The Truth Behind This Mositurizer
Other reviewers have posted negative reviews stating that this moisturizer dried out their skin. Let me explain this... I switched away from this to a few different CeraVe moisturizers, because I did not like the shine this put on my face. Using CeraVe for the first week was great, until my face had a thick, waxy layer I could not wash off. My face then started producing the same shine with CeraVe, along with a few breakouts. The reason behind this is because I have an oily nose, chin, and forehead (combination skin). CeraVe is great for those with dry or normal skin, but it will over-hydrate oily skin, leading to more breakouts. This moisturizer was formulated to help prevent that. People with oily skin have more of an acne problem than people with dry or normal skin. If you have dry skin, you should definitely try a CeraVe moisturizer. Although, if you have oily skin (which many acne sufferers do), this is your best option at avoiding over-hydrated skin. Simply, this moisturizer hardly moisturizers enough to compensate the moisture loss from the benzoyl peroxide. PS: The licochalcone in this moisturizer is what gives it it's yellow color. This can be very beneficial for people who are still adjusting to the regimen, or in cold climates, as licochalcone is calming to the skin. I like it because it makes my face look tan and healthy, which cancels the whitening effect of the benzoyl peroxide (preventing a pale face). Make sure not to get it on any white fabrics, as it will stain yellow.

Doesnt absorb quickly
I purchased this with the treatment. I always have a very difficult time finding a moisturizer for my veryyyy sensitive and combination skin that wont break me out and this stuff doesnt! yay what a plus! however, this stuff takes forever to get absorbed!! I used half the amount recommended, like half a pump, and it still takes forever to get absorbed. Once it is absorbed (a few minutes) my face doesnt feel greasy. a lot of ppl complain about the colour, but it is no difficult than the famous clinique moisturizer! it doesnt change the colour of my skin once absorbed. in conclusion, i like this one, i will repurchase as the positive out weight the negative!

Pros:

Moisturizes
Inexpensive
Light

Cons:

Have to apply too much of it
Its color
Makes my face glow

I'm not sure what it is, but the moisturizer is great in all, in terms of hydrating my face, but it makes my face glow like crazy! It seems that it really never absorbs. It just sits on my face until I wash it off. It makes me not want to apply it anymore. It works to an extent, but the trade off is hardly worth it.

Pros:

Good price, nice to find a decent volume of product available in one package.

Cons:

The tint.

I hadnt even applied this product yet when I noticed a bit had squeezed its way out of the base of the pump, it was a funny color but I assumed it had darkened from drying out. After removing the cap to clean it I realized that the lotion itself actually IS that color. This is not good. Ill assume the tint is an unintended consequence of an ingredient that is deemed necessary for the effectiveness of the product, just the same, Im out. Would love to have a clean, simple moisturizer without all the herbal, homeopathic bells and whistles (i.e. Cetaphil). Love your other products, but I will not be perpetually worried about staining sheets, pillow cases, shirts and towels.

Pros:

goes on easily, moisturizes very well, no scent, does not cause breakouts

Cons:

does not fully absorb, leaves face looking shiny and greasy, yellow stains on white clothes

Although I am pleased that this product moisturizes well and does not cause breakouts for me, ultimately I am disappointed with it due to the fact that I cannot wear it during the day. It never fully absorbs and leaves my face looking very greasy. It's great for overnight use (especially if my skin is feeling extra parched), but overall this is not enough for me to continue purchasing it.

Bring back original please
The original yellow formula was a very good moisturizer. I know he says that removing the color has nothing to do with the products formula but somehow it does! I’m writing this review in an effort to join many other reviews here advocating to bring back the original moisturizer with the yellow color and all!! PLEASE ! :)

Pros:

Lightweight
Fast-absorbing

Cons:

Yellow-ish/brownish stain residue (biggest problem)

Need to reapply multiple times, not very moisturizing

I really have a love and hate relationship with this product. I love how lightweight it is and how it feels like water on my skin once absorbed (it absorbs pretty fast), but I absolutely HATE how my skin looks afterwards. The yellow/brown stain is horrible, and while my skin glows from using the regimen cleanser and treatment and from the after effects of AHA used the night before, the moisturizer covers it all up with the staining (I'm following the regimen to the letter). My sincere wish is to see this product work. I'd like to see the absence of the staining and a little more moisturizing power. I honestly think that the product is amazing in terms of price and the amount that we receive. No product on the market shelves have please me so far because they are too thick or too small in quantity (thus expensive). I really hope Dan re-develops this product! The Regimen has saved me and I can never go back to any other acne cure again, I just wish that this moisturizer can be re-developed so that I can continue to support Dan's products.

Pros:

Doesn't break me out.
Dries okay fast
I'm very allergic to everything (perfume, parabens etc.) but not this!

Cons:

leaves my skin looking yellow-ish (sometimes)
DOESN'T MOISTURIZE MY SKIN ENOUGH!!
Didn't even help with JOJOBA-oil.. Dissapointing, but it was better then having no moisturizer at all or one that broke my skin out..

No go for me but I bet it works for some.. or maybe I just use to much benzoyl peroxide.. I'm cutting down but it still doesn't work as well as Alba's with green tea and aloe..

Mixed Reviws
I have an interesting relationship with the moisturizer. I feel as though sometimes it does its job, and other times it does not. When I had first started using the regimen it would not moisturize my skin (even with the addition of jojoba oil), it felt and looked greasy, and my skin would burn. The only thing I liked was the added tint to my skin, as it evened my skin tone and helped hide my blemishes. There was a period during my 1-2 month process where the skin around my eyes and mouth became very flaky and dry. During this period I would use the moisturizer only in areas where I wasn't sensitive/irritated and any areas where my skin was sensitive/irritated I would apply Aveeno baby moisturizer. I was so desperate at the time (and convinced it would work) that I stuck it through for 1-2 months and used the entire regimen twice daily. Over time my skin had begun to significantly clear up; it ended up adapting to and absorbing the moisturizer very well (without the addition of jojoba oil). Now, I have no problems with the moisturizer and am content with what it does for me. I like that it does not feel thick on my skin, I no longer look greasy, and I certainly do not feel irritated by it. I feel as though it could be slightly better, but it could also be worse. I have mixed reviews, as I think that much of it may have to do with skin type and how one's skin reacts to it.
