Pros:

-gets rid of inflammation
-makes pimples smaller after 2 days

Cons:

The only bad thing about it is that it dry's out your skin, but if you only put it on at night before you go to bed it will work miracles.

I used to use proactive and it only made my acne worse and i hate it..i returned it after 2 and a half months of use and got my money back. I HATE PROACTIVE. Then i went to a normal walk-in clinic and they prescribed me this miracle worker. I really started to see result after a week or so..i have been using it for 2 weeks now and i am getting more clear, and my skin has never looked so good. I only had acne on my cheeks and the odd pimple on my forehead and chin area, but now i'm gettin clear and im feeling more and more confident everyday. Please stick with this medication. Even though i haven't used it for as long as everyone else, i believe this will actually work and i couln't be happier!!:)

Pros:

It makes my pimples go away within a week

Cons:

It makes my skin pretty dry, sometimes irritated.

My parents are doctors so I get free samples all the time. I try everything - Clindasol, Retasol-A, Differin, and Stievamycin. The other ones are more mild, and I don't find do much to get rid of my acne, but I find that Stievamycin works by far the fastest!

Pros:

Clears up mild/moderate acne

Cons:

a bit of burning at the start of treatment, this can be thwarted by applying it less frequently than prescribed if burning/redness occurs. always check with your doctor before doing this though, there is a chance your acne could become worse.........

it works, apply as directed or less frequent than directed for only a little bit (use just a little amount a thin amount. so if the box says apply every night, apply it every other night if extreme burning/dryness happens to happen. if it doesn't improve, check back with your doctor. works excellent for me.

Effective..but a few doubts

Pros:

Definitely saw results over the course of a few months
Helped with hyperpigmentation
Relatively easy to use

Cons:

Very strong and irritating smell
Very drying causing burning and increases risk of sunburn
Studies have shown that acne bacteria is becoming resistant to erythromycin

I started getting moderate acne about a year and a half ago, mainly papules and pustules. I was completely devastated being especially because I'm in high school. I tried a few at home and over the counter treatments and for a while i used Clean and Clear's 5% Benzoyl Peroxide to no avail. I finally visited my family doctor who believed that antibiotics were most effective and started me on Stievamycin (Mild) with Tretinoin (topical retinoid) and Erythromycin (the antibiotic) after using Clindamycin (which was unsuccessful). It is a clear gel with a very strong alcoholic odour that stung my eyes when i put it on. I followed the instructions as usual but i also used an AHA toner at night to ease the severe scarring I had. I applied specifically on my cheeks where i had the acne. It definitely burned my skin a few times and made it very sensitive but i started seeing results around 5 months later. It is no miracle worker but it definitely helped stop larger acne lesions. I would get occasional breakouts consisting mostly of whiteheads and blackheads around my period but other than that my acne was relatively under control. My biggest mistake was definitely stopping using the medication because of the burning and dryness it gave my skin at that point because i completely ignored the fact that it is an antibiotic. My doctor didn't warn me to use it continuously. Studies have shown that acne is becoming more and more resistant to erythromycin and other antibiotics. My acne has returned over the course of two to three days but I am not sure whether the cause is resistance or other things that have been going on recently such as stress, poor diet and trying out new product (the least likely of the reasons listed). The retinol within the topical treatment was definitely beneficial to scarring and acne. I will test whether i have become resistant to erythromycin by seeing my doctor and going back on the treatment. When using this treatment be very careful when cleansing to not use anything overly drying. Overall it did significantly improve my acne for a period of time but my doubts are still at large.

Pros:

Cleared my acne to a tolerable degree.

Cons:

Still get acne, i'd say about half of what i got before, Redness (racoon eyes), peeling for about the first 4 days, very, very sensative to sun.

Works better for those with inflamitory acne or skin cell growth problems ( i on the other hand just have extremely oily skin), It made going out a bit easier but still got a fait bit of acne. Improvement is very slow. Used it for a little over 4 months

Pros:

Takes away pimple fast, noticeable results

Cons:

flakiness when used, scab

You'll notice results pretty fast, each day the pimple gets smaller and will disappear soon, but right now i have a small red mark where the pimple used to be and i hope it goes away soon

Pros:

Inexpensive, only needs to be applied at night-time, seems effective.

Cons:

There is an initial break-out/flare-up which is harsh.
Dries out your skin and makes it flake at first, but only for a week or so.

Definitely worth trying.

Pros:

I have faith in this product for some reason, the scars are going away, my face looks cleaner and the pimples I am getting now are very, very small

Cons:

Initial breakout, pimples in old clean surfaces of my face, flaky skin and dryness

I have been using it for 7 weeks now. Its kind of working but you never know with this. Some weeks I am very well and some weeks my face is a mess. I trust this product because of the reviews and I will tell you how is it after 10 weeks. (It is where I can see major results)
