Pros:

Almost clear skin after a few monthg

Cons:

The first 3 months were AWFUL my skin was worse than ever

I have been using this product since September last year. My skin was awful the first 3 months. I mean I broke out awfully but then afterwards and with a little faith im doing better now. My face is still kind of messy and and I still have 5-6 very, very, very small pimples every month. Its amazing they are so small you cant see them (but i feel them) anyways they told me after 6 months I will be doing alright. I hope everyone try this before Accutane its nto that harmful Cheers mates!

Pros:

Clears skin quickly and keeps it relatively pimple free. Because of the Vitamin A in Stievamycin it promotes newer skin cells to surface allowing a restorative effect to the skin.

Cons:

Dryness and burning. However, both can be easily combated by only using treatment every other day until you skin is less irritated.
As for the sun exposure warning, personally I did not follow this and experienced no additional side effects.

Stievamycin is one of the best choice for a long-term topical treatment. Although if you experience acne elsewhere than on you face Stievamycin is not a logical choice. Overall great product and I highly recommend it!

Pros:

Been using for one week, not so many "pros" yet.

I have noticed slight improvements in certain problem areas after 1 week of use.

Cons:

Dries & tightens your skin but my skin adjusted after a few days. First application was rough though! Can be strong for sensitive skin.

Very important to wash the medication off in the morning.

I'm curious to see the results after the 30 days I was prescribed it for. So Far, I don't notice any severe improvements but it is slightly & slowly working.it does bring out more blemishes in the beginning but I was warned about that from the pharmacist. My doctor said I should never put anything white (cream, lotion, moisturizer) on my face because I have oily skin and it blocks your pores. He said gel lotions are the way to go. This was news to me because I've been using lotion on my face all my life with no problems, weird. I've never suffered from acne besides the odd pimple here and there so I'm apparently going through adult acne, I'm 29. It's annoying! Started about 6 months ago. I'm only sharing all these details because I'm interested to see ff anyone on this board has just got acne in there adult years? I'd love to hear from you about any solutions or advice. thanks kindly!

Pros:

next best to accutane
will prevent new occurance
helps attack existing breakouts

Cons:

sun sensitivity
will still get acne but 25% of what I would with no treatment

I use the strongest strength - I tried everything incl accutane and accutane worked almost for 4-5 years .. then I strted breaking out again and I started accutane again but quit after 2 months as you need 4 to 6 months on it - after the 2 months and after I quit accuatane I started to break out again, badly - but I will avoid accutane due to side effects if stievamycin makes it managable - Ive been on 2 months and Im reasonably happy but I still usually walk around with a couple of 'doozies' on my face - where there is no acne, the skin and face look really fresh and alive but you must use the product in the areas you are susceptable to acne not just where and when you get the breakouts - Im slightly resigned that I may have to go back on accutane for the 6 months but if can avoid it I will - if I use nothing have bad cyctic acne - Im a 37 year old male - when it works, I am a looker - HAHA

Pros:

I have faith in this product for some reason, the scars are going away, my face looks cleaner and the pimples I am getting now are very, very small

Cons:

Initial breakout, pimples in old clean surfaces of my face, flaky skin and dryness

I have been using it for 7 weeks now. Its kind of working but you never know with this. Some weeks I am very well and some weeks my face is a mess. I trust this product because of the reviews and I will tell you how is it after 10 weeks. (It is where I can see major results)

Pros:

works well with my skin
clears acne
works better than drugstore products

Cons:

burns a little
flakes
hard to take off

I get it free because of my mom's healthcare from work. At first, it burned like a b!tch, after a while, your skin gets used to it and it doesnt burn anymore. It's working really well for my skin. I'm really glad that I went to the doctor to get it.

Pros:

seems to get acne under control

Cons:

makes u'r skin very flaky

i'm 22 and I've had to deal with pimples all my life...last year, i started using my mom's hydrocortisone and it made my skin beautiful, i didn't need to use any make-up. Suddenly, i broke out with severe cystic acne and NOTHING WORKED. My derm told me that i HAVE TO GO ON ACCUTANE, but becuz i had a planned vacation to southasia, he said i can start when i get back. When I came back, i still didn't want to go on Accutane becuz of all the scary stories i read, so I tried Smoothbeam ($500/session), i had two sessions and it DIDN'T WORK AT ALL. I then started self-diagnosing my self and learned that I had steroid acne (because of the hydrocortisone cream) and I had too much yeast on my skin. SO i started using NIZORAL as a facewash (read on steroid user's forumn) and Stievamycin and my FACE IS SO MUCH BETTER. Its been about a month since i started this regimen, and i won't say that its all gone, but CERTAINLY much much better!
