the spots and scars on my cheeks. I was right on the verge of asking my doctor for anti-androgens, but I didn't want to be tied to taking a pill for the rest of my life just to control my acne - not to mention that if I ever did manage to get pregnant with PCOS, I would have to stop taking it and back would come the acne. I also considered using progesterone, which is what my endocrinologist initially suggested, but stopping birth control wasn't on my to-do list. Desperate, I was reading the forums and was reminded of the Regimen. BP had worked okay in the past (at 10%) but my skin was always dried out. As literally a last resort I started the Regimen and... go figure, clear skin. It took a few weeks for the moisturizer/BP balance to work out, but now I am clear and hopeful, and I've worn my hair pulled back every day this week. The only complaints I have are that I received one of the old style pumps with my first order, but instructions to use 3 pumps. Eventually I figured out what the problem was on Dan's blog, but I was pretty confused for a while there. I wish the BP would ship with a regular cap on the bottle and the pumps would be wrapped in bubble wrap or something. Not only because they crack, but because they are really hard to travel with if you don't want BP getting squeezed out all over your clothes or whatever you happen to have packed near it.

Pros:

Clears Acne
Powerful
Goes on Clear

Cons:

Really dried out skin at first
The price after shipping and tax can get pricey!

I tried a lot of acne products including Proactiv, Retin-A, Neutrogena On the Spot Treatment, Doxcycline and SMZ/TMP pills, etc. and this product has worked the best for me. Proactiv was one of the first products I used that contained benzoyl peroxide and it dried me out and caused my skin to itch, a lot. I guess I wasn't used to BP then. Neutrogena On the Spot Treatment worked well but there were still recurring pimples, maybe because it was harder to spread the product around on the face. Retin-A wasn't the miracle I hoped for since I was still breaking out, quite a bit. And, finally, I landed upon this product, which has helped me clear up a lot. I'm slowly, but surely becoming more and more comfortable with how my skin looks and it's thanks to this product!

Pros:

The best benzoyl peroxide gel I have ever used.

Cons:

None.

At night, I cleanse with one pump of Serious Skin Care's Daily Ritual Cleanser, massage gently for one minute, rinse, pat dry and gently apply one pump of Dan's 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. In the morning I again cleanse with the Daily Ritual Cleanser, rinse, pat dry and apply Seban Liquid (for oil control) by Copperlabs gently with a cottonball. I am now 40 years old and in the past I have tried everything to clear my skin and control my extremely oily skin. I have been doing this skincare routine for 2 years now and my skin is still clear, eventoned and oil free. Thank you Dan for your benzoyl peroxide. It really is the most gentle and effective benzoyl peroxide I have ever used. I won't use anything else!

Pros:

Clear and easy to apply
Very gentle compared to other BP treatments
Has reduced cystic acne
Clearing lots of clogged pores
Fading scars from recent cysts
Evening out skin tone and redness - despite the acne, I feel comfortable walking around the house without makeup on in the morning

Cons:

Requires patience - takes time!
Not a miracle cure, of course
Makes skin worse before it gets better

I used this several years ago when my acne first got really bad (in my early 20's). It really cleared up my skin and I honestly don't know why I stopped (maybe because I ran out and my hormones and stress evened out for a while). Now I'm in my mid-twenties and my breakouts started getting really bad after I started a very important medication a few months ago. Since I didn't want to stop the medication, I turned to acne.org again and am confident I will have clear skin again, with a little work and patience!

Pros:

Everything Positive

Cons:

Nothing Negative

It's official, Daniel Kern was sent from Heaven to stop acne once and for all. He did just that. This product, this regimen WORKS! I used it for 1 year and then it stopped working but I believe it must have been because I was getting sloppy with the applications and such (also I was stressed over many things which could have contributed to the acne a little). So I went to a dermatologist for almost a whole year getting prescribed the most expensive garbage ever basically wasting my time. I decided to give the regimen one last try to relive my great acne free year and now it's been 4 days....my face went from 9 pimples to 2. It's working again because my face has not been this clear since the last time I was on the regimen. You wanna try this? DO IT. Do NOT hesitate, this will be the best decision you have made. If it stops working then you may wanna see if you're doing something wrong or what is going on in your life and hold it out, it could work again as it has for me.

Pros:

-dries face (great if you have super oily skin like mine)
-shrinks pores
-gets rid of blackheads
-cleared face
-restored skin color

Cons:

-super drying at first to where you are flakey
-may make your face red at first too

this treatment is amazing. I have tried sooooo many things and keep getting dissappointed. Topical: Differin, Ziana, Tazorac, Benzaclin, Aczone, Avar Oral: Trimethoprim, Doryx, Minocycline I was on Differin and a sodium sulfate gel with Solodyn and all it did after 3+ months was make my face super oily, have humongous pores with blackheads, huge cysts in my cheeks and jawline. I saw the BP treatment and thought what the heck I have nothing left to lose. My face dried overnight and after a week the large zits in my cheeks and jawline stopped coming and had almost completely vanished, my pores shrunk at least 5 times smaller than they were before and all the blackheads I had were completely gone. At first I had really dry dry skin to where it was super flakey but I would take dry skin over zitty, oily, huged pored face anyday. The moisturizer and AHA fixed that really well. I have never seen something work so fast and so productively in all the years that I have had acne:) amazinggggggggggggggggggg. seriously.

Pros:

Goes on smooth and clear, with no residue. Once your skin adjusts to it, it actually feels quite nice putting it on. Oxygenates the skin to prevent new pimples from forming, and heals up existing pimples faster.

Cons:

Can be drying in the beginning. If you have sensitive skin, you should start out with a once a day application, and then bump it up to twice a day once your skin adjusts.

Nothing I have ever used to treat my acne has worked so well. The only other thing that I ever used that got me completely clear was Retin-a, which decided to stop working for me a few months ago. I was breaking out like I wasn't even treating my acne at all, and the stuff was far too expensive to keep buying if it wasn't going to do the same job it did before. I started using this stuff, and after a little over a week, my skin is completely clear and smooth. All I have left are my scars, but I'm okay with that. I'm still getting used to be able to wash my face without pain, and I'm actually comfortable not wearing any foundation! Truly a wonderful product. The key is to just remember to be patient, as the adjustment period of your skin and how fast it clears up is different for each person.

Pros:

-It really does work!
-NO more pimples (Perfect Skin)!
-Marks are fading!

Cons:

NOTHING!

-The ONLY acne regimen that has worked! People, listen to me, I'm the PERFECT example of someone who has tried EVERYTHING (Birth Control pils, all type of Anti-biotics, Accutane, diets, natural remedies)! Nothing has worked until NOW! I was very skeptical about Dan's regimen, but decided to try it after reading all the wonderful reviews. For those of you who have not had positive results, I'm sorry (it could be that you're either allergic to Benzoyl Peroxide or it simply has no effect on your type of skin). -Dan, I want to THANK YOU! As a fashion model, my stuggle with acne became intolerable since everyone expects that I be/look PERFECT. Now, I do NOT have to worry about acne! Thanks so much for this WONDER! -For all of you who are skeptical, scared, worried about trying the regimen, give it a shot! You have NOTHING to lose and EVERYTHING to gain!

Pros:

good price (college student)
doesn't smell bad.

Cons:

none.
a little drying, but that's what BP is suppose to do!

i have mixed-dry-oily mild acne. This BP works better than the proactive repairing lotion (which i used for 6 years!). i decided to switch to this product because i felt that i deserved more consistent results than what proactiv was giving me. I recommend this to anyone who was once religous with proactiv, but is ready for a change. It's worth a shot, it seems to be working for me!
