Pros:

having been on many other types of medication, this is the first one to give me significant differences where i feel my skin is beginning to win the battle against acne. It is easy to take (in the form of capsules) and is very quick!

Cons:

it does cause some stomach discomfort however weighed against the benefits i feel it is a positive outcome thus far. It has made my skin dry but only as much as any of the other medications. Less side effects but less effective than roaccutane.

very positive medication with great results. I would use if you have had little success with previous medication and are looking for a real change and are willing to go through some of the mild side effects :)

Pros:

This product has reduced a lot of the redness that used to be on my skin and has eliminated at least 30% of my acne and I have only been taking this pill for 4 days!

Cons:

Although the product works pretty well it makes me go to the bathroom a lot and rarely gives me chest pains.

I've had moderate acne for at least 2 to 3 years and to see that one of the many products I have used has finally worked makes me feel really good. You will see a huge difference in your skin just days after trying this product.

Pros:

cleared up acne within 2 months, skin was completely clear.

Cons:

stopped working after 6 months acne is starting to return did not have any sickness or tummy upset

It took 3 weeks to kick in my skin was completely clear with not 1 spot for about 5 months. Then docs took the amount down and it started to come back so i put it back up but i think im immune to it now, as acne is returning. Was not expensive either. Going back to docs this week to find an alternative.

Pros:

Reduces redness, clears spots

Cons:

Dry skin in morning, greasy towards the end of the day :( Oh and it takes forever to dry - which is anoying in the morning before school.

When i first started using Steimycin topical solution, it really worked and my skin was practically clear in a week and was really happy with the outcome. Then my doctor prescribed me tablets (Oxyteterine?) And this mademe break out in EVEN MORE than i had in the first place. So i went back to the steimycin and it is a very slow process but you do see a gradual impovement over the weeks, i would recommend this product. Im 15 years old by the way.

Pros:

Clears up spots and keeps most of them away!
Took them for about a year and was clear.

Cons:

I felt sick a bit after taking them, but feelings sick is better than having acne!

I tried all the lotions and creams out there, nothing worked... antibiotics were the next step. If you've tried them all, i'd definatly give these a go.

Pros:

Works fast, doesn't irritate, easy to apply, GPs are very willing to prescribe.

Cons:

Powdery texture once dry which doesn't mix well with some make-up & BP gels (especially DK's regimin), short expiry date means lots of repeat scripts.

Brand is called Zineryt. This is a really nice quick fix. I am using it with Spironolactone so cannot verify that this is doing the job on its own. Topicals don't reduce oilyness (spiro does that) but used regularly they can really help prevent the odd breakout. I'm happy with this product.

Pros:

clears acne quickly easy to apply.

Cons:

it stinks of vinger

i started using zineryt a few months ago and it worked really well until about 4 weeks ago when my acne started to come back again so i started to eat healthier and kept on using zineryt and my acne has died down a little bit again. before that my doctor gave me panoxyl which is a gel that you apply to your skin once a did but that made my skin inflamed and my acne spot look sore and red so that did not work and i stoped using that.

Pros:

this worked for me, i have been on this since 2001 - now. that is about 8 years, and it helped slow down my acne, i got less acne now.

Cons:

i have lost alot of weight, alot of people, including friends say this damges the liver, but i don't know what is true and whats not. i asked my doctor and he told me it doesnt do any damage to the liver.

this has a very goos result, depending on what your lifestyle is, i dont know if i can tell you to go out anf get this. i eat very little, perhaps once a day, i am 24 and under 8 stone. very unhealthy, but i find it hard to eat, i dont know if this habbit has something to do with me taking this drug for the past 8 years, as my weight as decreased in that time. personally, i had a good result, over the last 8 years using this. but today i spoke to my doctor and started using DOXYCYCLINE, 2 times a day for the 1st day, then once a day after that. check back with my GP after a few months to see if this works.

Pros:

Works superbly well for me. Used to get pus filled pimples. Erythro clears everything right up. Skin is smooth with perhaps one pimple per month (before period)

Cons:

The moment u stop usage of erythro, the pimples come back with a vengence.

Acne is a never ending batrtle unless your bodies hormones decides to sort itself out.

Great medication to clear up your skin. But of course, as all acne medications, the acne just come back the moment u get off the medication
