Pros:

cleared skin in less than a month
no side effects
less greasy hair

Cons:

none

I first tried dianette 9 years ago after having terrible skin for yrs. I had tried everythin else so wasnt expecting results but within 3 and a half weeks my skin was almost clear, I ws amazed and gutted that I had not tried this when I was 16 so I wouldnt have been left with any marks on my skin. I have been on and off it over the past 9 yrs, my skin becomes my greasy and spotty when I come off it but nothin even close to how it used to be. I was off it there for 6 months and developed back and chest acne which ive never had before so now im back on it for 2 months to clear it up before my summer hols. Last time when I switched to yasmin it gave me terrible break outs around my jawline so I had to go back on dianette to clear up the damage that yasmin caused. There may be higher health risks involved with dianette but they are small and im certainly willing to take them to have gorgeous blemish free skin!

Pros:

Was on dianette for approx 13 years, age 15 to 27 for bad acne, oily skin.Had a couple of breaks to see if skin improved, but never did.Skin was clear.Moods,my moods were worse when i had acne,so pills helped my depression.

Cons:

Put on a lot of weight, used to be slim, headaches, some very painful, water retention.Cannot stay on these pills forever.Last year doctor took me off them, saying possible risks of liver tumours if on them for long time.Bit worried as been on it a while.

Super results for very bad skin if on them for a couple of years. But if you are still prone to acne in your 20s to 30s the doctors may not let you stay on them long term.Doctor put me on Yasmin instead he said it was almost as good for skin problem as Dianette. Yasmin gave me headaches for a while but seemed to be working.I stopped taking any pills a couple of months ago and as predicted skin is oily and spots coming back.Don't think i will ever be free from skin problems. My doctor have never offered any alterative cause for acne and any mention of polycystic ovary and they aren't interested.

Pros:

clears up skin completely

Cons:

takes ages to work
makes you always hungry so you gain weight

I would say to anyone who is using this product to STICK WITH IT! I read alot of reviews that say this works after afew months but for me this took about 6 months but it is definitly worth the wait! Ive tried most of the other prescription pills & nothing else has worked as well as this. I now only get the occasional blackhead where as before i was getting new big spots everyday. You do gain weight on this pill as it makes you constantly hungry but its worth it as its alot easier to get rid of unwanted weight than it is unwanted acne! I would 100% recomend this!

Pros:

Cleared acne up completely!! Left skin feeling so smooth and I can use any foundation as my skin wasnt oily anymore, which was always a problem of mine! Regulated periods

Cons:

On some occasions it dries up my forehead, but a bit of moisturiser tackles that problem!

Great!

Pros:

absolutely amazing!!!! had loads of spots, went on diannette-stuck with it for tw months ish before it kicked in- have had no spots for 3 years-

Cons:

i came off it and my spots came back!!!!!here's what i do to keep them at bay....no contraceptive pill..perscription of Dalacin T topical solution(the lotion sucks)...easy to get, just ask your doctor. Then i brought 'panoxyl' (£3 online) really gr8

oh if you get spots on your chest/ back i find just daily wash with soap(not shower gel) sorts these.i recommend diannnette despite the worse spots afterwards- was worth the years of freedom and perfect skin!!!! i really recommend panoxyl cream- dries spot right up!!!!!!

Pros:

Clear skin, no period pains(and i used to get killer ones), i could tell nearly by the hour when my period was due and my periods were lighter. i also noticed an increase in my bust size! Overall increase in confidence!

Cons:

Only came off dianette because i noticed it make me a bit emotional. Nothing serious, just home sick after my first week of being away from home, when usually I'd never get home sick

Would definately recommend this product. However 2months on after stopping taking it and I'm after getting 2 or 3 spots which is annoying since for the last year and a half i've had none! Thinking of trying to maintain a better diet and maybe take a vitamin b5 supplement to solve that problem this time. I'm back to my old bust size but happy to say that throughout my course of taking dianette I've maintained my weight as normal, havent had to deal with headackes or mirgraines, didnt notice any mood swings.. I'm the same as ever really!

Pros:

Clear skin, increased confidence, emotionally balanced.

Cons:

I have not really experienced any downsides to Dianette. So far everything has been very positive for me.

Dianette has worked very well for me and I have experienced no downsides to using this pill. At this stage I could not face going back to the way I was, greasy hair, face neck back chest and upper arms destroyed with painful spots. I never went out and only started dating when I was 25. Iam now 28 and as I dont want children in the future, I envisage no problems with continuing to use Dianette.

Pros:

Cleared up spots

Cons:

None

I have been on Diane 35 for the last 10 years and 6 weeks ago finally took the decision to come off it thinking that my spots surely wouldn't return. Well the good news was that my period came only 2 weeks late but the bad news is that my forehead is covered in pimples. I can't believe how oily my face has become in such a short space of time and my hair too. My self-confidence has bombed. I'm only hoping now that they don't spread. I really don't fancy going back on the Dianette so I'm going to wait a couple more months to see if my skin sorts its self out (if I can hold out that long!) and maybe try out Yasmin if all else fails. Looking at my skin now, I can't believe how good Dianette actually was - I totally took it for granted my great skin. I'm now spending an extra 10 mins in the bathroom trying to cover myself up!

Pros:

Cleared my skin right up within 6 months! Lighter periods.

Cons:

Your body goes awful when you come off of it, worse acne then before, super greasy skin, painful periods.

Works great. I came off of this pill when my skin cleared up...BIG MISTAKE. My skin is now AWFUL, worse then ever before and i've had no choice but to go back on it! Waiting for it to kick in again.
