Pros:

None that would be worth using it for.

Cons:

Depression, mood swings, ZERO sex drive, dizziness, breathlessness, chest pain, bloating, weight gain - where do I end?

DON'T TAKE THIS PILL. It almost ruined my marriage! I have never had acne. My doctor in Europe prescribed this pill as a birth control. I was never told it was an acne treatment! I was on this pill for 10 years. The first few years I didn't have any problems. Then I started getting more moody but haven't noticed it, then the sex drive went down and to make long story short-I was sitting on the couch crying for no reason when my husband asked me why I was crying and I didn't know. That's when I realized that something was wrong. You are probably thinking why I didn't do something about it earlier. That's what is killing me- the changes didn't happen right away and all at the same time but rather over years one adding to another until it snowballed. I stopped the pill 2 months ago and I can't believe that all the symptoms just disappeared. I can't believe I didn't figure it out before!

Pros:

I can't see anything yet on my skin, but i do not experience menstrual cramps.

Cons:

upset stomach, nausea, headache

i haven't gotten any weight gain as many experience. This is my 3rd month of taking diane. however, i noticed that my acne worsened. I am so worried because im up for job interviews this month and i don't want to attend interviews with a really bad breakout... i use it with Proactiv. please let me know if i need to stop taking diane? or is it normal to still have this breakout although i am already taking it? i am a little confused

Pros:

Skin is less oily

Cons:

Weight gain, headaches, itchy skin, mood swings, very irritable :S

I'm not usually sensitive to pills but this did NOT agree with me. I would not recommend it to anyone who is sensitive to antibiotics or any drug. There is nothing Diane 35 has that an antibiotic hasn't provided in the past...

Pros:

bigger boobs

Cons:

pimples, depression, lowered sex drive, blood clot (according to what I've researched)

I am using Diane 35 about a week now. I used Melaine before I switched to Diane 35 because I got pimples using Melaine. According to my OB Diane 35 would lessen the pimples that I have (which actually caused by taking Melaine) so she adviced me to take the said pill. Unfortunately, I am still getting pimples in this pill. It did clear my skin :( Should I stop taking it or should I still continue it until 3 months (hoping it will work)?

Pros:

cleared skin, birth control and lighter periods

Cons:

absolutely no sex drive, extreme depression and really dry skin

I have been on Diane 35 now for six months and it just seems like the side effects are getting worse. I have no sex drive anymore which for me this is not normal. Also I could not explain why I was always feeling so down. I would cry at anything and I had absolutely no motivation to do anything. I could just stay home and sleep or cry. Also I could snap in an instant and be really angry. This week has been really bad that finally today I said I have to figure out what is wrong with me. My aunt suggested to me that maybe it was my pill and that I should research it. Wow I cannot believe how bad this pill is. So many woman experience these same side effects. Alot of woman were even having suicidal thoughts which is crazy. I have also learned that Diane 35 is banned in some countries. I have decided today that this is not the right pill for me. I am going to stop taking it today. I can't wait to start feeling like myself again. Please think it over before you start this pill.

Pros:

I only had very very mild acne. But all of my friends were on this pill and looking great so I decided to give it a try. It didn't do much for me- I attribute my clear skin to Benzoyl Peroxide

Cons:

Don't want to come off of it and end up looking like a Pizza

What it does currently and what going off of it can do make this pill VERY addictive I would not recommend going on it unless your condition is severe Doctors hand this out like there's no tomorrow which is fine for me now, but I only wish they'd questioned me before allowing me to commence taking this pill

Pros:

Haven't seen any yet. I'm taking them to clear my unwanted facial hair and because I have polycystic ovaries. (I don't have acne)

Cons:

Had abdominal pain the first week. Bloated. Boobs grew. Liquids retention. Tired, sleepy. Weight gain.

I've been taking Diane 35 for 2-1/2 weeks. Not sure if I want to keep going on. I used to take it when I was 23 (now 33) and the side effects weren't that bad back then.

Pros:

Cleared my teenage acne after a couple of months (however it was not severe so it seems now I never should have been prescribed this in the first place).

Cons:

Depression, panic attacks, severe anxiety, fatigue, moodiness, lack of self esteem, IBS, spider viens and no sex drive at all.

I was put on this pill as a 14 year old due to mild acne. As I had no side effects that I noticed early on I was told to continue using it as birth control. I am now 28. Over all this time no docter has ever mentioned that it was unsafe for long term use. I now find out that its not even FDA approved as a BCP in the US, with links to liver cancer and blood clots. I'm terrified that I've been taking this for nearly 15 years. I'm scared to come off it due to everyones reports of more horrible side effects, but theres no way I want to keep taking it. Not even sure my hormones will ever balance themselves naturally again after all this time. DO NOT take this pill, I wish I never had. If you have bad acne try a healthy diet or natural remedies. This will change your life in a very BAD way and its hard to go back.
