Pros:

FLAWLESS CLEAR skin, no killer period pain (taking the yellow tab's non-stop without 7-day white tab's break)

Cons:

low libido, hair loss

I have had acne since I was a teenager (now 39yo), ending up on Roaccutane..which was effective. After having children all my acne can back and was now cystic and not just on my face but on my hairline, chest and back. Diane 35 began working after one month, and after three months I had flawless skin. i continued to take the product for the next five years, but noticed I was losing my thick curly hair. i have been off the product now for 1 year and my acne came back ferociously for the first six months but has since settled down. Although I have oily skin and hair now, the acne is most prevalent leading up to period...what I would like back is my hair thickness!!! Otherwise, I found Diane 35 to be highly effective for acne.

Pros:

Bigger Boobs, Contraceptive, (gradually) clearning up my skin

Cons:

Depressive - caused me to become antisocial, paranoid, loss of self worth

I have not noticed any weight gain. And I suffer from PCOS so I was prescribed diane mainly to treat my acne. I've been on it for 2 months and I have noticed that my skin has improved. However, it still has a while to go before my skin will be completely clear. I have active acne that is "deep", ie it has been there for a very long time. My doctor told me that skin takes a few months to completely heal so it will probably be 2-3 more months before my skin is completely clear. The only con is that it has affected my moods. I've become antisocial and paranoid.

Pros:

all pimples-GONE!

Cons:

mood swings, depression

For those who take diane only a few weeks and claim that it does not work, PATIENCE is the key. After 2 times failure of roaccutane ( which pimples came back even worse), I tried diane ( basically i just tried everything anyway). the first 2 months of diane was a very bad memory, but after 1 month that it cleared my skin significantly. My skin now glows and is so soft that i can't help touching it all the time. So just be patient friends! For those who have pimples again after stop using diane: My doctor prescribed me with diane 35 and minomycin. He said that when my skin is completely clear, I should stop diane and go on with minomycin for a few months to make sure that the pimples won't come back. I'll start using only minomycin next month. Good luck guys!

Pros:

Less acne
Smooth skin
Prevents babies!!

Cons:

Slight mood swings
Boobs grew a little

I was horrified after reading the reviews of this product on this website and when my doctor prescribed it I almost didn't try it because I was so scared. But then I figured almost thousands and thousands of women are using this pill over the world and these are only a few reviews. And most people are more likely to review a product if it did not work for them to complain, I know I have. Everyone's body is different and no one will have the same side effects. Its working for my acne and I haven't really experienced any negative side effects. I hope it works for you too! Any BCP can affect your appetite, some of my friends lost weight on it and some of my friends gained a little bit of weight on it. Bottom line is maintain a normal, healthy diet and exercise and don't smoke to prevent blood clots and keep the weight off. Anyways if you were SUPER frustrated like me with acne and want to be able to feel confident leaving the house without makeup and nothing else has worked then try it:)

Pros:

Baby smooth skin, no oilyness, clockwork menses, no significant weight gain.

Cons:

Tiredness, moodiness.

Worked brilliantly for acne for 8 years from age 20-26. My mother had acne well into her forties, so I knew that if I stopped, acne would came back. It did. Using it for acne and contraceptive now at age 31.

Pros:

Contraceptive, lighter and predictable periods, clear glowing skin, larger breasts

Cons:

It takes a long time to clear up skin - 4-6 months. Mood swings, increased appetite.

This worked wonders for my skin in the past. I took it for a year and then switched to Ortho Tri Cyclen and then stopped to have a baby. I have stopped breastfeeding and I have started taking it again. I love that it's a contraceptive as well as an acne treatment. Once my skin has cleared up I intend to switch to either Yaz or Jasmin which also contains an anti-androgen.

Pros:

Clear skin!

Cons:

Mood swings, headaches, sore eyes, dry skin, wrinkles.

For the first 3 months I had mood swings, sore eyes and headaches, but after my body adjusted it was worth it! I am so happy with the results. I have pretty bad wrinkles around my eyes now from the dryness of my skin, but nothing botox or a good wrinkle cream won't fix. Make sure you buy a really good eye cream before starting the tablets, I wish I did! I totally recommend you give it a try, and stick out the side effects, because they can get better in some cases, like mine.

Pros:

Absolutely beautiful radiant clear skin for at least 6 years! Regular periods with NO PMSing!

Cons:

Intense headaches, mood swings, weight gain, chest pains, and visual problems.

This pill worked great. I started it when I was 17 and stopped when I was 23 because I could not handle the side effects anymore plus I though I was "over" my acne. This pill has 4 times the risk of getting a DVT (blood clot in the leg) verse any other BCP. It is idiosyncratic meaning it can happen to anyone (no links associated with girls who died from getting DVT's). It is not approved for use for more than 3 month. In fact, there has been a warning for this product since 2003 from Health Canada and it is NOT approved for use in the US. This all made me realize something must be up and that I was going to get off it. Anyways, this stuff works great but eventually I decided I was harming my body and stopped. Unfortunently, I broke out again. Not as bad as before but enough for me to start researching again about what to do. I am now trying spironolactone 50mg per day and will see how that goes. I have to admit, this pill was amazing b/c NOTHING made my face break out on

Pros:

Vy good for clearing acne and smoothen skin.
Quick result (1 month)

Cons:

A bit too expensive and slight headache & gain weight.

I found that Diane 35 is perfectly good for solving acne problem that gives fast result. Besides, it helps smoothen my skin and improve my skin texture. However, I was made to understand that this product has to be discontinued after the 4th month. Is this true ? What is the effect if we continue even after that ? And, if we take a break after the 4th month, when can it be started back ? Perhaps not for acne but a better skin texture. I was actually very happy that I have found a good product that I do not wish to stop taking it.
