Pros:

good for using as a mouthwash not acne

Cons:

-generated the worst breakout ever
-clogged pores
-causes acne inflammation

i tried this stuff reading all the good reviews online. i bought the 100% pure tea tree oil from amazon. so i diluted it 3/1 ratio of oil and water because this is a potent oil. it will literally burn your nose hairs off. anyway, i decided to spot treat on a couple of pimples that were premature and underdeveloped. in just a few hours, it literally transformed my zits into monsters..big, painful, red, inflamed, infected and embarrassing. it didn't even come to a head until i put NEOSPORIN on them. that was a lot of fun popping those beasts :( it's been a week and i'm now coping with the aftermath. to be honest, it could be looking a lot worse. i'm very grateful to come across neosporin (cream). it definitely helped expediting the healing process. what did i learn here? tto did not work for me because i'm sensitive to putting on oil pore clogging substance on my FACE.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Didn't work as spot treatment
Poor smell
Expensive

Unfortunately for me, I used this when I was still trying to find an OTC treatment for my acne. I know it works in some people and they swear to it, but it simply didn't work for me. I used it as a spot treatment continually for about 3 weeks and did not see an improvement in the time or the severity of the acne. I think this just shows how everyone's skin is a little different and what works for some is a huge disappointment for others.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Didn't help acne, but created new red bumps and dry patches.

I think I'm allergic to this stuff, and it doesnt help with my pimples at all but makes my face covered in new ones. I used tea tree oil a month ago and it did alright but it didnt help my acne, but a week of using it made my face dry and I had huge orange dry patches on my face. It was horrible and after not using it for awhile, I thought I'd give it a go again thinking that I had just used too much. But the next day my face was itchy and covered with small red bumps. My face looks horrible now, and I will not be using it again.

Pros:

heals poped pimples fast

Cons:

casues a lot of new acne to form in usual places...for example my forehead and near the top of my hair line.

I tried TTO oil for about 3 weeks and by the end of the 3rd week my face was by far worst than I started. My doctor said stop and use a Dove unscented soap bar and only wash twice a day....my face is actually clearing up. I would not recommend TTO for acne.

Made me break out worse than I ever have in my life

I tried this for a week instead of BP. I diluted it with grape seed oil, which doesn't clog pores. For the week I used it, my skin looked nice, no redness or anything, and only a couple zits as usual. But after a week started developing little bumps all over my entire face. It looks like every single pore got clogged and inflamed. I switched back to the normal regimen, but the bumps still have not gone away. I look like a monster. I even had to call in sick for work because I am so embarrassed. I HIGHLY recommend you test this product on a small patch of your face for at least a week before using.
