Pros:

slight weight loss (water weight), clear skin, protection against pregnancy

Cons:

mild headaches first month..thats it!

i was on otc LO for about 2 years and constantly felt bloated and had break through bleeding. I went off the pill for about 6 months and decided to try yasmin despite all of these negative comments. So far so good! I started my 2nd pack last night.**With any birth control, they have a tendency to depleat essential nutrients in the body, such as b6 and b12,thus the depletion of these nutrients can cause symptoms such as depression and mood swings. I take a b50 complex in the morning and my pill at night. Taking b vitamins is good for all women, especially those on the pill as it often lessens the side effects that it can cause. I didnt do that when i was on otc lo and had many side effects but am doing it now on Yasmin and i feel great! Also, its best to wait out any pill for 3 months before giving up on it. Here is a link about the vitamins to take while on the pill : [link removed]

Pros:

lost 5lbs, never bloated!!!, not pregnant, get to skip periods, helps control oil and barely any outbreaks.

Cons:

taking a pill every day sucks

I love it! I'm using it with Sulfameth an antibiotic to treat acne and Nicomide (a vitamin used to treat acne) and a combination of all three medications is working wonderfully!

Pros:

Shorter & lighter periods
Weak menstrual cramps
Clear skin
No mood swings
No cravings
No swollen breasts
No pregnancies

Cons:

Some spotting before period during the first month.

If you are a healthy young woman (meaning you do not smoke, consume a lot of alcohol, and/or eat a lot of junk food) this pill could be the best one for you. These pros and cons are from my experience but remember; every pill affects every woman differently.

Pros:

Clearer skin, bigger boobs, lost weight (now 100 lbs :D), happy all the time, always want sex, really cheap with my student health insurance

Cons:

none.

I am taking OCELLA, the generic form of Yasmin. I was never on yasmin before, ocella is my first ever contraceptive pill. (from what I've heard, most ppl who go from yasmin to ocella experience breakouts). I am still on my 1st pack, 1st placebo week. Already skin is a lot better. Will post again next month for update

Pros:

been on it for a month and went from having painful nodular hormonal acne on the lower part of my face(about 20 pimples)and now have 3 tiny little zits that are ready to dissapear. red marks are slowly but surely fading = ] I've lost weight too!

Cons:

Nothing really. Clear skin is worth a few side effects. But so far I haven't experienced any. I've looked better than I have in a really long time

I haven't looked this good in a long time!I've been getting compliments constantly and I feel so much more confident.I want to add spiro with Yaz to raise my chances of keeping my face clear for long-term. I'm 18 but my face looks like how I did when I was 14. Amazinggg. I hope it stays this way. I've slimmed down and feel sooo good! Everyone has to find what works for them. Also, take an aspirin and put it under hot water, let it sit for a minute and then take it and spread it over your face-brings down inflammation and totally decreased the size of my pimples. My problem is totally hormonal so I'm taking action & I love it! I hope it continues to improve. I would totally recommend Yaz to anyone who is dealing with hormonal acne and Spiro to increase the results!

Pros:

Cleared up my skin 90%. Prevents pregnancy.

Cons:

Takes a few months to work

this DOES work. but you will only see results within 5-6 months. it's totally worth the wait. My acne is 'almost' non-existant. but i'm still on the search for something to get rid of the almost part. I mean my back still has acne. I would love a clear back. I bought Tanda Clear to help me but thats so expensive and time consuming. I dont know if it improves anything though. My back is better but i dont know if its the Tanda or just a clear period i get once in a while. If you have the money buy Tanda. worth the try.
