Pros:

It's fast acting and really heals

Cons:

It burns like a B---H

It's really great. I wash my face at night, and tone it when I have time, and smear the classic white whitening overly minty colgate stuff on my face and the next morning, A. all of the toothpaste is still there, and B. when I wash it off, my acne has shrunk a phenominal amount. It does work. You just need the white classic thick chunky toothpaste. The only downside is the first 20 or so minutes it really does burn/sting/tingle, and if you plan to go to bed right away GOOD LUCK. Wait for your face to absorb the minty-ness and then pass out :)

Pros:

None.

Cons:

I used Colgate Total for about an hour. It felt like it was working but when I took it off it burned my skin. Not just a little redness but dark red burned look. Its been two days since and its improving very slowly.

I wouldn't recommend using Colgate Total. I talked to my aunt who has acne problems she said there are only certain types of toothpaste to use. She suggested to use toothpaste without a bleaching agent.

Pros:

Minty fresh?

Cons:

Doesn't do anything for me but make the pimples dry up a little. Itchy.

I tried this a few nights and really saw little to no improvement in my acne. I usually get yellow heads or under the skin bumps and heard about trying toothpaste. So I did a generous dab to spot treat my acne spots and it really did nothing but get things sticky and itch.

Pros:

It dries pimples up sometimes

Cons:

You have to put it right on the pimple and not just rub a big glob all arount it. If you put it where you don't need it, it can dry up the healthy skin and leave a mark that looks worse than a pimple.

Try just buying a few different products from stores, then go to a dermatologist if nothing works. If you have a few days where you aren't really going out anywhere special, experiment with it a little, and start conservatively and see how much you can use. If you think it works for you, use it when you really need to, and don't use it daily. I used it twice. The first time, it made a slight effect on a pimple, but nothing major. The second time it left a painful spot of irritated skin, because I spread it around the spot instead of only right on it. My advice is to try it if you just can't get anything else to work. Once you notice a problem, stop using it and go to a doctor for help. I haven't used it since it left that mark. I think the best idea is to buy an acne solution, and if you're not happy with the results after 3 or 4 weeks, just go to the doctor. They'll figure out what kind of skin you have, and they will know what is needed to fix it. It smells good, but can be risky.

Pros:

Feels tingly, refreshing at first

Cons:

After a while it starts to sting and your instincts start begging you to get the stuff off your face.

Well, this is only the second time I've used it ever and both times nothing came of it for me, though I refuse to sleep in it because of what it does to some people. However, I have a friend who swears by it and you can visibly see the results on her. I guess it just depends largely on your own skin.
