Diane-35 : Oral Contraceptive

Now I unfortunately have to stop, since I plan to get pregnant... and I know the acne will come back.

So ive only been taking this pill for a month so theres no noticable difference in my skin but im sure in two more months my skin will clear up. I did have some mood swings which ive never experienced during pmsing but it was nothing unmanagble. BUT ive read these reviews and I honestly think alot of them are extreme reactions people have. I was terrified to go on this because I thought I would gain 30 pounds instantly but with a 1500 cal diet and excercise I was fine. I think its alot more likely for people who had a bad outcome on this pill to complain rather than come on here and say how great it is. My recomendation is to just try the pill for yourself to see how YOUR body responds rather than making a decision based on reviews of others

I used this drug for over 5 years, I love it. Please remember- it works differently for each person. It worked well for me. Never experienced any depression, headaches or any bad side effects. The only thing was the very first time I started taking it, my breasts felt tender and grew 2 sizes bigger, but I was quite happy about it. Just remember it takes about 5-6 months when your spots will start disappearing , oh what a fantastic feeling! I never had any hair loss either.After stopping Diane-35 I had to cancel all the things that caused my acne-just in case.Because you have spots because of what you eat( in most cases).So, i had to stop eating all the sweets, my favourite cakes, bread, pasta, salty/ spicy food. But it was quite difficult, my spots were back several months later and I went back to Diane 35. And they are gone once again...

I went on dianne about 5 years ago for my acne. i dont remember how fast it took to clear it up, but it sure did make a differance. I was diagnosed with depression in march/09 and my dr switched me to yaz because dianne may have been contributing to the depression. since i have gone off it, i have had nothing but breakouts, once in a while my skin clears up for a day, maybe 2 if im lucky. i stopped taking yaz as it was doing nothing for my skin, i am no longer on antidepressants and am making a dr. app to go back on dianne. i go to the gym regularly and that is a natural anti depressant so as long as i keep that up, eating healthy, and doing things i enjoy, the depression should stay away (fingers crossed). i have tried every kind of skin care line and topical treatments out there and nothing has ever worked like dianne. the simple pop of a pill daily works for me! you have to be patient and give any new type of medication months to start to work their magic, nothing happens over night

I had moderate to severe acne on my face, chest, and back. I was on diane 35 for about 10 years, and i thought it was about time to come off of it seeing as tho i was 24 at the time (and i thought i had already had grown out of acne). Well boy was i WRONG!! i broke up sooo bad 3 months after and my skin has never been the same. 2 years later, I've tried everything to get my skin clear without using bcp's with no luck. i've used every skin product out there and i'm seriously considering getting back on diane. but i haven't conceieved either yet so i'm trying to decide whether my skin or a baby is more important to me right now....

I am taking Diane 35 Daily together with Duac Gel for almost three months now and it looks like it's working, because my face looks - this last three weeks - better than it looked this whole year.

i'm taking diane for 1 year and i have no more acne and my blood test were good, nothing wrong so i'm lucky :D

I had horrible acne, my face was covered, I mean I had 5 to 10 big red painful spots all the time. From when I was thirteen until I started this pill (i am 20 now), and i cannot even count how many products i tried. The first couple months i didn't notice much change, but now i have been taking it for about 6 months and i haven't had any thing, except for those pesky red scars which will take a while to heel as i have very fair skin. This is the first week since i discovered concealer that i have had the confidence to leave my house without makeup on. As for blood clots, this is an issue with most forms of birth control, but my doctor just had me get a blood test before i started this medication to see if blood clotting would be an issue, luckily it isn't. I read the other reviews on here before i started this medication, but so far i am just glad to finally be able to jump in a pool without worrying about my makeup coming off. P.S. I started taking Diane 35 a couple of years ago and I was amazed at how quickly my skin cleared up - maybe a couple of months. I was taking it for a combination of acne and folliculitis, and my skin was so crazy I didn't even want to go out in public sometimes - I even called in sick at work once in a while if it was really bad. I was in my mid-thirties and had had great skin all my life and then SUDDENLY got this weird acne, and I was very self conscious about it. I tried all kinds of treatments for it - laser, antibiotics (both oral and topical, for the folliculitis as well as acne) but in the end NOTHING worked except for Diane 35. I stayed on it for 6 or 8 months, and I'd say the effects lasted for a year or so, after which my skin got slowly worse, and now I'm back on it. Right now I'm in the phase where my skin is pushing all the gunk to the surface, so I'm getting little painful whiteheads all over the place - even my back, where I don't normally get zits. Hopefully it will clear up soon! I feel very pukey, but it's worth it. I didn't get the weight gain that a lot of women do, but I work out a lot. If I start to gain weight, I'll exercise more, or I'll even put up with the extra weight. Who's prettier - a pudgy woman with great skin, or a skinny hardbody woman with bad skin? I think that whether you gain weight or lose it, whether you experience hair thickening or loss... all depends on your hormone balance you start with. Women who gain a ton of weight probably end up with estrogen levels that are much too high, whereas women who don't probably have acne caused by excess androgens, and Diane 35 balances them out nicely. (I gave this a 5 out of 5 despite the nausea - nothing is perfect, and women have to suffer to be beautiful.)

I even suffer from chronic migraines and was worried that this would make them worse because other people were reporting that it gave them migraines but there was no change. My acne cleared up pretty quick and was gone within about 4 months. My periods got so light they were practically non-existant. I took this for about 9 months, then my dr switched me to a low-estrogen pill about 2 years ago. After being off for about 6 months I got a little bit of acne but then it worked itself out. Now I get a pimple or two once in a while but I'm pretty clear most of the time. If you dr will give this to you - I highly recommend it since accutane never even got rid of my acne but this did!!!
