Don't use olive oil alone
My skin had been under control in comparison but it was a little too dry and oily. I wanted to oil cleanse, I massaged some olive oil into my face and washed it off immediately. The next day my face looked like my face when it first hit puberty. Diy isn't always the answer. Buy a real oil cleanser.

Not sure of this..
So I have been using olive oil for about 2 months as a moisturizer in day and night, and it has not cleared any of my pimples or prevented them. I make sure to use the organic cold pressed brands, and I pat the excess after moisturizing with a towel. I get a lot of pimples on my cheeks and nose, and I also get a lot of under the skin pimples and ones that have pus(I don't know the exact word). I also have a lot of scars from previous pimples which also did not heal. My pimples tend to stay around in the same place for months and when they go they scar or new ones come. It's just really frustrating, I thought I could help my skin with the olive oil but it has not been working at all, the only positive outcome is that my skin has been feeling very hydrated and isn't oily or dry.

Pros:

softens skin
glow
very good if you can't find a moisturizer for acne prone skin

Cons:

-may make you break out if used too much
-don't use during hot days
- oily looking
-kinda piles on face. heavy feeling
-not for moderate to severe acne
- dont apply on pimples

Make sure to rub it in well. I recommend applying 2-3 drops when your face is wet to eliminate the greasiness. Rub in well but not on the spots where you have acne or white heads. Use it at night mostly. You can use it during the day if the weather is dry or cold. It will make you break out in hot weather. If you have another moisturizer, then use that during the day. This is a last resort mostly-at-night sorta thing.

Pros:

Very moisturizing
Wipes off the dirt and make up BIG TIME
Perfect for damaged, dry and scaled skin
helps acne a little (for some people)

Cons:

Sticky gooey
Hard to remove
does not work for most people

I used this years years ago when my acne wasn't this bad. I had light acne and my problem was dry and red skin because i washed my face too much and didn't use lotions or creams. I put olive oil on my face like a lotion and massage it mostly on my cheeks (driest area) I had the few pimples on my forehead back then. I can't say the olive oil dries them up, because they don't. The olive oil moisturize the skin, so even with a few pimples, my skin looked soft and glowing..I think this remedy is for light or very light acne and not for the serious 10-30 spots on your face. if you have severe acne, i think olive oil can make it worse. Last week, i had really bad acne and i tried the olive oil again. it did absolutely nothing but aggravate my pimples more. it made it worse. once my acne has calmed down and diminish, i'd use olive oil again for bringing back moisture and to even my skin tone. (Its good when mixed with lemon juice) **don't use on severe acne***

Pros:

Good moisturizer
Does not clog pores

Cons:

Did not clear up blemishes

I tried to use this in an oil cleanse. Just putting the oil directly on my face and rubbing it in for a while then rinsing off with very warm water and a wash clothe. It did not help my acne at all but it did moisturize really well and help keep my skin from producing so much oil.
