Pros:

-shorter,weaker periods
-acne loss

Cons:

-may cause over dry skin (use more moisturizing cream)
-when you stop with therapy acne will return
-may cause severe side effects if the therapy is not suitable for your hormone levels

Diane 35 affects testosteron receptors in your skin.Ones with oily, acne prone skin have more of those receptors then ones with dry or normal skin. When testosteron bind to receptor, skin starts to produce sebum which becomes an acne. The pill blocks receptors therefore glands do not produce sebum because testosteron can't be bind.If you have a normal hormone levels (you probably have if you have regular menstruation cycle ) there are no side effects as nausea, weight gain, emotional affect as depression, mood swings, loss of libido. Those side effects come from higher level of estrogen in your body, plus more estrogen you take from the pill. Diane 35 work perfectly for me,because my first problem are testosteron receptors (not hormon levels). No weight gain, l got rid of new acne in 3 weeks, shorter, less painfull and bloody periods and I have bigger boobs (praise the estrogen :D). To girls with severe side effects I suggest test for hormone levels, and changing the therapy colsulting the dermatologist or gynecologist. Btw Avѐne TriAcnaél cream for local use works great with Diane 35 acne therapy ;)

Pros:

Lighter periods
Small pill - easy to take
Bigger boobs
Less oily skin
Clear face
No baby
Free to take with insurance

Cons:

Takes a long time to cause improvement
Sometimes causes leg and arm pains

I started Diane35 around the end of July and the first 3 months were brutal. It caused my acne to become completely out of control and it seemed like it wasn't working at all. But after month 3 my acne started to improve A LOT. I am now on month 5 and I rarely breakout. It's very exciting. The only thing that I did not like about this drug is how long it takes to start working. 3 months of hell is definitely discouraging and annoying, but knowing it will keep working until I stop taking the pill and I won't become immune, like fast acting antibiotics, makes it worth it.

Pros:

I have been on Diane for 3 months for contraception. It ha been really good for my skin, although its still not immaculately clear

Cons:

Dr told me to take the pill at night (I have been on other OCP's and always taken them in the morning)because Diane can make you feel really sick when you first start. I have had really dsturbed sleep since i started.

I am generally a happy and relaxed person, but cannot sleep! Is anyone else getting insomnia on this pill?

Wait for it!!
I started using this product 5 months ago. I had milde to severe acne on my cheeks and on my chin. My forehead was quite clear. First month was brilliant. No new whiteheads or pimpels at all. But then boom, month 3 was the worst. My face was covered in acne. I never had that much acne at once. One day I was losing hope but still hoped for a change. Then the end of month 4 was the time where my acne totally backed off. My skin started to improve so much, and I didnt worried about it at all. Now it's the ending of month 5, and my skin is better then ever. Still have to deal with some little scaring and redness, but acne is gone so far. You will still get some whiteheads around your period, that is pretty normal ever for a perso without acne. I can only say, that dont give up too soon. This is not a over the night product, it conteins hormons your body needs to get used to it.

PERSIST! All positives so far!

Pros:

Boobs grew 2 sizes
Happier/Positive Moods
Higher Sex Drive

Cons:

Initial break outs
Boobs are tender and sore (bearable)

I am currently beginning my second packet of estelle-35. I have had terrible acne for about a year now (progressing worse and worse) and finally my doctor prescribed me this certain pill. Safe to say I have had only positive things to say about this pill so far. My boobs have gone up a crazy 2 sizes which I am so happy about ha ha....as for my skin it is breaking out quite bad lately but am persisting with the product as I have heard it can take 3-6 months to kick in as for skin improvement. **DEPRESSION....i read these reviews before I purchased this pill and nearlly did not use this as for so many women saying that they had horrid mood swings and depression. I have so thankfully i tried it and I never been happier. I have struggled with depression for years and am so happy to finally keep my moods consistent and happier. Looking forward to seeing clearer skin...fingers crossed!

Pros:

reduce oil
reduce acne

Cons:

feeling thirsty
bigger boobs(?)

Hi girls, i tried doxycycline and erythromycin for 3 years, it worked for awhile, and the antibiotic doesn't work anymore. doctor reccomanded me diane35/estelle35, since it reduces oil. Im the lucky batch that estelle35 worked 2 days after taking. pimples are starting to clear with no new cystic ones popping out. face less oily, seeing hope on estelle35. only cons is i feel thirsty and bigger boobs so far. thirstiness could lead to weight gain, nt a problem for me because I'm underweight for now. goodluck!

Pros:

Cleared up acne
Bigger breasts (overall weight gain)

Cons:

Sensitive breasts
Overall weight gain (manageable)
Nausea when you stop taking them
High hormone content=emotional messes

I took this when I first started taking medication for my acne, which was nearly 7 years ago. At that age it affected me emotionally and when I stopped taking them for a week every month I would suffer drastic emotional meltdowns. Now that I am 23 and I need something strong again, I started taking it again and I have been far more able to control its side effects. I dont recommend starting off on this, but when you are older and more mature, it is much easier to handle and the payoff is noticeable after about 4-5 weeks.

Pros:

Clears face pretty well, Keeps mood swings under control

Cons:

Constant stomach cramps, takes a pretty long time to work, decreased libido.

This is the first product I have used that actually clears my skin, the improvement is slow, but definitely visible! Although stomach cramps are bad and it takes a long time to work, it's still good. I have tried everything from dove soap, to differing, to cetaphil, to prescription pills, masks, chemical peels, proactiv, nothing worked, but the Diane 35 does.

Pros:

less oily skin, no acne, almost perfect skin except for the pigmentation left from the old acne which is my fault for picking at them, breasts bigger and rounder(luv it!)

Cons:

slight tenderness in breasts

It has worked great for me. I don't have weight gain or increase in appetite. No mood swings or headaches. I don't see any reason why I should stop taking it unless I plan to get pregnant.
