Diane-35 : Oral Contraceptive

hi, I am about to start my diane 35 tomorrow, i am trying to find out if this drug is really good for the health. I don't have acne or pimples. My skin is fine, what i am worried about is the side effects that will occur once you stop using it. I use this drug just to regulate my menses. I am advised by my doctor to use it for 3-6 months, but i am planning to use it for only 3 months. I have read all of the comments that once you stop using it, it will make your skin worse, and you will have severe acne. I am so worried about the severe acne. Can anyone please give me some advise if this drug is worth a try? I am not planning to use this drug for the rest of my life.

This pill is truly toxic. I would strongly recommend against using it. I am currently on my third attempt to stop and I am experiencing major depressive symptoms for approx. 2 weeks before my period. This is completely out of character for me - I have never experienced PMS or depression before. If you are considering using this pill, research the potential side effects on the Internet beforehand. Do not rely on the advice of your doctor, in my experience they have no understanding of the true effects of this drug and their eagerness to prescribe it suggests there are external incentives for them to do so. Despite my symptoms, I have made a commitment to never use this drug again, and I can only hope that with time my body will return to normal.

I was on Diane-35 for 3 months before I went back to my doctor and asked to be swapped onto Yasmine. It worked for my skin, which continued to clear up once I had changed onto Yaz. However, it made me awfully moody. I would cry over nothing and I was never in a good mood, I felt awful all the time. My boobs definitely grew a lot! But then again, I gained a bit of weight all over.

Hi Ladies I have been using this pill for 5 months now. For the first month I did'nt see any changes to the acne until second and third month which were the worst. The acne worsened during those two months, cystic pimples which were red and puss filled were all over my chin and jawline. Not forgetting the scarring that came with those cysts. I was so tempted to ditch this treatment and look for an alternative therapy. But due to reading a lot of posts with similar stories, I was hopeful that maybe I needed to give the diane a little bit more time. Its not until I hit the end of month 4 mark did I start seeing some clearing on my skin. Its now end of month my and I am completely clear. So one needs to be very patient with diane, clearing of the acne takes a while. But its worth the wait.

It took 6 months for me to become clear on this medication, and the only way for it to keep working is to keep taking it. I gained 30 pounds, and my breasts grew MASSIVE!!!!!!!! But in a very uncomfortable way! They had big hard cystic lumps in them and were super painful for the entire year I was on diane 35, the breast pain would wake me in the middle of the night and they hurt every time I rolled over because the lumps in them were tugging my breast tissue. I also had bad constipation and heart palpitations from the medication too. I kept taking this medication because I had suffered from severe acne for 8 years and nothing ever worked to clear my skin. The cyperatone acetate in diane-35 is breathtaking at preventing acne and I was really emotional when I decided to stop taking it because I kissed my clear skin goodbye within a month of quitting diane. But the side effects were terrible for my health and I had to put that first over clear skin. What I have had good luck with now in clearing my skin is one course of accutane about a year ago NO SIDE EFFECTS and now continuous birth control paired with spironolactone for maintenance ;) Haven't had a problem with this yet

i have been on Diane for exactly a month now, i had really bad acne as a teen my doc put me on BC and just like that it was gone however all the side affects were too much for me, so i stopped for a few years. Now i'm back on Diane after reading about what it can do for the skin but i'v had such a huge break out my skin has never looked this bad!! i'm hoping that this is just for the first month or two of using this product and that it will start clearing up soon. I'll carry on using Diane for a few more months to see what happens and because Rome wasnt built in a day....so i'll let you guys now how it turns out.

I am from Kenya and i was recommended by my gynecologist to use Diane 35 and from the firs week i saw a change my skin was not spotted anymore and now i look great.i gained too much weight tho although i tried not to eat much.i don't know what to do about that.but anyway it worked.there should be an awareness of the product here with people like me saying that it woks.

I have been using it for 2 yrs now and i came off about 3months ago because it was making me miserable.. and my sex drive have increased while was on it which i love..i went to my doctor and found out what i was doin wrong,..i took it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning, apparently it is suppose to b taken with meals...so i am giving it another try. I believe its goin to go well. So if u are experiencing problems that could b the reason
