Pros:

Soothing, light, non-greasy

Cons:

Not moisturizing enough, takes long to dry

The new moisturizer is not moisturizing enough for people with dry, sensitive skin like myself. I use about 6 pumps and still get dry flakes. I imagine it is a perfectly good moisturizer for most people with not so sensitive/dry skin.

Pros:

doesn't cause breakouts!
goes on easily

Cons:

doesn't actually moisturize
doesn't combat flaky skin in the long run

First of all, thanks to Acne.org, and the DKR for everything you have done! I love my new face. I have been using this produce (and the other Acne.Org products) for over 6 months. I am 27 years old, and follow the DKR carefully. Although this lotion feels nice going on, and doesn't cause breakouts, I found that after a while (especially in the dry winter months up here in Maine) that it didn't actually combat my flakiness due to the BP applications. I was using tons of jojoba and just basically using the moisturizer to spread the jojoba around. I work at a coffeeshop, and would feel the flakes coming back within hours. It's pretty embarrassing to serve a latte with skin peeling off of your face. I switched to Cetaphil's moisturizing lotion a few days ago, and wow, what a difference. No breakouts, but actually moisturizes. It feels thick and greasy going on, but after a few minutes your skin feels like new. I feel soft, supple, and flake-free all day. Plus, you can pick it up at the store, and you only need a few drops of jojoba with it... For those who are struggling with Dan's product and are looking for a new product to turn to, I would recommend it heartily!

Pros:

Non-greasy formula.
Absorbs well.
Little to no fragrance.
Very pleasant on the skin.

Cons:

Takes a while for the moisturiser to work.

My face dried up severely when I used BP. I would apply the moisturiser regularly, every 2 times a day. Sometimes, I would need a little more throughout the day because my skin was incredibly dry and flaky.

Pros:

Did not cause me to break out
Not greasy
Goes on smooth

Cons:

Does not moisturize
Made my face very dry

I'm unhappy with the new moisturizer; I miss the old one. My face has never been this dry. It doesn't matter how much I apply, it just doesn't moisturize (not even the jojoba oil helps). The only reason I rated it a 2 was because it didn't break me out. Sorry Dan.

Pros:

Positive that this does not cause breakouts, reduces redness from BP or AHA application

Cons:

Does not moisturize or take care of flakes

I've used the new moisturizer for about 9 months. The one good thing about it is that you can be sure that this product will not cause your skin to break out. It is a very mild formula that also helps to reduce redness caused from application of BP or AHA. However, it hardly functions as a moisturizer and does not take care of flakes. I view this product as more of an inert base with which to mix jojoba oil with. I have to add a lot of jojoba oil to the product to hydrate my skin and I feel that the oil does the moisturizing while the lotion gives me a medium with which to spread it around my face. The lotion is quite runny and takes a long time to absorb. Even with the added jojoba oil I still end up getting flakes within a couple of hours and my face feels dry and tight. Bottom line: safe to use but not a very effective moisturizer.

Pros:

Good for your skin (supposedly)

Cons:

Not moisturizing enough.

I've been on the Regimen for a good 6-7 years, and I must admit that this moisturizer is nowhere near as useful to me as the original one. When I first started the regimen I was using some "Eucerin" lotion that was by far the best on the market - until it was discontinued. When Dan came out with his original formula it was exactly what I needed, and I'm still using it to the day, though I'm finally running out forever. I've bought a few bottles of this new formula to use when it wouldn't be detrimental, such as the summer when it's not as dry outside, and this moisturizer may be an awesome mix of chemicals, but it just doesn't do what a moisturizer should do, and that's moisturize.

Pros:

-Non-comedogenic
-Helps with my flaking a lot better than other regimen recommended moisturizers

Cons:

-It burns when you first put it on
-It makes my vision cloudy/tired by the end of the day (I believe another reviewer mentioned the same problem)
-It makes my skin look very greasy
-Pricey

I have been following the regimen for a month now. I used Cetaphil as my moisturizer, but my flaking was out of control and I was concerned about some of its comedogenic ingredients. I decided to try the Acne.org moisturizer. Even though my flaking was mostly under control, I found the cons to outweigh the pros. I will be going back to Cetaphil for the time being and will start trying out other non-comedogenic moisturizers until I find one I really like.
