Diane-35 : Oral Contraceptive

I went on this pill for about 7 months, and it was an amazing pill, cleared my acne right up, but after I got off it when my skin cleared, within three months the acne came back! i got pimples on my forhead and t zone especially, and I never used to get pimples on my forehead, I'm definitely going back on this pill since my derm and my doc won't prescribe my accutane :(. I'm just starting my first pack again.. !

I tried other medications & they had worse side effects on me. so i guess it's the best of the worst to use. & use it if u really need it & see what side effects u get cz it differs from one woman to another. As for me, i really wish i could give up this med but it's kinda not appropriate for me.

I have only used this for a couple of weeks and so far its not too bad. The mood swings are a little much and a lot of people around me have noticed that too!

I love the way it worked for me, wonderful. I think that it is utimately more useful for those who know that their break outs ARE hormaonal. Anti-biotics were hopeless for my skin and my break-outs were monthly, whether i got a period or not! But it's all good now...

Ive had terrible acne since i was a teenager, but when i started using diane, I didnt expect it to work as i gave up on ALL acne products. but within a couple of months my friends an co-workers were commenting on my skin and how clear it's become! but of course, i gained 10 kgs in a space of just 2 months!! my advice is to drink plenty of water as the pill retains about 80% of water in your body.it didnt make me depressed at all because Im generally a positive person. bottom line: it cleared my skin!!!!!

I am on diane for almost 2 years.and have seen that i really get frequent mood swings which is really really bad sometimes.i will suggest someone to take this if skin is really bad with lots of hair and acnes for that it works ,better to go for lighter medicines then this.

I went on this after I found out Proactiv caused early aging, and had dehydrated my skin out to its ultimate potential. So far, I have been on it for 8 weeks and I love it. Diane 35, yes, it can cause blood clots. ** BUT SO CAN ANY OTHER BIRTH CONTROL PILL ** and if you are overweight or smoke it's going to make you more prone to getting a clot more than you were before. Obese people are already at high risk in the first place for getting a blood clot, even without the pill. So maybe, if you people lost some weight, you shouldn't have to be worried about it so much and blame your blood clots on the pill. PUT DOWN THE PIE!! Moving on: One thing I didn't like about this pill is the lack of energy that I have and it doesn't really help my cramping, which I thought it would. But it keeps my acne away 98% of the time, and that's the most important thing. No weight gain is a bigger bonus, probably because I actually watch what I eat :)

i'm very hapy for what it did for my skin. I am planning to go off it though b/c i need a better libido!!! I'm a newlywed (lol) and ya, I feel bad for my man. I'm worried though as to what my skin might go back to....? Anyone know another pill that helps to clear up your skin? I would recommed it though, especially if your not worried about your libido!

I have been suffering with cystic acne for over 4 years. I have been on every kind of oral antibiotic my derm. could think of. This is the only thing to work. I have just started my second pack of pills and not only are my BIG pimples gone, the little ones are getting better too. I still get the odd pimple but not like before. I got bigger boobs almost immediately and i have lost 5 pounds. Considering it was the holidays, the 5 pound weight loss is a lot. I only weighed 130 anyway.

I absolutely love Diane-35. From I was a little girl, i was always looking for a way to clear up my acne and make my periods more comfortable. These were my two life menaces. I couldn't even eat sugary fruits without it causing acne inflammation, and I won't even go into the real sugary stuff like candy. I know the packet now says that you should discontinue use after 3-4 mths after the acne has cleared, but I tried stopping when my mother discovered that it gave her high blood pressure, but the acne came back some months later. Differin gel is great topical treatment, but I need something internal. I'll have acne for a long time since my mom at 54 still has it. I don't know how I'll be able to give it up since it has helped so much, but I really do not want to experience high blood pressure or blood clots because of it. For now though, at 23, I hope the cons mentioned are the only ones I'll experience.
