Cons:

Can see results

Pros:

easy to use
can see results after a few months
clears acne and acne scars

Cons:

increases skins sensitivity to sun

About 3 years ago my acne decided to flare up, and I was stuck with acne all over my face! After going to the doctor, she started me out on stievamycin on a lower dose and gradually built me up to a higher dose. Lets just say it got worse before it got better. However after 3 months of dedicated use I saw a huge difference. Now 3 years later, I'm only left with scars. Sure, I get a pimple here and there but nothing like I did before. Unlike other reviewers, I had no adverse side effects. My skin was rarely irritated/dried out (my doctor was surprised by how tough my skin was). I really do recommend this product as a topical solution, it is super effective and doesn't require too much effort. The only disappointing aspect is if I forget to put it near my hair line, acne will definitely show up. I think i'll be using this for many years to come.

Pros:

I saw changes within the first 2 days of use, many of my pimples were less red and smaller. I've been using it for 2 weeks now and I love that I'm seeing changes already.

Cons:

My whole face is peeling like crazy but now it's only my lower face (where my acne was the worst). It burns when I apply and even after, it has been so tight that I can't sleep.

I'm using NeoStrada Oil Free Gel Cleanser twice a day. In the morning I'm using Neostrada 8% Toning Solution mixed with 2% Clindamycin...then before bed, I'm using Stievamycin Forte 0.05%. I'm 31 years old and I've always had problems with acne. I'm loving this product so far. I have lots of acne scars and I'm hoping to see a difference with those as well (as I've read on this website). I strongly recommend this product to anyone that doesn't seem to find results in any other products they've tried.

Pros:

-Works really well; clears up acne, as it should.
-Does NOT hurt if used PROPERLY! Read the instructions, and DO NOT apply TOO HEAVILY!
-Is easy to apply, dries quick; best if used BEFORE BED!

Cons:

-Dries out the skin.
-Skin seems to become dependent upon it after extended periods of time.
-Doesn't start to work immediately, but time does help (and patience is of the essence!)

(DO NOT APPLY TWICE A DAY! Make sure your face is CLEAN, but make sure it's not RAW clean! Clean GENTLY!) I apply it to my WHOLE FACE EVERY NIGHT, because if I don't, my face starts to act up again. I have been using it since December, and MY FACE HAS CLEARED UP 100%, NO JOKE! Most of the people leaving bad reviews aren't using it properly, because it DOESN'T CAUSE ME PAIN ANYMORE! Don't apply it too heavily, though! A thin layer will do just fine! Besides the occasional PMS or stress pimple or breakout (which Stievamycin takes care of almost immediately), I RARELY get break outs! I had red sores ALL OVER MY FACE, and looking back, I wonder how I went out anywhere at all! The longer you use it, the better it works, so don't expect it to clear your skin as soon as you put it on. It took me 5 months to go from red, blaring skin to not even having to put foundation on anymore! It's definitely worth it, and I recommend it to everyone! (See your doctor first! It's a CHEMICAL! Strong, too!)

Pros:

I've suffered with acne my entire adult life and this is the only medication that has worked for me.Any pimple show up, GONE in three days!!!

Cons:

Depending on my facial cleanser, it can be very drying and I can have red patches in the winter(-50 with the windchill).

I have used this product for six years and will never give it up. Major plus is as you age, it can help with the wrinkles too!!

Pros:

Works Fast, easy to apply

Cons:

Makes skin dry

I started using this 4 days ago and I can already notice a huge improvement, it is such a relief. Stick with it guys, it does make your skin really dry at the beginning, so apply it at night and moisturize in the morning. Do not use a lot, just a thin layer. WOOT.

Very Effective

Pros:

Clears skin nicely
Moderately paced process
Use it before sleep

Cons:

Kind of expensive
It gets worse before it gets better

I had acne for as long as I can remember, I actually couldn't remember the last time I felt a smooth surface on my face. It got to the point where I wanted to ask my doctor what I could do to change this because I had already tried every cleanser, soap, natural remedy and diet change out there. I have combination skin (oily on t-zone and dry around mouth) so it was hard to find something suitable. My doctor recommended the regular (0.025%) Stievamycin gel and told me "It's going to get worse before it gets better" And he was right, because a week after I started applying it (every night before bed), my skin had been inflamed and it felt more painful to touch my face. After that short period of time, I noticed my skin getting clearer every day. It was a moderately paced process because I had been using it from mid-March to early-June, but now my pimples are so small and unnoticeable. All thats left now is scarring It did dry out my skin, but now that I don't get as many pimples, I use it every other night and use a moisturizer every other night. I know the pain of living with acne, therefore, I would highly reccomend this to anyone because it worked great for me!

Pros:

-got rid of discoloration left by previous acne
-no breakouts after 6 weeks of usage
-pores tightened up (visible difference friends and family said)

Cons:

-very dry and flaky skin
-initial breakout
-have to keep using it!

It works like a charm. Used it for 2 years before and stopped but have started to use it again! I think I'm just going to keep using it now cause I trust it and I'm sick of dealing with blemishes. I'm also currently on Diane 35 (another charmer) and apply the mild steivmycin every night. I use neostrata cleanser, toner, and mosturizer before bed...in the morning I just rinse off the medication with warm water, scrub any areas which are really peely, apply toner and put on tons of mosturizer. I exfoliate with Queen Helene's mint julep scrub and Alba's papaya enzyme mask once a week (found in health food stores). This regime works very well for me and helps with the inevitable dryness. The dryness is a bit of a pain cause it takes me longer to get ready in the morning applying makeup and all....but my clearer and radiant skin makes it very worth it.
