The Cure for All Evil (skin evil that is)
I used extra virgin olive oil- cold pressed, every single night before bed for about a whole entire year and my skin remained absolutely perfect. Since then, I have stopped using it (because I got out of habit due to traveling and feel gross having oil on my face while sleeping), and I've noticed that I have began to get pimples again. That proves that the reason my skin was absolutely flawless that other year was because of my olive oil regimen. It is also amazing for stretch marks, and damaged/ over-bleached hair. From experience, it takes about 2 weeks of continuously putting olive oil on your skin at night to see serious and long-term improvement. You must continue to put olive oil on every night for clear, healthy, beautiful skin. Eventually, without the regimen, your skin might go back to its usual ways. It prevents and heals pimples/acne, it is not a permanent CURE for all future pimples. Steps: - Wash face, exfoliate if desired, and pat dry. - Take a generous amount of olive oil and massage onto skin for 2-3 minutes, especially on pimples/acne and wrinkles/fine lines. - Go to sleep and try not to let the olive oil rub off over night. (It's alright if it does since you massaged it in, but it's better if it doesn't) - Wake up in the morning and wash the olive oil off of your face with soap/face wash and water. Warning/Tips: - If there is still olive oil residue on your face, your face will get tanned much faster and more easily. - Putting your olive oil into a mini squirting bottle on your side table near your bed makes life easier. - Squirt a generous amount of olive oil into your palms - Rub hands together and massage olive oil into your skin. - Try to find the most organic extra virgin olive oil, COLD PRESSED in a glass bottle! Can be more easily found in more ethnic or Mediterranean stores such as Arab food stores for example, rather than places such as Walmart. - Great Value brand could potentially provide some sort of benefit, but it is best to use more authentic and organic olive oil. One-time results: - Massaging for a few minutes onto acne or pimples before bed will reduce inflammation by 30%-50% the next morning - Massaging for a few minutes onto a NEWLY forming cystic pimple (under the skin, the painful kind) before bed will basically "kill" it. - Leaves skin moisturized and healthy looking. 2+ week results: - Major decrease in pimple/acne scars (discolored scars, not sure about indented ones) - Moisturized skin. - No more pimples - Heals sun-burns. Life time results: - Youthful skin - Gets rid of wrinkles and fine lines - Soft, moisturized skin - Acne-free face - Reduction of stretch marks if you put it on those as well - Helps in growth of eyelashes if you put it on them as well. Seriously, ALWAYS USE THIS! I also recommend using vaseline overtop of the pimples. BUT WARNING, some say that vaseline clogs pores. I have only seen positive results from vaseline every single time. Never anything negative. Everyones skin is different. It may work some some and not others. Olive oil does NOT clog your pores. It has anti- inflammatory, anti-aging properties and antioxidants.

is it ok to clean face with a soap in morning if you are on oil cleansing method?
September 27, 2014
Thumbs up!
I love love love using olive oil for my skin & lips. I started using olive oil last summer for deep tanning and I noticed that my skin was really improving. So I did some research and a loot of people were saying that olive oil was really good for their skin. I decided to stop using all my cleansers and moisturizers (which were burt bee's and say yes to tomatoes..mostly all naturally because I HATE chemicals/non organic crap) and just strictly use olive oil. I made up a routine for myself, which is every night before I go to bed I remove my makeup off with the olive oil and water. I massage the oil into my skin, wash it off with water and then take paper towel and wipe off all the makeup/oil and then once more wash my skin with water (use ONLY warm water, not hot or cold). I pat dry my face and apply nothing else on my skin after. Then in the morning I would only wash my face with water (again no moisturizer or anything). Using olive oil every night allowed my skin to become more moisturized, shinier and softer, and it gave me a more even skin tone. I also use olive oil on my lips in order to make them smooth and shiny. I am so glad I switched to using strictly olive oil for my skin because I have seen huge results. I have always had acne since freshmen year of high school and no matter what moisturizers or face washes I used, nothing helped. This truly is MY miracle beauty product. I can't speak on behalf of everyone because everyones skin is different but it works for me! I would definitely give it a try!! Just make sure that if you're going to be using olive oil, buy a really good one in a glass bottle and store it in a cool, dry place.

Miracle product, if not I can explain your mistake

Pros:

Gets rid of acne
Corrects skin tone, natural sunscreen
Fades all types scars, even deep ones

Cons:

BEWARE of fraud extra virgin olive oil companies
Can result in terrible breakout if you use the wrong oil

One day while I was searching for a seemingly hopeless acne/acne scar cure, I came across a comment that talked about extra virgin olive oil massages. It said to massage entire face with oil for 20+ minutes, which would correct skin tone, eliminate acne, get rid of any acne scarring, and moisturize your face all at the same time. Wow, that sounded amazing, like a miracle. I bought some 'orgainic' spanish EVOO from Trader Joes and immediately started massaging that night. The next morning I woke up with a horrible breakout. Every pore clogged. But, i was an idiot and continued to massage every night. My acne started looking worse than ever before, but suprisingly my scars were fading and looking smoother after only a week. But I couldn't deal with the clogged pores so I stopped using it. Immediately after stopping my skin improved, so I believed that I was unlucky and this treatment didn't work for me. Months later I got a facial and the lady there asked how my pores got so clogged up, i told her it was most likely using EVOO. She was surprised, and told me that shouldn't happen because its noncomedogenic. So I went home and did some research. And I found out the olive oil I bought was a from a FRAUD COMPANY and it was not real extra virgin oil. Apparently, 70% of olive oils aren't 100% extra virgin, which explains why so many people are breaking out using this treatment. Look for a local oil company that you can TRUST. Do you research, invest like $10 and you will have beautiful skin for the rest of your life. I guarantee it. Don't listen to the comments saying its not for everybody and it breaks you out. Those people are using fake olive oil like I did. Wash your hands, pour a little oil in your hands, and massage semi-vigorously for 20 minutes a day. Space it out, like 5 in the mornin and 15 at night. Olive oil is a natural sunscreen too so morning application is great. Good luck and have fun with your perfect skin!

Pros:

A LOT cheaper than jojoba oil...10$ for 16oz bottle of organic trader joes extra virgin olive oil. L-O-V-E what this product has done for my skin..use it w/ the regimen just as you would the jojoba oil. It's uses are endless..face, body, hair, lips.

Cons:

I really haen't found any yet..it's been 3 weeks. It could be the cause of some very small minor blackheads on chin...but you would need a magnifying glass to see them. The benefits FAR outweigh this small issue

I am obsessed w/ this stuff! I use it everyday.. and my skin is looking better than ever. it helps reduce irritation caused by BP and gives your skin an amazing glow. My suggestions for use -quarter size in the palm of your hands, rub into face first thing in morning before washing. Really massage it in for about 5 min. Rinse with warm water, then gentley cleanse with a mild cleanser.(if you have sensitive acne prone skin like mine that tends to get dried out from the bp..it's ok if after cleansing if you still feel a slight film on your face. I find this to be a protective barrier.) Pat dry. -also makes a great face and body scrub just mix with sugar (great for exfoliating your lips too!) -comb through dry hair before getting in shower (give it a generous coat concentrating on ends) then just shampoo and condition as normal. AMAZING!! Do this as often as needed it's so good for your hair I can't say enough good things about this product! I have struggled with breakouts for years..and would never have thought in a million years of using oil on my face. i think i speent sooo much time drying out my skin by over using acne products that I just kept making it worse and more painful. Being gentle and calming your skin is so important, i wish i had learned this earlier. *i am 29 and this is a great remedy for my aging, acne prone, sensitive skin..i do not know if the results would be the same for oily severe acne or teenage acne.

Pros:

- Helps to fade red marks
- Helps to get rid of blackheads
- Helps existing pimples go down without leaving a mark
- Helps soften skin and gives it a healthy glow

Cons:

- A little expensive (but you get what you pay for)
- Leaves your face very oily (obviously!), so I only use it at night

My acne is sloooowly getting better, however all the pimples that I have had throughout my life have left red marks on my skin. I am very, very pale, so the marks are very noticeable and my face always looks very red due to the fact that it is covered in little red marks. These marks are allegedly supposed to fade within weeks or months, but mine seem to have lasted for years (no joke). I had heard some really good things about olive oil and since my mum uses it all the time for cooking, we already had some (so I'm not sure of the exact price - although I know extra virgin olive oil can be quite pricey). I've only been using it for about a week, but already I'm seeing some great changes! - My red marks are fading (slowly but surely!) - Existing pimples have gone down without leaving a red mark - I haven't had any new bad pimples (and that is really uncommon for me, especially at this time of the month!) - The new pimples that I got were tiny and went away overnight - The blackheads that I've had for about 4 years on my nose are going too - My skin has a really healthy glow and it's super soft I only use the olive oil at night because it makes your face too greasy to use during the day. I wash my face with Cetaphil, then I massage on some EVOO and leave it there for 10-15 minutes. Then I wash it off, rub a cotton wool ball soaked in green tea over my face and I'm done! I would really recommend olive oil. It's all natural and has done some really great things for my skin!

Can I leave the olive oil for a night?
August 7, 2014
Love it.
It makes my skin super soft. What I do is every 3 days I use a scrub with olive oil and sugar and just scrub away. Then I just wash it off with water. Since oil and water don't mix the olive oil will still be there so it'll moisturize your face. The other days I just apply olive oil and then I wash with a mild cleanser. Since olive oil breaks down the sebum that your clogs pores then I just wash it off so the residue of the clogged pores won't stay there. Then I just apply a little of olive oil for moisturizer and wipe off the excess with a paper towel. I started using it a week ago.

Pros:

I had very oily skin as a young teen being only 14. I was afraid of the acne that would soon breakout. I washed my face with water crazy, until I had dry and oily skin. I went to a camp over the summer where I met 4 Italian kids with great skin. They recomended Extra Virgin Olive Oil for treatment. They used Extra Virgin Olive Oil for everything, and they were so healthy and young looking. They had Extra Virgin Olive Oil with them in their suitcase.

Cons:

They had oil put in a bottle for me. I tried it every night. 1.Wash face with water. 2. Massage a thin layer of Extra Virgin Olive Oil to face. 3. Dab face dry lightly with a washcloth.
... The next morning my face was so toned and soft. I was amazed. I used it every nught and after about three weeks...my skin was healed and I no longer have fear of acne. Extra Virgin Olive Oil has been used as a beauty product for many years in the Mediterranean.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a miracle prosuct that saved me, before acne broke out. I am so happy for my caribg Italian friends, and I love to use the oil for dry skin, and my food. Everyone should know this Mediterranean secret! It works!

Pros:

Absorbs pretty quickly (if you don't use too much)
Very moisturizing
Doesn't cause break outs

Cons:

Easy to use too much

I have been using this as a moisturizer in the morning and night for a few weeks. At first I was using way too much, so my skin actually ended up being drier (probably because my skin stopped producing its own oil). Now I wash my face with a mild cleanser and then apply a little bit of olive oil (maybe 3-4 drops?) to my face while it's wet. I keep rubbing it in until all of the water and oil have been absorbed, which does not take very long. I am sensitive to a lot of skin care products, as most things break me out, and while results vary a lot from person to person, I would encourage you to try out olive oil and see how it goes for you.

Pros:

Inexpensive, no scary chemical, validated by CENTURIES of use, efficient: face wash, eye and skin make-up remover, moisturizer.

Cons:

Can only use EVOO, 1st cold pressed, a little more expensive than the cheap stuff.

Oil attracts oil and pulls out sebum from the skin. Mix a blend with 10-20% castor oil (oilier skin needs more, you can determine the best blend for you) and 80-90% EVOO ONLY, do not use any other olive oil. 1. Massage into skin (including gently on eyes to remove mascara) for approximately three minutes. 2. Rinse a washcloth with hot (as much as you can stand, not scalding) water and wring out. 3. Lay the washcloth on your face until it cools. 4. Wipe your face (gently), DO NOT SCRUB. 5.Rinse the washcloth out 6. Repeat steps 2-4 2x more.

The cure of acne
The fatty acids and vitamins in olive oil is basically the cure of acne. Even if you have oily skin this will work. I know I sounds weird to cure skin that produces to much "oil" with even more oil, but what the skin produces isn't oil, it's talc. So acrually you don't have oily skin, you have "talcy" skin. I know, lol, but seriously, it's true, just google it! ðŸ'"ðŸ'» So no, it's actually not weird. It's not fighting fire with fire. So after you have read all of this I don't think it takes more than to say, JUST DO IT!

Hello, I can´t find about skin producing talc on google, please post a reference if possible. I thought skin produced a kind of wax.
December 29, 2015
Where on earth did you get this idea from? The skin does not produce magnesium silicate...unless there is some other talc (short for talcum) that I am unaware of. Perhaps you are getting the words confused? Sebum is not the same as talcum.
