Pros:

Cleared up my face, bigger breasts.

Cons:

Really bad mood swings. Decreased sex drive.

Yes it does work but my moods were so altered it affected my relationship. I would get so insecure and angry about the smallest insignificant thing. I would cry, get mad, angry, irritable, sad, depressed, insecure any time of the day for no apparent reason, and this was towards my partner. I was a mess, still am, but i'm trying to fight it, because i've put my partner through sooooo much with these stupid mood swings sometimes it's just not worth taking the pill.

Pros:

skin is much less oily than it was before.

Cons:

large painful, cystic breakouts so far while using it. disfiguring scars from cysts.

so far i have only been using diane-35 for 1.5 months. my skin has been the clearest on this treatment during the seven day break from the medication. i have used proactive treatment and it worked wonderfully. however, i stopped using it because i have heard about the harmful long term effects of benzoyl peroxide. i began using arbonne clear advantage. bad idea. i did not have cystic acne before using the clear advantage 3 step system. i used it for a month and my acne developed so horribly i refused to use it any longer. now i am not sure if i didn't wait it out long enough or if i reacted to the products. i have started using proactive again along with diane-35. so far i have not noticed any major improvements but i will stick it out. the first month i did experience more cysts and more frequent break outs than i have during the second month. hopefully i can rid myself of this stubborn cystic acne.

Pros:

mild clearing of acne,

Cons:

weight gain, tiredness, moody, tender breasts,

Diane 35 only works wit some people. not all people can have the same reactions. my friend who is also on the same pill doesnt experience the side effects i have and her acne has cleared enormously..unlike mine which has only cleared a bit..

Pros:

acne starting to clear, bigger breasts, regulated faster periods

Cons:

slight weight gain,

pretty good i guess, first birth contrl i've used so nothing to compare it to. but no apparent negative side effects so far

Pros:

clearing my skin; much less acne and much less oily

Cons:

get quite depressed and cry a lot; freckle during summer as exposure to the sun; dry eyes

Been on Diane-35 for 2 years. It helps clear my face so it is smooth, only a 1-2 pimples a week before period and gone very quickly. However, I started experiencing depressive mood changes, mild headache, tiredness and freckle on face last year. No weight gained.I am thinking to ask my GP to prescribe me a lower dosage Yasmine, I hope pharmacies have it here in Oz.

Pros:

I've been trying everything for my acne problem.I was told to change my pill with Diana by my specialist.This is my 3rd month and my face is looking sooo good.

Cons:

However first thing it dries you out big time.I feel it in my hands and in my lips.But I use creams and whatever makes it softer.Secondly I wake up in the morning and no motivation for life.I cry for no reason!!Yes DEPRESSION!Thirdly I'm DD now!

I will be visiting my skin specialist this week for an alternative medication if there is one as good as Diane And Depression free! Cos it ruins your life,your relationship and your social life!Nothing exciting..I used to be very positive but now completely different.

Pros:

totally got rid of my acne

Cons:

i am bloated all the time, have constipation, severe mood swings

i'm 21, have had acne since i was 12, and i've been on diane for about 1 year. it's okay but i'm ready to try something else that will make me more emotionally stable. it's free on my work plan which is nice.

Pros:

Skin clears up after about 3 months. Lessens period pain, and PMS symptoms.

Cons:

You have to stay on the pill for years, and years. I have tried to stop, but acne comes back SEVERE, and has made me scar worse than before..:( Total loss of sex drive, mood swings, weight gain, loss of night vision, depressions.

I went on Diane 35 when I was just 15. I am 21 now, and I can't quit, becouse the acne keeps coming back when I go off it. I have scarred severely when off. I am now asking my doctor to go on Accutane...

Pros:

Shorter, lighter periods. Reduced oiliness in skin. Clear skin when on it for a long period of time.

Cons:

Takes about 5 months to start working effectively. Expensive if your not covered under a health plan. Acne comes back if you go off for a couple months.

I'd say it's a great treatment for minor acne. When it comes to people who have suffered with acne for years its not the best........it reduces oilyness but it didn't clear me up that well. I really recommend acutane, and for all of you that have hard the horror stories about it...its not that bad. Give it a try! IT'S WORTH IT!
